I'm looking at one just now. Keep going back to the eonon q53 pro. I want something that will autoconnect to my phone, ideally have a memory which will go back to where the unit was when the car was switched off, have RDS, and ideally a couple of spare usb so I can add Dab and Tpms etc at a later date. And if possible fit right into a mk6 golf. What would you be going for if that was what you were looking for?
Awesome video!! Before I ask my question, let me just get the background explained quickly. I have a Volvo C30, it’s in the P1 group which includes the S40, V50 and C70. They all have the somewhat famous "waterfall" centre console. I am looking to install an Android head unit, but I'm new at this and trying to figure out what to get. I'm a mechanic, I'm confident that I can manage the physical installation. The biggest problem I'm facing is that I have automatic double climate control, and I need the temp settings to be displayed on the new head unit. All other information is either not nessesary to display (volume, fan speed), already on a different display (cruise control, door indicator), or is shown by little led indicator lights on the centre console (heated seats, automatic AC on/off, fan-blow direction etc.). I need an android head unit that can take input from the centre console control buttons and steeringwheel buttons for the menues and radio etc. I also want it to have its own sim, so that it can run (with internet) completely on its own. And it should be a crisp and quick 7" (double din). I mean, I have found a few options, but the only one that I know of that can display the climate control temp setting is the bluepower BLP-990 unit. However, this just overlays the old screen, which looks really (in my opinion), really bad. It kind of ruins the point of installing a new head unit. I also does not like how it is mounted, and I've read many mixed reviews on bluepower, mainly that their units are often faulty and their support/service is close to non existent. You seem to be an expert on the field, and additionally maybe someone viewing this video might be able to help. Thanks again for the video!
Another good video and full of information. I bought a Joying head unit and it was for a land cruiser 2012. The guy fitting it said the unit plugs were all wrong, emailed Joying and they asked for lots of pictures but they then sent me another box to sit on the main andriod unit and took it down to car audio fitter on friday and he is happy now. Was impressed that Joying support and help. They sent the extra unit at thier cost and have been really helpful. It is being fully fitted next week so I m hoping it is all going to work. The guy is dubious about the DAB radio USB stick but will give it a go. If it all works, I shall be sending Joying an email of thanks as they have been great trying to sort out and said if not happy they will refund me. Cant ask better than that.
Had my Joying headunit in my 2005 jazz for 6 months now and love it. People compliment how nice it looks and functional it is compared to their decade newer BMW's. You'll love it
An update, having paid a car audio guy £ 410 to fit the unit, nothing worked, the steering controls, DAB radio and GPS did not work, I was livid. Emailed Joying they said check the connections, so I pulled out the unit, found the fitter and connected it up all wrong. I put the wires as per Joyings instructions which fitted had, and hey presto it works, I just have to sort out the hazard flasher unit which needs changing not Joyings fault. All in all they are a good company and will not walk away from a problem, always happy to help. I am upset that the fitters work, but only problem that I still have is the DAB+ works but signal is poor. Anyone tried a splitter unit so it uses the ariel in the side wilndows of the back of the car ? I will say again Joying have been brilliant
I am impressed with your videos. This one is especially informative. I have been using an android unit for about 5 years now, and it only has 1gb of ram. Which is why I am working on upgrading. I must admit, the experience is crap without a lot of ram.
You Can Actually Change The DPI On Any Android Device (So You Could Set The DPI To A Lower Number) This Would Make Icons/Touch Areas Bigger & Ideal For Higher Res Screens. Without The Poor Low Resolution Scaling
Superb video. I was unlucky when I bought a Seicane Android head unit for my 2007 Accord. Right out of the box I had issues with the HVAC controls. As I read further many people were having issues with Chinese android HUs. That was a real downer in that the concept of a fully dash integrated Android head unit was great, but did not work for me. Thank you for pointing out trusted brands to consider.

Thanks for bringing clarity to this subject as I am in process of trying to upgrade the head unit on my 2011 Venza and couldn't decide if one of the main big makers versus an Android unit. I mainly use my radio for XM/iPod/MP3s on cd or usb drive with occasional maps! I also want o try to install things myself since after all this time I might as well try some DIY for last few years I have this car.
I Got the New Android 11 Unit from Eonon for my Mazda 3 BL and it´s a good one. it has even wireless Android Auto. Also works directly with the stock bose system.
I've had two joyings myself. First one had 2gb of ram and android 6. It was great but after about two years it got slow. But still worked fine. I wanted a bigger screen anyway so got one with 4gb and android 10. It was amazing. Very fast...great full hd screen. I alway recommend them. They work great. I'd steer clear of any 2gb models these days.
@@apmechanic7704 More RAM only helps if your applications need more RAM. If the apps you use do not need more memory, it is just extra cost. I only use my head unit for CarPlay, MP3, and Radio so 2GB has been fine for my use case.
@@ericl5973 there's slightly more to it. Background serviced run off the ram. In the earlier days 1gb was all you got and it would end up a crawl if you even attempted to run a dash cam and maps off it. 4gb is probably the safest bet. The 6gb version of the latest 512 processor remind me of drives from 2 to 3 years ago.
I bought a teyes cc2 3yrs ago. Its been great and is still great. The stock launcher and associated canbus functionality is great. Recently i just needed a different look so i installed car launcher and hey it feels like new.
I just installed a Chinese android head unit recently and originally planned to use apple carplay with it. I eventually realised after a few days that it's so boring, so switched to using all the native android apps by tethering from my iphone, it's nice to hear you mention this @13:50 !
Thanks for the video. I recently picked up a DASAITA I really like it. A bit of a learning curve and their support is abhorrent they try, but there’s usually two or three days in between them answering questions. I’ve also been struggling with call quality but overall it’s an amazing upgrade my car.
ive ordered 2 different chinese radios for 2 different cars a few months before your video, if it existed before. Y had saved me many days/hours that ive spend for my research (with the same conclusion/results) ;)
I recently bought an ATOTO F7 head unit. I love the features and being able to use CarPlay and Android Auto. However I was extremely disappointed with sound quality. It replaced my aging Pioneer DVD/MP3 player. The ATOTO claims a 4x45W power output but it barely powers even the OEM speakers. The Pioneer sounds light years better and I regret so much buying the ATOTO for this single reason. If you care about sound quality stay away from Chinese brands or consider an external amplifier.
@@billjohnson3284 improve the quality better , also check if your android monitor with build in DSP , some device build in dsp , sound quality is much better
I was also awfully disappointed in my ATOTO head unit because the Bluetooth wouldn't connect and the Wifi wouldn't re-associate with the access point without me manually connecting it. Also the sound seemed like absolute crap from the RCAs! (Coming from Kenwood Excelon head unit) I severely disliked how the ATOTO sounded. Not only this but also the ATOTO OVERHEATED all the time! When I run the warm air from the A/C, the head unit would freeze up and slow down because the processor was too hot! Never buy ATOTO again! More like ATOILET
I can echo this experience. I bought a VW android unit that came with a wiring harness was already wired, so I tested it with the built in amp first. It sounded slightly better than my old Sony unit, but it was a little noisy at all volume levels and added distortion at loud levels. The unit also heated up a lot after a short test at max clean levels. So I chopped the speaker outputs on the harness and wired a cheap tramps ts400x4 to the line outputs. I cramed it right behind the android unit since they are so shallow. The taramps is so much quieter at all volume levels, and much louder. It pushes my stock speakers right to their limits with a nice clean signal. Reminds me of Pioneer units back in the day.
For older BMWs the i-bus USB-dongle and app (made by a German company) gives full control over onboard computer, steering wheel buttons as well as new features like DRL, cornering lights, automatic locking, welcome lights etc. Works perfectly with most Android units. I use an Xtrons myself in an older BMW X5.
@@ThatGuy-ur5cn Yes, the Resler i-bus USB dongle talks directly with the computer bus of BMWs and MINIs (not all models though) and can access almost anything in the car. The controling app is the one that gives all the new cool features. It's really a "must" if you have an Android head unit in an older BMW.
If Pioneer added just $12 more processing power to their current flagship models, they'd be a decent buy but because they didn't, I consider them a total flop. The laggy interface, slow response to external button controls, deranged voice call and automated voice audio when using wireless apple carplay, impossible to change volume quickly, never resumes to the last screen you seen when your phone disconnects and reconnects/keyoff keyon, I could go on forever about how alpha their flagship stereos are right now and their customer service department could care less.
Would you happen to have a video on some of the tricks or changes in the software that can be made to improve it. Such as the microphone volume during a phonecall or screen brightness that doesn’t go low enough for night driving? I feel that the unit may have the ability to adjust these types of things, however it’s probably in a hidden area of the UI.
Had an Atoto A6 I paid about $250 for it. While not a total loss, it was pretty much unusable due to the MediaTek SoC (MT8127A) which was originally found in sub $50 tablets. The thing would overheat just downloading updates to the point it would stink up the car.
@@SaabUnleashed slow does't even begin to describe it. It was pretty much unusable for anything other than a radio and backup camera. As an android device, it had no use whatsoever. The sad part is many of the other components were of higher quality, not the best, but of much better quality, especially the display. But they skimped out on the most important component and tried to make up for it by overclocking it and adding a cheap pot metal heat sink to it.

Having both a Eunavi PX6 DSP and a Joying 10.25 single din, Both are very good headunits Eunavi PX6 is a good headunit that's just basic android, My joying 10.25 is a better headunit and just more expensive.
Hello, After watching your videos, I bought the Eonon head unit, running android px5. I am having trouble setting the canbus to work with a 2009 toyota tacoma. Could you do a video tutorial on how to set up the canbus for different types of vehicles? I appreciate your effort in putting out these videos and enjoy learning from them very much. Thanks
Thank god for this video. I've been tryign to figure this al out myself and it's making me feel really lame. I'll be watching all the rest of your vids, thanks !!!!
My biggest winge with Android HU (on my second) is they are only supported / updated for 12 months. After that you get no firmware or OS updates. Apps keep updating to works with newer OS, so tend to grind slower and slower on outdated system. At least this is my interpretation of what is going on. After 2 years it’s annoying and by 3 years it’s unusable (assuming you want realable-ish navigation. Oh and seriously how bad is YT music offline…
Okay, you answered a question for me. I bought an Atoto unit four years ago that didn't have Android Auto, and as I contemplated getting another Atoto for my newer car, I wondered what I'd been missing. Apparently nothing. I also prefer to have my phone mounted for Google Maps because I prefer the vertical display mounted higher on the dashboard while something entirely different is running on the head unit.
So, very pleased I have found your channel.... am learning so, much...thank you. I am in the process of trying to learn which head unit, Chinese or, better known brand will be best in my wonderful (but, old) Rover 75. You mentioned you fit head units...do you 'supply & fit' too?
Thanks very informative , I’m sold on a Chinese version - probably JOYING 10.1 android but I’d like to ask if there’s any taxes if you buy from either Chinese JOYINGAUTO or EU ? Plus for my transporter 2008 , it’s has a double din stereo at the moment , must I go for double din or to make it more compatible with my future vehicles should I buy a single din ?
I’ve seen some videos of yours, and just become a subscriber. Very good and clean information. As an e46 owner I’ve been reluctant to change my head unit… but now I’m going in for joying. And I’ll tell you, your videos were the input I need to make the decision. Thank you for your videos Cheers
I have no idea why your sub count is so low. Your videos are amazing and very informative. Hopefully we get the sub-count you deserve in the near future.
A huge plus for the major brands not mentioned is support. I am getting poor tech support from one of the “good” Android brands you mention and every communication takes a day or two due to time zones. Big brands have good support and usually have local support in your region
One question that has eluded me is which of these Android HU's allow me you summon Siri via the steering wheel voice button. I thought T'eyes did, then found that their FAQ explicitly mentioned that it does not. Could you please advise or make a video that maybe discusses some of foundational features, like mic performance, vehicle integration include all SWC buttons etc. Think that would be super valuable video. Thanks for making these videos!
Excellent video. Very well presented. We'd only add couple of points on the sound. Very few Android Head units including the branded ones use the flagship internal amp TDA7850. Most of them use knockoffs that don't produce true 50W sound. Pre-outs can be boosted with RCA line driver and with extra shielding can deliver great sound if optical us not an option.
What would you recommend for a double din 7inch? I will be using this in a 2000 camry. It would be cool to intergrate a front and rear dash camera too it So I could also use the rear as a back up camera. IS this possible?
@@ilikerealmaplesyrup Eonon us a good brand Android Radio. I've owned 2 of them. I only sold my last unit be a use it wouldn't fit in my 2020 Nissan Altima
Really insightful. I was wondering about some Head Units running Android as the OS vs supporting Android Auto - very clear now on what the difference is.
Thanks for the video. A lot of great information. I am trying to find a unit for my vehicle and am finding it quite a challenge to find a source of knowledge. I have a 2012 Mercedes R350 with optical Harmon Kardon. It seems the wiring harness is a bridge too far for most companies. Can you suggest, as you did in the video, a manufacturer that works with the CAN bus in this vehicle? Or one that integrates well? I would like a larger screen. I have seen 9" but would like something like the 11" that you put in your car. (Joying) Thanks for the assistance.
great explanation on the comparison of specs! I think another reason why those big brands do not want to have Android is because of the update supports. For example, i wouldn't think of "upgrading" the software if im using headunit like Pioneer, because they dont need to
every device connected to ethernet should be able to do updates. Otherwise your device always has some risks to use (malware and so on). The big difference to original OEM devices are, that these updates are most of the time free, while your on built device wants you to pay a fee for updates.
I bought an Android 10" HU for my Lancer, it worked great for about 6 years, I still think it was a bargain for the money, so much so I've gone to the same supplier and bought a new one just this week. The price has gone up but the new one have 4Gb RAM and 64Gb internal storage. 10" screen, free iGO maps, and apparently this new one works with Apple CarPlay.
I have two issues, not sure if you can help. 1. I've noticed some people have had issues with battery drain on Android units. Fixes have been posted on here but it concerns me it should happen at all. It seems to be a thing of Android units not switching completely off. 2. DAB USB units. Some have had issues with them failing or not giving a good reception. I don't really want to get a DAB unit installed and then find it fail a few months later. What's your experience? Finally, many thanks for your videos. Last week I knew zero about Android units, I've watched all your vids and you seem to be the main guy creating this. Certainly in the UK anyway. Without you, I'd have no idea, so cheers.
Decent head unit won't kill you battery. My car is left at various airports for weeks and I can always start it when I return to the UK. They sit on standby for a period of time to allow instant on, but don't drain battery. DAB, it's reliant on the antenna you're using and of course the area
Hi ,this was a very informative video thanks for the great content 👍 I'm looking for a android unit and reverse camera for a 2019 Toyota Vitz.I would like a more concealed reverse camera if possible do you have any recommendations ? Do you sell such a product ?
Excellent series of videos, have watched quite a few now. You have convinced me to buy and Android unit for my 2009 Alfa Romeo GT. Problem is there are so many versions none of which list an Alfa. Any help in choosing which T'Eyes system I need would be hugely appreciated.
This is the video I've been looking for. I bought an Chinese Android HU, Navitopia, and I regretted it. Your videos are great! Thanks. But do you have a top 10 Chinese Android HU? Thank you.
great video! Lately we have the newer intel based headunits like Joying and other FYT units which are labelled TS10. Some even claim to have QLED screens. Do you have any comments on the performance and mod community support on those? xda developers still have vast px5 px6 upgrades and mods. Hal9k and Malaysk come to mind. Please review those when you get a chance.
Hey did you find any info about these? I'm on the hunt for more info also. The QLED claim might just mean IPS screen or similar tho, and the intel soc is an interesting choice. Most brand don't really disclose all the infos :/
Thanks for the video and “big picture” info, haven’t found anything similar or as exhaustive. Great job! Now, I’m in EU and anything imported will be slapped with customs and vat. That’s ok, but often they put these fees also on the cost of shipping. Thus I’d like to find an EU based seller. Any of the mentioned brands will do, but so far I can’t find any… 🤔 And how does it work with returns and warranty?
Vat is always counted on product + shipping... even if you order from within the EU. You don't see it because vat is already counted in the shipping price, just as it is counted into the sticker price of the item... So, no need to wait for an EU distributor, as you'll pay for the vat on his product price, (shipping to him will be counted into his product pricing) and shipping to you...
Another big reason big brands don't switch to Android is because Google force them to never manufacture non-Android devices through their Play Services Terms.
Thanks for another excellent video, with lots of information and no waffle. I have been looking to change the radio in my VW Passat B7 for a while and had a couple of units from Amazon which I had to return as they didn't really deliver on the advertised spec. I never even got around to installation, but I think this video might just nudge me in the right direction. The B7 has two different antenna connectors, one DAB Fakra connector and one AM/FM. Are there any Android units with Fakra connectors or am I going to have to buy a suitable adaptor? Can the existing hands free mic be used and finally I like to look at an online manual for any bit of tech I buy. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. And thanks again for all of your videos.
Hello! I don't know if you're still looking for a head unit. I have a B7 Passat as well and currently have a Joying unit in my car. I haven't seen any HUs that have fakra connectors, so you have to get one. Most decent units specifically for VW will include an adaptor, although buying one is safe. The original mic cannot be used, but many HUs have built-in mic and often come with external mic.
Great videos matey, very good content, may I ask for little advise Ive got a 2017 Mercedes Vito W447 and want to upgrade the stereo, please recomend me one of the units you review it in your Chanel . All of them looks cool. My budget is £250 for the unit. Regards. 👍🤝

Excellent video, with the unbelievably cheap Android units the illumination being too bright at night seems a common issue, is it true there are software fixes for this?
Great review. I am looking at a Tesla style head unit for my 2015 Jaguar XF. Any opinions on the manufacturers that are out there for the "Tesla Style" Android head units?
Your series on Android head units is amazing. You are giving so much valuable information. Thank you so much. Can you explain TS5 TS7 TS10 processor or T5 processor. Also, make a video on upgrading software of these head units. Thanks.
Question, but first, what a great explanation. I had never really thought about this before. These units come with 4G service integrated. THat means I have to pay a carrier for cell connection on the unit. Is it possible to utilize my phone's cell connection, but still utilize the full featured Android interface? Am I essentially connecting the head unit to a hotspot? Can this be setup for a seamless experience? What about reading and responding to texts by voice? WHat about answering incoming calls and dialing our verbally? I want to get in my car and have it work without tinkering. Sorry, just so uninformed.
Hey Scott! 1. You can just connect the head unit to your phone's hotspot and it is seemless after the first time, proving the hotspot is switched on when you get in the car. This gives you the full experience. 2. You can make and recieve calls verbally via Bluetooth 3. To have your texts read alloud and to dictate messages, you will need to use Android Auto or Apple Carplay.
Thanks for that & also thanks for telling me about the Idoing brand. I watched your video. It seems to be a great unit also. I currently have a two din radio in my car . Im totally new to all this . I was going to go with the two din Joying 13.30 inch . Is there any disadvantage in going to a one din unit such as the Idoing 13.30 inch than a two din ? I thought this smaller one din Idoing head unit may give me some manouvering up & down to fit in the old radio dash cavity so the screen can sit nicer in front of my dash - ( not covering air con vents etc.) Do two din units have much or if any, manouverabilty up & down in the dash cavity ? Can you comment ?
Hi there- a nice channel with great content- Im looking to purchase a 13.30 inch head unit- I know there are quite a few brands out there that make this size unit- Are there a couple of brands that you could recommend that I could consider ?- I was thinking of purchasing a Joying but would be intetested in your comments - Cheers
Wow, excellent video. I keep asking myself about just building a custom unit - 7" 1024x600 IPS screen $50 raspberry pi4 4gb $55 dsp module $5-$10, 256gb SSD $40, case $25 = $180 for a completely upgradable in dash solution - want a fast CPU? simply swap boards, you get the idea
Definitely a neat idea for sure, but there's certainly more to it when it comes to FM Radio, video input for rear camera, controls for the DSP module, etc- if you're a programmer with lots of time on your hands, wonderful! If not, man, it's going to be a messy project. I used to assemble car media systems using Centrafuse and Roadrunner software based on PC installation and it was a total blast because the very well-done software solutions for typical car stereo use was already done. Centrafuse Auto for Raspberry Pi today would be an absolutely killer project.
Makes sense if you don't mind spending the time. OpenAuto Pro is like $30 which seems like one of the better softwares for a car pi. You can also get an optical out for $25-50 to attach to the pi. You are also going to need to step down the voltage to the PI which runs off lower than 12v.
Hi, Thank you for the informative video. Can you please make another comparative video based on the software, updates and features of the Chinese android head units?
Thanks for the video. Why the lack of Satellite radio in all the brands you recommended? No DAB here in the US... we use SiriusXM when we lose FM or have little choices.

Glad it was helpful!

Only 2 hours of video to discover Andriod auto vs built-in Google maps. Awesome video, very informative.
I Got the New Android 11 Unit from Eonon for my Mazda 3 BL and it´s a good one. it has even wireless Android Auto. Also works directly with the stock bose system.
Would be cool to see a comparison of the different specs/performance 2gb ram units vs 4gb ram vs 6b ram.
Let me help u out because I can see u need it. 2g
100% agree that he needs a spreadsheet comparison breakdown
Great video! Have you ever tried Junsun? I'm considering buying one for my Dacia Sandero
Like to hear it too
Just had my pumpkin head unit delivered. Fingers crossed it isn't too bad.
Better to add an amplifier device, since the sound ic cheap is not that good which compare with the oem device
@@ntaudios88 but will a aftermarket amp improve the quality or just make the poor quality louder?
This is very interesting information
Is this different functionality from a bluetooth OBD reader?
@@ThatGuy-ur5cn Yes, the Resler i-bus USB dongle talks directly with the computer bus of BMWs and MINIs (not all models though) and can access almost anything in the car. The controling app is the one that gives all the new cool features. It's really a "must" if you have an Android head unit in an older BMW.
I heard the audio isn’t good through the aux cables
Yes the original one was pretty slow
@@SaabUnleashed slow does't even begin to describe it. It was pretty much unusable for anything other than a radio and backup camera. As an android device, it had no use whatsoever. The sad part is many of the other components were of higher quality, not the best, but of much better quality, especially the display. But they skimped out on the most important component and tried to make up for it by overclocking it and adding a cheap pot metal heat sink to it.

Hello,
After watching your videos, I bought the Eonon head unit, running android px5.
I’ve seen some videos of yours, and just become a subscriber.
Very good and clean information.
As an e46 owner I’ve been reluctant to change my head unit… but now I’m going in for joying.
And I’ll tell you, your videos were the input I need to make the decision.

This guy is amazingly helpful! Great videos and he has personally helped me to install my unit!! Great knowledge! Keep the work going.
Thanks for fab clear and informative videos. Could you tell me How do i tell which android unit i currently have installed in my car
I have no idea why your sub count is so low. Your videos are amazing and very informative. Hopefully we get the sub-count you deserve in the near future.
Thanks for the Video, what’s your thoughts performance wise, on the Joying 9“ ? Cheers
Joying is amazing. I reviewed the 10 inch version recently, it's very similar
This was a really big help! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this vid.
Some great points there, thank you
What would you recommend for a double din 7inch? I will be using this in a 2000 camry. It would be cool to intergrate a front and rear dash camera too it So I could also use the rear as a back up camera. IS this possible?

Thanks for the video. A lot of great information. I am trying to find a unit for my vehicle and am finding it quite a challenge to find a source of knowledge. I have a 2012 Mercedes R350 with optical Harmon Kardon. It seems the wiring harness is a bridge too far for most companies. Can you suggest, as you did in the video, a manufacturer that works with the CAN bus in this vehicle? Or one that integrates well? I would like a larger screen. I have seen 9" but would like something like the 11" that you put in your car. (Joying) Thanks for the assistance.
In the same boat..could the OP provide it?
great explanation on the comparison of specs!
I think another reason why those big brands do not want to have Android is because of the update supports.
For example, i wouldn't think of "upgrading" the software if im using headunit like Pioneer, because they dont need to
Actually, all the major brand DDIN units have regular updates that should be done. At least once a year, sometimes more often.
every device connected to ethernet should be able to do updates.
Otherwise your device always has some risks to use (malware and so on).
The big difference to original OEM devices are, that these updates are most of the time free, while your on built device wants you to pay a fee for updates.
Great video. Good background well explained. Thanks!
What brand if you don't mind ?
What brand?
Brand name please.
Another great video, i am still a bit unsure what i should buy as yet though, thanks again!
Thanks for the video. I literally cancelled a chinese unit and bought a Pioneer headunit.

great video!
From what I've read, the QLED claim was likely false advertising.
In any case, the IPS screen they come with is quite good.
Any of the mentioned brands will do, but so far I can’t find any… 🤔
And how does it work with returns and warranty?
Vat is always counted on product + shipping... even if you order from within the EU.
You don't see it because vat is already counted in the shipping price, just as it is counted into the sticker price of the item...
So, no need to wait for an EU distributor, as you'll pay for the vat on his product price, (shipping to him will be counted into his product pricing) and shipping to you...
Hey man, great videos! How do you connect your head units at home? I’d like to try out mine before installing it in the car. Thanks.
12v DC adaptor with a minimum of 3amps
What head unit did you install on the B7? How do you find sound and phone call quality?

Awesome video, clear data and well explained. Thanks man!
2. You can make and recieve calls verbally via Bluetooth
I've had a number of Xtrons head units and do rate them highly.
The Pontiac Aztek is the greatest feat in automotive engineering history! Accept it.
Hello, i'm glad having meet your video tutorial like as having searching some descriptions about actualy questions i have, i got an unbranded chinese head unit a few weeks ago and after doing anything i think i could run flawasly, that's not, all there seems to be restrited due the mean of makers/ sellers did it, even not able to link to ADB, well what make to write to you after watching your video, is, i bought that one due the proper fitting to my work van, a Peugeot bipper, that's i would liked making there replacement for the factory sound device that don't work anymore, my question, is there as you could know some one device of these brands you do tell in the video, that can have that kind of head unit that can fit on to the Peugeot Bipper ?
Bought a NaviFly unit, for my mercedes ml, had nothing but problems with it. I'll fitting trim, canbus doesn't recognise accurately the settings and as I later found out doesn't recognise the reversing camera. On the plus side google maps works well and the display is excellent (2k) but unable to control audio and telephone with original mercedes control panel. 😢
Great video! Unfortunately most of the brand's in the video are hard to come by in EU. Xtron is available though. But I drive a Skoda Octavia 3, and the only HU xtron make for my car has only 2GB RAM and a Quad-Core processor. Do you think that it will suffice or do you have any other suggestions?
I am in Europe. All of the brands are easy to come by, ordered from China which is the only place they originate from.
Thanks. Any links ?
@@JMaimburg I've reviewed all of these head units, they have their own videos on my channel. You'll find links in the relevant video descriptions
Any insight on eonon head units?
Great video and explanation versus the name brand units. I just recently started buying Android units for my Ford. Unfortunately learned quickly about the cheap ones and have upgraded right away. Do you have any info on the Mekede 7862 9 inch 6g/128gb units? Just curious on your thoughts on this brand. Cheers!
Great info, thanks. I'm looking at a Joying UQ135N4G. What do you think of this unit? It's hard to find decent info on it, and having no luck finding the manual (so I can be sure my reversing camera will work!)
They're all compatible with reverse cameras by default, provided the cam has an RCA plug
I've had joyings and my backup camera worked perfectly, plugged it in. Job done. Joying are great 👍
Thanks for posting all these videos about Android head units, they have steered me down the right path in buying an Xtrons Android 12 head unit for my 2012 Focus. However, I have two small issues and have had nothing back from Xtrons tech support. The door open warnings are showing opposite, i.e. LHD, as are the air con settings for driver and passenger. And there is no password for the boot logo? Can you help? It would be most appreciated if you can.
Thanks for the great info on the units,
I am looking to purchase one for a 2018 Toyota Rav 4, right hand drive, where can I purchase one, I have been researching an upgrade from the stock unit fitted.
