This is a funny video. When I went to AliExpress, they show the GPU-Z for the card and it is almost Identical to the MSI RX 570 ARMOR 8G OC 8GB that I have in my old pc. You can currently buy an 8gb RX 570 for around $140 to $150. So, the Yeston card is about a $50 premium for the just for the style. I would buy this in a heart beat if it was on anything newer nvidia. Hahaha. It's awesome! V2.0 should have a nyaaan cat edition and a screen on it lol. Shit the box quality looks better than my EVGA recent buy.
If I were to travel back in time I'd take these with me, go to when the 580 first came out and start selling them just so I could watch the actual manufacturers realize that people want weird wacky yet functional cards. Then come to the changed future where Wang Wang was the start of a revolution in weird graphics card designs.
I've seen this card on AliExpress several times, interesting that this is better than most "premium" cards on the market. Would be a good card to make a pc for the GF. If one had one that is.
Thanks for the hilarious and informative video! I remember years ago Asus made some video card cooler designs that looked like F1 Race Cars. It would be nice to see gpu vendors come up with more interesting cooler designs instead of the usual bricks.
If only, I wanted to gift my father with a mechanical keyboard (he works with typing all day and never used one), but literally not a single one exists in my country that isn't horribly "gamer" and barfing with LEDs and that doesn't cost a fortune. It’s funny that you guys actually looked at this card after I looked all over UA-cam for reviews on Yeston cards after stumbling upon this card on ebay while looking for a Red Devil 580. Awesome of you guys to look at this card and you’re right in pointing out that it would be nice to see some difference in style of cards. You would need whatever the Chinese version of weaboo is. China and Japan don't exactly have the best of relations :)
@@BillyONeal there is weebs in china I'm sure of it
Oh sure. They aren't designers of this lol
I can confirm that this graphics card is named "meow-meow" as cat meows and the paired pc case they released is named "wang-wang" as dog barks.
that's true
Steve is having improvements in speaking Chinese.
I can understand what he says instantly.
Sero3 yeah but I wouldn't pronounce 'hen' as 'han'...
Did not pronounce it as han...
Gamers Nexus it's ok Steve, must be the speakers of my old ipad 2 then hehe
Yes, as much as it doesnt suit me being an older guy, I love this!
I need this. Been complaining about how dumb GPUs look, and this is what I need.
"... and that's how the next decade lead to interchangeable faceplates for vertical video cards. "
That would be so much better I miss the old shrouds and RGB puke isnt a good replacement
Imagine a future where GPUs are also rated by their story and plot that they bring.
But, I can see it would be good for a 8 or 10 year old girl's dream build... again loved the video, it is always good to keep things fun and interesting.
i can see young children (specially girls) loving this gpu for thier 1st build, if thye are old enough for you to give them one.
I'm a 25-year-old man, and I certainly prefer this gpu over models that resemble crashed spaceships.
I can tell you that more adult men would buy it than young children
@@binal3d570 and the brony fandom proves that as a fact
@@binal3d570 definitely!

"In fact, there are other ways to design video card shrouds, without making the cooling Garbage."
*XFX has left the Chat.*
I would buy this in a heart beat if it was on anything newer nvidia. Hahaha. It's awesome! V2.0 should have a nyaaan cat edition and a screen on it lol. Shit the box quality looks better than my EVGA recent buy.
I've seen this GPU on shopee. I almost bought it. Hahaha. Now I'm gonna buy it. Better than Thicc
i've never seen steve smile so much in a video. it's contagious. he genuinely enjoyed making this video. weebs unite!
It was a very fun video to make. We needed something less serious.
If I were to travel back in time I'd take these with me, go to when the 580 first came out and start selling them just so I could watch the actual manufacturers realize that people want weird wacky yet functional cards. Then come to the changed future where Wang Wang was the start of a revolution in weird graphics card designs.
The question is will more animal designs be available soon. I’m looking for a gator 🐊
yeston said they gonna have a entire animal line up
i'd grab one even if it is a blower design. Form over function, lol
What about a Panda bear? I'd really like a cute panda bear model.
Loved how you showcased the CUTE PET with the kitties. I’ll purr-chase one with no regrets.
Someone really needs to lock down that Sanrio contract. I'd gladly replace my 1070Ti if I could get a ridiculous Hello Kitty card.
I will buy another rtx 2080 ti for more money, if it was hello kitty. You can convince me to pay almost all markup for "cute".
I would downgrade my 1080 for a Hello Kitty video card.
Snowflake does a really good job at making me want this card despite being the owner of a nitro+ 580
I've seen this card on AliExpress several times, interesting that this is better than most "premium" cards on the market.
Would be a good card to make a pc for the GF. If one had one that is.
I am surprised you didn't mention the RX570, which is what this card really is !!!
Gamers Nexus + cats?!?! Are you trying to break the internet?
It's already broken, because Snowball broke it.
So in translation, the savings code for Gamers Nexus store is "SAVE WOOF WOOF" which kinda sounds even funnier. 🤭😆🤣
To bad is only a 2048sp. can't wait to see what yeston does with navi cards!
Thanks for the hilarious and informative video! I remember years ago Asus made some video card cooler designs that looked like F1 Race Cars. It would be nice to see gpu vendors come up with more interesting cooler designs instead of the usual bricks.
That whole "gamer" look is horrible, I can't wait for it to be over.
If only, I wanted to gift my father with a mechanical keyboard (he works with typing all day and never used one), but literally not a single one exists in my country that isn't horribly "gamer" and barfing with LEDs and that doesn't cost a fortune. Brands are too high on 1% bath salts to care about interesting design.
The new 5700 cards like the asrock challenger isnt super gamery. It looks more like a race car gpu
@@ironoverheat465 cooler master if you guys have them, has some decent keyboards that looks normal
Iron Overheat fnaticgear is low cost and minimalistic. If you want to get rid of LEDs altogether then buy ducky or some other typist brands
My girl said she liked the card, and she normally wouldn't give 2 shits.
I wish I could justify buying this card, that cooler design is incredible.
_Linus Sebastian has entered the chat room._
I actualy just ordered one. I need this for my collection.
Is it weird this makes me want to be a parent even more? Like imagine having a ~9 yr old daughter open a christmas box and this is in the computer on display, maybe play some minecraft with them after. It's not just me right?
Yeah it's just you
Nah it's not just you fam
PC gaming will be dead by then

@@Tr6sher Because that would mean I'd need to find a partner first
It’s funny that you guys actually looked at this card after I looked all over UA-cam for reviews on Yeston cards after stumbling upon this card on ebay while looking for a Red Devil 580. Awesome of you guys to look at this card and you’re right in pointing out that it would be nice to see some difference in style of cards. Even with rgb lighting most cards are still very aggressive and gamery looking. When I saw this card I instantly thought about someone trying to build a DVa style build, and the Japanese clouds would look great in a minimalistic style system. Hopefully something like this starts to make its way stateside.
It reminds me of first 3dfx cards with cool stickers of anime girls, dragons, robots and demons. Hope it would come back one day
I have a "Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming 8G" and I am satisfied with its performance, but it's nice to see a different design with more cheerful colors. Good video.
I'm not just gamer by lifestyle, I'm gamer by theme
Can we just appreciate how GOOD the box looks?
I would legitimately do a full on "cute build" providing the thermals and performance were adequate.
I wonder if this thing would fit into the pink SilverStone SG13...
@@L-in-oleum www.atxcases.com/Cases/images/100/kitty/kitty-02.jpg
I think Wang Wang just metaphorically knocked the THICC off the countertop
XFX Yeston collab, THICC WANG WANG Edition.
I'm tired of all the RGB and bling but this cute thing is okay.
I think we can all agree that RGB is eye vomit.
Review the Yeston case that is designed for this card.
I’m interested in either you, Linus or another big tech channel 3D printing your own shroud and showing how to make it and how effective it is
The shroud is mostly for aesthetics so it wouldn't really have a performance impact (unless it restricted airflow somehow).
They really need to do things like this more, Both GN and the companies making the computer parts. This would be perfect as the focal point of a "Cutesy Animal" build.
I love it! :D It's so outrageous it's awesome. That and a unicorn case would be a dream lol
omg and a panda cpu cooler
@@covalite I like how you're thinking :D
There is a pink pet-themed open air case that matches its styling, I believe it’s sold as a complete built.
Saw this card on Ali a couple months ago wondered how it performed. Thanks GN.
It wouldn't fit in my system at all but I appreciate the style of this card.
My daughter would love that in her build. Hopefully they start giving more personality to cards, esp. ones people want to display.
