Why do we hate ourselves so much?

Everything is spiritual and all the things being pushed is coming from somewhere. greed is one of them.

So like call me nuts, but I feel like the BBLs are mocking Sara Baartman. Unintentionally or not. Everyone can do what they please. That said ultimately I feel it’s disrespectful to our 🖐🏽 history.

Lol what this woman doesn't realize is that many of them claim to be Christians but lack true understanding of the bible. Yes i do know that the devil is behind almost all the madness in this world. However, what she is preaching isn't exactly biblical. Yes, we wrestle against darkness, but what i realize is that these forces deluded us from actually understanding what the bible is saying and clearly stands for and they go ahead and start preaching a whole other gospel. If you truly are Christian and you believe in judgment etc, why do many of us solely blame the devil even though he influences and all of that, but at some point we have to be honest and take ownership. We are caught up in a false sense of Christianity and we unknowingly put Satan at the forefront of Christianity and then wonder why all these crap be happening to them and many others in the world. Get the correct gospel right, understand how important Jesus is to us and Christianity, and then you will understand why all these unnecessary spiritual takes and obsession is deception and should be Unlearned. That's all i have to say.

Wait, so people can’t use assistance to lose weight under the care of a doctor? If you and your doctor think that ozempic or another medication, will be helpful, then you should take it without feeling like your being disobedient to God. So to me she is proselytizing which is fine I guess. But there’s nothing spiritual about it. It’s people looking at their bodies as not good enough and buying into the messed up beauty standards. And as far as marking your body or cutting your body according to the Bible, she needs to look at the historical context of when the verses were written, who wrote them and so on. You can’t pick out a few verses and apply them to everyone. But that’s just me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was women (and some men) making terrible decisions with their bodies based on vanity and insecurity. Not too long ago the beauty "trend" was to be super skinny. It was so bad that anorexia and bulimia ran rampant through the white community but they could also get modeling gigs and have whole modeling careers and were seen as the beauty standard. No one calles it a "ritual" back them. 🙄 Black people call things rituals to obsolve them from accountability for their actions.

OMG😮...so glad you're speaking on this topic. I was introduced to Carol's Daughter over 20 years ago. My girlfriend attended a conference in New York City, and one of the takeaways was gift sets of Carol's Daughter. We instantly fell in love with the body scubs in glass jars with sea shells, starfish etc ...the body butters had sticks of cinnamon inserted in the round metal cans. She had such a devine, authentic product. Unfortunately, when selling your company and mass producing your product, it interrupts the integrity of the original invention. The products are not at all what they used to be.😢

She doesn't realize it, but she just demonstrated why black women are unattractive. The anger, being mine & having an attitude for no reason.

Whew! Take accountability & still shades the lady , a lot of people have that energy , just do your part & doing my hair .. but couldn’t even do that. I don’t like how people have books open the week of and don’t check if they have appointments . This has happened to me , when I booked the night or the day /days before and the hair stylist was confused or didn’t know I was even suppose to be there. People want to be entrepreneurs but don’t want to do the tedious tasks…just close the books out a week or two before that time comes around so it won’t happen & surprise you again. It’s a simple fix.

I don’t need it!!!! maybe I’m cheap or poor or a combination of both, but I’m never in my black life going to ever, nor have I ever paid 350 US American dollars for a hairdo!!! no ma’am, no sir no way!!!!

Jordan does great AMAZING WORK. HE DEFINITELY TAKES CARE OF NATURAL HAIR. He licensed and he dnt ask you to bring anything and always On point. My natural hair was 21in long thanks to him. He used to have a UA-cam channel. I hate to see this but yes he eat on any hair he does. He care about your hair. Just my personal opinion as a client

This is no disrespect to the cosmetologist or the young lady. I'm speaking in general. Situations like this wouldn't be as bad or happen as often if black people actually had a code of conduct we lived by. Years ago we had rules and regulations as a people that helps us conduct ourselves and we were better people because of it. Somewhere in the early 2000s, all of that went away and we have been worse off. Cyn Doll made a good point that we need to go back to gatekeeping. Some areas in life need to be restricted to the people with the proper credentials. These Instagram stylists and even these "veneer techs" popping up in ATL are a great example of why gatekeeping is necessary. When people don't have a code of conduct they get lazy and start cutting corners and that's what we're seeing now and it affects all of us.

They used to have a beautiful store on 125 street that was awesome .

They changed the product before it was bought by a few different celebrities like Jada Pickett AND Mary J Blige the quality dropped off - it went to a cheaper oil.

From my experience, every race of men has told me they preferred straight hair. Every time I’ve worn my natural hair or natural hair, textured hairstyles, they didn’t like it. 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ I was told it was too big. I’ve worn braids before, and I was told they looked like prison braids, and this was coming from a Jamaican man 😂 i’ve watched She-Ra sevens videos and what she said was curly hair is beautiful she wears her hair curly, but when dating a particular status wear your hair straight, get the lifestyle, then wear your natural hair. And as for her not liking black men, she said she wouldn’t date a Younger, black male, which I won’t either he would have to be 50 on up because of the culture of the generation, that is what she was talking about. Her channel is not for golddiggers and sugar babies. It’s for all women to make sure they come out and going into a relationship with something. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY in the 90s. Carol Daughter’s first flagship store was in Fort Greene Brooklyn, not Harlem. In the 90s she was more of a natural fragrance creator with a large variety of body butters, oils, perfume, soaps along with her haircare. In the 90s many women still had relaxers so that was not as popular as the variety of scented body products. But all the Brooklyn bohemians loved and wore her wonderful products,
