- This is an S2000 we built several years ago.
The FX300 Clutch has been in there for 7 years with boost. It's for a new one and we find the exhaust needs a change too.
Plus, we change the detente springs in an S2000 Transmission.

That s2000 has close to 200k on it and the last seven years have been forced induction.😯
Impressive....
I really like the muffler install and the clutch install. details make all the difference.
Top work as always
Thanks for the upload
Great content as usual 👌
Awesome video again John and George! You guys do the best work! Keep it up and can’t wait to see the next mods on the ‘shop S2000’!
Truly AWESOME ! - Shows, and highlights the fantastic work, and complete quality this shop produces ! Love the always complete showing of work ! Excellent as always ! Thank you for the further information and Quality !
Wow Jon you are literally a bank of knowledge.
nice car!
Love that sweater on Ester
Another fine job sir. Thanks for giving me a good start to my day.😎👌🏾👍🏽
Thanks buddy.
The black AP1 is a great great setup! Would have never thought about going with a smaller tip, but such a great move LHT .
I love this channel u guys do good work
Thanks so much.
Ive seen that alot in Magnaflows after about 5years of age
Love the exhaust. Want to do one on my wife's 2016 honda pilot lol.
Remove the resonator; add a CAI that J motor will sing. And an axle back should be fine for wife
Wow this is a clean S2K. I don't mind the old turbo kit. It clearly is proven as it's been 7 years.
Years ago when I went to evasive for a clutch job. They recommend exedy over oem , with OEM bearings. Well 1 week after the the clutch Change the clutch would not grab. I had to remove it. They had used the exedy TO bering which exploded and the had zip tied the boot cause they had riped it. They lied and charged me for oem and never thought it would happened.. not everyone is as honest as LHT.
Many people believe Exedy make the OEM and it’s the same thing. It’s absolutely NOT. There’s also a reason the aftermarket TO bearings cost around $22 and the OEM/Nachi is $160. I remember when the Exedy clutch was $199 , we installed them and replaced them within a year. Insist on better.
Great work as always. Can you tell me the brand of the resonator you added?
Is the Evo that used parts from the owners wrecked black car? I've never owned an S2000 but I've been subbed for about 4 years and now to see an Evo in the shop.
single muffler upgrade/replacement?? thanks John.
can you tell me what is the size of the resonator?
Instead of changing the detention springs you can just put a washer behind them to increase the pressure
It needs to more than just a washer. It would need to be a ‘Top hat’ type shape. If not the washer could end up going into the transmission.
Do you need anything on the bolts for the shift springs? That manual mentioned Honda Bond to seal them & didn't give a torque spec.
There isn't much info on this
Yes. Put a little Honda bond around the threads.
@@LHTPerformance Awesome, thanks John. Torque spec was 16ft-lbs for others around 14:55
Seems like if the perforated tube was made from the same material as the muffler body, it would still be fine. That stinks of bean counter cost cutting.
🤘😁🤙
That's our average summer temperatures in Scotland 😆. Wish we had the weather to justify buying a convertible 😩.
I used to go to Scotland with my Dad for a week fishing every year to Loc Goal. I know it not really known to be warm. Lol.
@@LHTPerformance yeah we have terrible weather for most of the year, the scenery and driving roads are great though 😁
Nice sound. More Quite than stock ?
The large resonator really makes a different and the smaller diameter tips take the deeper tone away.
do you sell the larger stainless resonator?
We don’t. Sorry.
John, you guys aren't seriously throwing away all your scrap metal are you? at our shop I would have a pile in the yard of rotors/exhaust/heads etc... that a scrapper would come by once a month and pick it all up, we usually collected between $80-$150 every month, same with take off decent tires about $60-$100 a month. Would cover some of your lunch money?
My first FX300 had the Exedy center section... the springs rattled and 2 or 3 of them were badly worn. I did notice the new one I replaced it with had a different center section and has been trouble free for quite a while.👍
John, No jump pack?
Nope. I still use my old school charger.
Im going on 21 yrs at 155k on my ap1 oem clutch. Time to replace it???
If it’s not showing problems, leave it until it needs it.
What manual are you guys using was looking to buy one and hope everyone is keeping well 🙂
We use the Honda official shop manual.
@@LHTPerformancethank you 🙂
Where can I buy one of those tips?
We’ll have them in out store very soon.
@@LHTPerformance awesome, let us know in your videos when you do have them. Would like to replace my invidia q300 tip with the same style you guys did.
Tell the guy to buy some freakin tires!
Remember them days when my yellow top battery died if I didnt drive for one day (was a new battery). Will never buy that brand again lol.
Why didn't you get it replaced under warranty? I agree the quality has gone down, but what hasn't? I have the red top in my daily and no issues. I keep the terminals very tight and very clean. It is AGM but I still put Vaseline on the terminals.
@@sheldonm3535 Tried to but the Advance Auto near me claimed because I bought it from a location 3 towns over they can't warranty it there. I was not going back to that town for a while so just took a loss.
I wouldnt have trashed those bends but i am starting to realize that my budget muffler has gone to crap.
I can’t sell them to a customer. After been super heated over the last 7 years too
@@LHTPerformance i mean if i had paid for the exhaust, and the muffling was gone easily couldve put knew canisters on those bends that already fit
Too bad the lifetime warranty from magnaflow doesn’t cover wear and tear.
The magna flow are not that good muffler systems
