Take the current price and add $1-3K is my best guess.
@@revmatchtv thanks for the tip!
@@revmatchtv 10-13k at least.
The starting price for the new gen tundra was about $2,275 more than the older gen. I would imagine it’s going to be similar for the new Tacoma.
Probably 50k
Chevy is going to charge $500 to tune the 2024 Colorado 4cly. turbo engine. So it's cheaper to go that route. Toyota will probably charge you $1000! None of them care about the customers anymore!
I don’t think Toyota has ever offered tuning. The base engine has some missing and different hardware because the engine produces less heat. There’s no oil cooler for example to save cost. If you want the extra juice, I’d imagine you’ll have to move to a different trim
So the sr and sr5 will reach 300k miles and the other hybrids won’t
I honestly think that’s really generous. I have little faith in these trucks for reliability, I think they’ll start falling apart soon enough
That oversized computer screen overwhelms the dash--a deal breaker for me. Crikey! It’s a damn truck, and I didn’t hear any info on size of the bed. Maybe I missed it, but c’mon people.
Don't need those seats? Gimmicky $$$
They should have just offered real suspension seats as an option for hardcore off-roaders.
Dose trail hunter come with 6sp and 6ft bed?
Terrible mpg for such a small truck, and the prices are ridiculous
Too many lines. Too many logos. Too many interior textures. To me, it looks like it's made of LEGOs and they were trying to make it as ugly as possible. And if I dare - too many features. To me, a soft-closing liftgate on a TRUCK is WHY-tech, and not high-tech. I dearly hope my 2nd gen goes another 300K because this one is also too many $$$$$$$$$$$$$
U look so much like the hawk from avengers
All these Tacoma videos are like infomercials read from a Toyota script. Must have been part of the deal to go to the “viewing” launch.
All we had was 90 minutes to spend with 4 vehicles as we chose and access to engineers. No drive opportunity as the vehicles they had are prototypes. It was difficult to do a video under those circumstances. It's hard to evaluate a vehicle when you can't drive it.
It's always like that. They release enough info to get you interested and then nothing for another 6 months. Most of the upper trims I believe won't be available till beginning of next year. We'll have plenty of time to decide.
Toyota is doing a good job at selling me on the maverick 😣
There will be drive reviews coming out on Nov 28
I think we enthusiasts are cursed ...we never get to enjoy anything to its fullest ... From an engineering persctive ..this is better than the ongoing gen in many ways ... But tell me you would have preferred a more juicer V6 even a lower state tuned turbo v6 could have been better
As we move toward 2030, manufacturers have to provide vehicles that meet ever stricter efficiency and emission standards. These engine changes are not exactly driven solely by consumer demand... That said, the amount of torque a mild hybrid can make is pretty impressive.
@@revmatchtv you are right .... But I think these forced induction downsized engines are contrary to Toyota's reputation or image ...coz they put beefier overnight engines and less power ...that's how they last ...
I used a Prado back in India/Australia that came.with a 2.8 4 cyk diesel that hardly had 200 hp but a healthy 500 nm ...those things last for a long....
If you don't want upto 465lb-ft of torque, but have a cult obsession with 2 extra cylinders for no reason, this truck isn't for you.
No.more v6 ?? 😮
Why do they put this stoopid e-brake?
Your guessed price is very low when compare to my prices. 🤣🤣
It gets confusing with so many trims.
I think I can make a clearer video with more time. This one was pretty quick
Made in Mexico?
Yep
HUGE F U to all the techies who insist having a TV in every possible location at all times forcing me to have that stupid looking screen on my dash. SMH.
Once you've had it for a while, you might like.
@@dhh488 Nope, I prefer to see the road at night.
@@petebusch9069 You can set the screen to adjust to ambient light. If you don't want it on at all, just press the settings button and slide the display switch to the left. That turns the screen off completely.
I used to like this truck. Why get a truck with a 4 cylinder!?!
dropping the v6 makes this truck no longer and option for me.
I own a 2021 V6 and it was an absolute turd until I threw a Magnuson supercharger at it. The 2GR is a great motor but a terrible truck motor. The new hybrids are going to have gobs of electrically assisted torque (more than my S/C V6) right off idle - where you need it in a truck. Kinda wish I'd waited a few years before pulling the trigger on a new Taco. I could have basically bought the truck I've built for the same price and not have voided my warranty lol.
a lot of garbage on the 2024 that nobody asked for..@@Fishsticks360
What ? No PHEV torque ? Toyota missed a chance to stand out from their competitors.
I'd imagine they will roll out a plug-in version over its life cycle
I agree. Just like what Toyota did with the RAV4.
No V6, thanks but no thanks, I’ll keep my 22
The V 6 is anemic.
The 3.5 V6 isn’t the greatest. It’s no 4.0.
Everyone wants to know the gas mileage
We'll have to wait until Toyota publishes it closer to the release. Figure on better than the V6 which was not very good.
@@revmatchtv my 21 takoma is a pig big turn off. And I hope it's not a big price increase
@@peterlindner8819 I'd guess $1-4K over the current models depending on trim level. I'd expect bigger increases at the top end with TRD Pro. Trailhunter will be up there too I'd guess.
@@revmatchtv I have a trd sport. So a few thousand more isn't to bad
All these bells and whistles, non- naturally aspirate engines will likely be a headache for a while. Also I don’t really care much for its looks.
4 cyl turbo? 👎🏼No, I’ll wait
Umm $47,000 for a 4 cylinder?? Turbo??? No Thank You!!!! You don't make a Work truck Without a V6 or a V8!!!! Period!!!! There goes natural power / reliability. Thank the EPA!!!!
Looks like it has some TRX/Jeep 392 influence. Still under powered. Typical toyota. But i'm sure the reliabity is still there.
The iForce Max is pretty good for a mid-sized truck: 326 horsepower/465 lb ft of torque. I have a 2004 4Runner with a 4.7-liter V8, and it's only good for 235 horses and 320 lb ft of torque.
common, toyota made in Mexico, a lot of things are not done correctly, many places unscrewed.. vibration on cabin, tail issue, hey what the heck, cheaper labor but don't blame on mexican who eat taco ..most employees get paid like 12dollars per day
All 2024 Tacomas are being built in Huntsville, Alabama.
It looks like an F150 , I can't wait for the glut of pimped out used gen 3s to go on fire sale.
Lol
Andre , quit calling it a Taco !
