It's funny that all the new guys from the sport side have a version of how Gracie Jujitsu and BJJ got started. People are writing books challenging almost everything the Gracie's say. The Gracie's that are saying it were actually there. The Self Defense side said Helio taught everybody, the sport side says Helio did not teach everybody, I am going to believe the people that were actually there.
Instead of rewriting history listen to what the old guys have to say.

@@aikidoisthebombyeah All I know is Relson Rickson and the rest of the brothers were actually there. BJJ wouldn't be the worldwide phenomenon if it wasn't for the Helio side of the family. The stupid argument of who came to America first with BJJ is a dumb argument. Without Helio and his sons none of this happens, the sport side cannot deny that. Sport guys should stop whining and enjoy what you do.
