Honestly it would make the most sense. That he just died without being the action of Daemon or Rhaenyra. I hope that is what happens. Cause otherwise it makes no sense that someone is able to claim Seasmoke if Laenor is alive.
I can't get over Vaemond' s line in ep8 " What do you know of Velaryon blood, princess? I could cut my veins and show it to you and you still wouldn't recognize it " Do these writers know anything about the house they writing a story for? How can Rhaenyra not know anything about Velaryon blood when she has it in her veins? through her great-grandfather's mom or even through the conqueror's blood smfh
I took that scene being more as Vaemond was unhinged and just shouting nonsensical things. He even doubled down on it all after learning that Jace and Luke would marry Baela and Rhaena. I couldn't stand his character. It was miscast, over the top and ridiculous.
Another thing is that he named five characters he wants to spend more time with but they're only doing 8 episodes instead of 10 which doesn't give them much time to flesh them out.
With all the upgraded wigs and costumes, new sets and the Rooks Rest battle they’re kinda limited on budget. I’m guessing they pulled the extra budget from those two missing episodes.
I think with very tight writing they could expand on those characters in 8 episodes. Jace should be taken care of with his trip to Winterfell and the roles of both Aemond and Helaena will be critical in Season 2, so they should be fine. I'd also like scenes between the two of them. I think expanding on Rhaena and Baela will be a bit more challenging. So while overall it'll be difficult in 8 episodes, I don't think it's impossible.
Wrong and ignorant comment. Yes they are exactly doing that, spending time with these characters. The second season won't go that much forward in the story. Gullet is S3. So yes they're going to spend time with those characters.
It would be a shame if they went through the faking of Laenor's death only to have him die offscreen, and then have someone else claim his dragon.

We are 3 episodes in and no Sunfyre....I read Condal gave Syrax the gold color. Also Condal seems to be Team Black.
The Sunfyre omission is inexcusable, particularly now that we're just going to jump into the Battle of Rook's Rest.
