I bought this unit about 6 months ago - AVOID - screen not bright enough in sunlight on dash - amplifier section sounds pretty bad - spent 500.00 on this, I won't call it a piece of $hit - but its so not worth 500.00 I should have purchased android auto from one of the major players - and by the way, I also installed it into a 2007 Tundra.
12 speakers????? I think the JBL 2007 had 10 total speakers... not 12
“Regardless of the interior setup, Toyota offered two different radio options in the CrewMax truck: an in-dash AM/FM/CD unit or the same radio with an in-dash 6-disc changer.
You could also choose between the standard 6-speaker system or an upgraded JBL system that features twelve speakers (including an 8" subwoofer) powered by a 440-watt amplifier.”

@@minter66 Yeah, mine like yours was the JBL Nav w/amp backup camera. It has 10 speakers. I have replaced the stock ones. 3/dash 4/front doors 2/back doors and 1 bass. I have the double cab, so my base is in a box on the floor under the fold down seats. I understand the Crew has one behind the backrest of the rear seat. I count 10. So I guess it was not compatable with the factory backup camera?
@@gary8653 I'm not sure about the factory cam. The SR5 TSS model I have didn't come with one equipped at the factory, I had to add my own camera. But I counted 12 this morning, I can only guess due to the extra interior room vs a double cab.
@@minter66 Where are the extra 2?
@@gary8653 I’m not sure where they are in relation to a DC, but I have three on the front dash under the windshield, two in each door and a sub mounted below the rear sliding window.
What is the link you the head unit
