I know this as this is the only proper campaign I've played past 20 turns in WH3. All I recruit in each army is a shit load of zombies, 1 or 2 mortis engines, 1 or 2 unholy lodestones, 1 of the yellow cart, and a necromancer. That will basically take on any army or faction, given you use the terrain to your advantage and fight in the trees where they have missile superiority. I've gotten herioc victories when AR gave me decisive defeats (granted, I'm a pleb and only play on N/N as I don't like the AI getting cheats and play for fun, not for a challenge really).
It works on Legendary regardless, the stat buffs the AI gets actually WEAKEN them, because the AI armies take more and more casualties with every battle due to staying in the fight longer (which in turn allows for more raising of zombies post-battle). The only issue is the autoresolve is shit, and the battles overall take longer, which turns the campaign into an excessive slog. You purchase one singular unit from any faction and this unit is used by the faction player as a separate general. It really adds a chaos factor to any battle where one unit is super micro the whole time during the fight.
Best strat for strong early game helman ghorst is to save all level up points from level 7 onwards then when you hit level 12 you can go and take all the important buffs all at once making your zombies incredible from level 12. Incidentally this is more or less when your zombie buffs from research also come in. After all that life is easy. Overlap mortis engines and unholy loadstone heals from corpse carts or necromancer mounts (helman ghorst counts as unholy lodestone despite having the damage of a mortis engine. So put a mortis engine with him to double heals) 4-6 stacks of crypt horrors with their regen too and your army is unkillable against almost every army.
With mods this only gets more insane! Not only do i have normal ghorst buffs (albeit weaker because of sfo) but i also have a version of the orc scrap mechanic that lets me uber upgrade my zombies, with a second regen, 25% speed bonus, extra leadership and ward save. I also have a different mod that specifically buffs ghorst's own army with new talents, such as giving all zombies in his own army horrible regeneration (regen that resurrects lost entities). All in all, i have zombies moving at about 50ish move speed, and dont even have the 200% speed buff from the new research that SFO adds. Oh, and i also uncapped regen, and trust me, i now understand why they have regen caps normally
So basically this is World War Z but with Warhammer Fantasy. Don't underestimate the power of constantly bringing the dead back to life over and over again.

You know this is gonna be a good video, when you got more casualties than the shaven
Every time Greases shows up : HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO TEACH YOU THIS LESSON OLD MAN !?
It's not quality that kills, quantity does.
And quantity has a quality of it's own anyway.
The strategy in this vid is awe inspiring. Truly inspirational
when you see thease 'chalange' videos go out, you know the enemys are in for a bad time
Because of this video, I remember about the night king and the army of the dead and the battle of winter fell
When you bring an ARPG Necromancer build to a strategy game.
My man is doing the zombie apocalypse.
Tee hee, looks like we are about to commit some war crimes again…
So basically this is World War Z but with Warhammer Fantasy. Don't underestimate the power of constantly bringing the dead back to life over and over again.
