15 year old Brian got to drive us to a place he had always wanted to see in the car he had always wanted to own. Perfect! Thanks for bringing us along, it was quite spectacular.
The “Dan digs” are hysterical 😂 The opulence of Fountainbleu is breathtaking! The paintings and gold plating add to it. Thank you for showing us this amazing place 🙏 What with the teenage Brian’s car purchase and his visit to Fountainbleu , he is fulfilling his ambitions this week!!!
Dan is knocking down the only remaining good ceiling today - and, Brian, you *had* to show him one totally gilded, didn't you? Don't come complaining when you're on your back on scaffolding like Michelangelo. You'll know where he got the idea. 🤣🤣 Thank you for taking us to Fontainebleau!!! It is totally amazing, and stunningly beautiful. Worth the detour! I love seeing magnificent palaces. But, in the back of my mind, I wonder how long it takes to clean them...
There's a photo canvas shop online that will take your photos and turn you royal. They replace your body with royal outfits from differentcountries. You could take a photo of Dan . Would make a great gift for Dan's Chateau to get him started with his Kingly collection..😂
Thank you for taking us along on your holiday Brian. I am enjoying it immensely, vicariously. The Chateau de Fontainebleau is spectacular, it rivals Versailles in opulence.
WOW! What a masterpiece of design and architecture, plus the history behind this historical place. Thank you for taking us along for the ride. You are the BEST. ❤❤❤
Interesting story with your child-hood connection to Fontainebleau. I lived there for a few years, wonderful place. Yes, the palaces were opulent, but I tend to look at it as a sum of many people's skills. Think of all the craftsmanship that went into every aspect of that château. And THAT's what's outlived all the royalty, etc. Another neat thing about that château is that it's probably the most fully furnished of the royal châteaus. I used to love walking around the gardens at all seasons.
Loved the trip. Thank good the chateau didn't had a souvenir shop. There wasn't enough room in the car for those big things and the 48 of us Still love the car that teenage Brian bought.
Ah, Brian darlin, you do make me laugh! The second I saw the globe, I wondered if you were wondering about a drinks cabinet....and then you confirmed it! 😄 Thank you for a great outing. P.S. I feel the same about the French Revolution.
Brian, WOW! Some amazing place. This was fabulous! Loved the music and your video-y style. I also loved that it wasn't overrun with tourists. Such a lovely memory you've given yourself and by extension, us. Cheers
I love what teenage Brian is up to lately ❤ I think i prefer Vicking Nick way more than Napoleon Nick 😊 And yip, I reckon Dan would love one of those huge paintings in his staircase 😂 Enjoy the rest of the trip, and thanks for taking us along 😀
Your story about Fountain Bleu took my mind back to the early 90's, when I went rock climbing there. Or rather it was climbing on the sides of big rocks. Brian, that was almost the hundredth good morning today. Congratulations on that. Well done! You've gathered quite a tribe of followers. Winter regards from Finland to all! 🇫🇮🤗
I think this is the best video you have done. I loved the commentary, the camera work, and the music! They were probably so happy when the dog found the water. In those days, that was no small thing. I like to imagine what the people would have been like in those times. Thank you for another great adventure. 🧡
That is quite the 'chateau'. More like a grand palace. Very beautiful and well maintained with a rich history! Thank you for the small tour! Definitely need a portrait of Dan made up lol
Was reading this morning about the fierce rivalry between Fontainebleau’s builder, Francois 1, and England’s Henry VIII. They participated in jousts and other feats of arms, but Fountainebleau was celebrated in such a way that Henry built Hampton Court and its gardens to answer the challenge. Thank you for the timely tour! Love being in the fast car with about 40 some others…cozy! And always fun.
Fontainebleau is fabulous. The gardens are quite beautiful as well. There were very few people when we visited as well during October. It had also been raining. Vaux Vicomte near Melun is another amazing visit 'when' you get the chance.
Brian if you are still in Fontainebleau please please go to a tiny artist’s village outside fontainbleau called “Barbizon” I think you would really like it and it’s close to Fontainebleau forest with its boulders!
Thanks for the tour, I have to say the 15 yr old Brian hair style to match was awesome. 😂. I think you and nick should dress up fancy and get life-size photos for dan.
Very nice video of the Chateau Fontainebleau, the music very appropriately chosen. Your recordings are getting better and better, you are almost a professional, look at your subscribers, it will soon be 50000, congratulations Brian😉Napoleon's coat would really have been something for Nick👍
Most excellent choice of Moosic today. I see you had Dan in mind for some chateau ideas. Lovely lovely Vlog today How are we all celebrating 100 together?? I think we could launch a Brian Bobble Hat for us all and we could collect them annually. I love your life Brian 🎉❤
Thanks for taking me along. I can see why 15 year old Brian wanted to go there, but it was and could still be a very pricy place to visit. That chateau is so opulent. It is just a very beautifully constructed building and all of the ornate paintings and gold leaf is really incredible. The upkeep back in the day, and today must be enormous. Yes you can see why the revolution happened, the Royalty back then were just so out of touch with every one, and you could imagine the carriages and horses arriving with the attire they’d wear back in those days, quite a striking place of French history. Thanks for the tour and the history lesson. 👍👍
I saw a movie yesterday. The Juggler with Kirk Douglas as the juggler. He told a joke that reminded me of you. Did you hear the story about the two holes? Well, well
Loved this vlog! You are an excellent tour guide and that little bit of history about the town being named for a dog was one of those little bits of info that I will tuck away in the back of my head and bring out to astound people who love trivia. The pictures of the chateau were absolutely amazing. I wonder how much gold is in all that gilding. It's no wonder there was a revolution.
1hr since vlog posted & over 1.1k 👍🏻....great tour of a lovely place some of us followers wouldn't be able to see if not for Brian going on his excursion...Thank you so much.... Hello 👋🏻 from Alhambra Southern California 🌴
I hear what you are saying Brian about the excess of the French. As much as I love, and watch, all of the château shows -I think of the excess of the previous owners and the expense of other people‘s lives to maintain those homes for their comfort .
OMG all this magnificent elegance and the people outside barely got by. Thus they had a revolution! We have to admit it was beautiful! Thanks for taking us along to a 15 year olds fond memory!
So we are traveling to Fontainebleau, Paris today!🎉🎊🍀The Architecture in France is always amazing. Your stories about your teens years in Ireland are always lovely to hear about. You are a natural vlogger.❤
Just love your little trips around France, thank you for taking us with you. OMG! That Chateau must have taken a whole village of servants to run it, it is HUGE and very opulent xx
you crack me up...thanks for some laughs and all your touring adventures in France. I just love France, my bucket list to go see now. Look what ye gone and done, lol.
Your vlogs when doing a semi-guided tour or explaining about a location are really informative, relaxed, fun and thoroughly engaging. Like going around the place with a mate. Top job Brian. (I can see a large oil painting of Nick hanging on the chateau wall overlooking the grounds 😂).
Omg that place is extraordinary! Wow all the painting on the ceiling and just plain gold everywhere. I could live in that ha ha. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did so thank you Brian ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😎
Did you know that after Waterloo the winner took with him a most of Napoleon’s personal belongings and decorations from the apartment in Paris. Can be seen in Nelson’s then newly bought home in London, now a museum. First thing you meet is a bust of a naked Napoleon inside the entrance, every plate comes from the wedding set of Napoleon’s wife with monograms on them, etc. Apparently he did not have much to decorate the house before as he was mostly occupied in the army.
It must be a real treat to drive your new car on these trips ,particularly if you do not the autoroutes ,driving through little towns and villages .We visited Fountain bleu las summer .A really wonderful chateau to visit.
You filming and music are so good, you have come a long way since that self conscious man talking to himself in a pub garden lol .i am enjoying our coffee times ,taking me to some posh places lol🤗
Thank You for taking the tour. I have been wanting to go see the chateau for the last couple of years. I loved the crowds that seem to be missing. Love your vlogs!!!
Thanks so much for the visit to Fontainebleau! It is over-the-top architecture but beautiful! And your musical choices were perfect too! Greetings from rainy Oklahoma, USA!
It's a classified monument,it's the government property, they are responsible to entertain it, cleaning is easy, just like any government property, our taxes pays to keep it clean, restore it is different, they use the income of tourists visiting to keep what is open to the public impeccable, but most of it is still closed because they need fund to restore it completely. What is mostly open to the public is the Kings apartments and their wives, the Kings always traveled with their court, and each person invited by the king was in charge of their own apartment which was costly, they often travelled with their belongings and that's why most of the château is actually empty.
What an incredibly beautiful place Fontainebleau Chateau, a place I’d never heard of - although we have a suburb here in Johannesburg called Fontainebleau!! Loved your music choices, as usual wonderful. Really superb vlog, thank you Brian. 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
I hear what you’re saying about the opulence and inequalities that led to the French Revolution. Sadly, here in the USA we have an ever-growing gap between the very wealthy and the rest of the population. Greed is rampant and getting worse. I watch your vlog (and Dan’s) to feel some relief from the news. Thank you for taking us along on your treks!
Fabulous road trip & amazing chateau. The ceilings!! I must say, the thought of driving inside Paris gives me the heebie jeebies! When visiting a few years ago I was amazed how all the cars seemed to easily drive around, come in & go out around the Arc de Triomphe without crashing into each other. It was like watching Dodgems (some of your younger viewers may mot know what Dodgems were). Lots of fun. Thanks
15 year old Brian got to drive us to a place he had always wanted to see in the car he had always wanted to own. Perfect! Thanks for bringing us along, it was quite spectacular.
Your choice of music in all your Vlogs is first-class.
I imagine you could get a large poster made of Dan wearing a neck ruffle and satin brocade clothes framed to hang on his salon wall. LOL😂
Yes, yes! 😂
Brilliant
And with a picture of Nick next to it wearing Napoleon’s clothes 😂
Yes, that is a wonderful idea! He could be holding a golden noggin in his hand!😂
Oh.... please do😘
The “Dan digs” are hysterical 😂 The opulence of Fountainbleu is breathtaking! The paintings and gold plating add to it. Thank you for showing us this amazing place 🙏 What with the teenage Brian’s car purchase and his visit to Fountainbleu , he is fulfilling his ambitions this week!!!
I am so glad you didn't get your permit to enter Paris as the trip to Fountainbleu was much more interesting (for me, that is). Thank you!
When you say "let's go get a coffee" I pause the video and go make myself a coffee so I can sit and have coffee with you ☕️😊
@@ninamaste Good idea. I might start doing that too. ☕️
Cute idea!
There's a photo canvas shop online that will take your photos and turn you royal. They replace your body with royal outfits from differentcountries. You could take a photo of Dan . Would make a great gift for Dan's Chateau to get him started with his Kingly collection..😂
Thank you for taking us along to see such a beautiful chateau.
Thank you for taking us along on your holiday Brian. I am enjoying it immensely, vicariously. The Chateau de Fontainebleau is spectacular, it rivals Versailles in opulence.
Brian you can tell a good story you have the gift of the gab long may you continue
WOW! What a masterpiece of design and architecture, plus the history behind this historical place.
Thank you for taking us along for the ride. You are the BEST. ❤❤❤
yes, yes Dan is going to want a full length painting of himself in regal regalia in his chateau. You're quite right there lol
Interesting story with your child-hood connection to Fontainebleau. I lived there for a few years, wonderful place. I love that 15 year old Brian is going to his Mecca, driving his ideal car, living the life.well done you 😊
Thenks so much Brian for being the down to earth adventurous and fun loving soul that you are. Fun to tag along with you. ❤
Absolutely stunning architecture. Thank you 15 year old Brian for today's road trip! Looking forward to many more😀
Loved the trip.
Thank good the chateau didn't had a souvenir shop. There wasn't enough room in the car for those big things and the 48 of us
Still love the car that teenage Brian bought.
Brian, you are just such a lovely, lovely man and I could listen to you for hours. 😊😊😊
Ah, Brian darlin, you do make me laugh! The second I saw the globe, I wondered if you were wondering about a drinks cabinet....and then you confirmed it! 😄 Thank you for a great outing. P.S. I feel the same about the French Revolution.
Teenage Brian is doing well for himself lately! 😂
“Dan is going to want one of these.” That really made me laugh.
Me too! (But I secretly think dogs playing poker on velvet may be more appropriate for Dan😂) and it would be hilarious.
Most definitely. @@lollygee172
Brian, WOW! Some amazing place. This was fabulous! Loved the music and your video-y style.
I also loved that it wasn't overrun with tourists.
Such a lovely memory you've given yourself and by extension, us.
Cheers
It's Winter & wet perfect for visiting palaces, galleries etc. We travel in autumn & early winter in EU to avoid the other tourists
Yay! Road trip with 15 year old Brian 🎉 🥰
Stunning chateau 👏👏🏴🇬🇧
Brian, I knew that's what you were thinking when you saw that large globe!
I was thinking the same....
I love what teenage Brian is up to lately ❤
I think i prefer Vicking Nick way more than Napoleon Nick 😊

What a nice stop... the chateau Fontainbleu is amazing! Some inspiration for Dan...
Omg how did 15 yo Brian snag a private tour of that place? There’s not another person in sight. How very beautiful and over the top is that place.
I think this is the best video you have done. I loved the commentary, the camera work, and the music! They were probably so happy when the dog found the water. In those days, that was no small thing. The bouldering would probably be in the forest of Fontainebleau, lovely place!
One of the best you have done Brian. Music so matched the filming first class. Thank for taking me and the other 47 with you lol 😂

I'd say the lack of the proper sticker for your car worked out for the best! Fontainebleau looks amazing- glad you were able to get there and explore!
Teenage Brian is living his best life!
Thanks for sharing your story. Thanks for the sharing that beautiful château and glad you got there🙂
Brian, this was spectacular! Absolutely love the old architecture and the history around them. Can't wait for tomorrow's vlog!!
How wonderful for 15 year old Brian to have a kind and thoughtful adult Brian around.
From an American viewer, thank you for showing all the places you visit.. I personally would never get to see nor visit..
Another great vlog Brian. Your stories keep me smiling. The chateau tour is perfect and of course the music you choose is spot on every time.

Ok wow that place is definitely opulent 😮 a bit much for me too 😅
Thank you for taking me, the architecture is wonderful and the car was so comfy 😂
Plenty of inspiration for Dan!

If Dan wants a portrait, just ask for all of you to be in it. Cruising with CJ the Merc..... lovely.
Wow, such history and Architecture. Thankyou for inspiring.
I'm an Australian, and I've been to that town (I'm not sure how to spell it) it's really lovely. Stayed a few days.

Hi again great music in the vlog, young Brian has a great car sense.
Jaw dropping and, as you say very opulent. Thank you for the tour Brian, I very much appreciate the time you take to make the wonderful Vlogs.
Oh the architecture ❤ I’m so glad you walked and filmed. Beautiful
Thank you, I enjoyed this lovely trip!

Another great video. Tour was great, and loved the ginormous drinks cabinet globe, and Nick's new dress up outfit. 😂 sneaking up on vlog 100! 🎉
Wow what a fabulous place...❤
Beautiful, I went there as part of a school trip when I was 15, then onto Paris.💕
Oh lord! Now I have to go make a cup of coffee! I do enjoy a sit down spot with a good cup of coffee.
