    I remember coming into Gracie Humaita Reno Nv at 58 years of age and 280 lbs. .. Royler couldn't help but nocie me in his Seminar ,... He used me as a Dummy to semonstrate some techniques, he watched over m e like a concerned father while I was practicing, he "Thanked" me for being there and pointed out most guy's my age are sitting in a recliner watching TV. ... I stayed with Roylers affiliate in Reno, I am a Blue Belt today.. I have a lot of Respect for Royler and All the Gracies! GJJ for life!

    I have had the pleasure of having met Royler and attended a few of his seminars.. Royler is a AWESOME guy, Happy, Funny, and Cool as long as your respectfull.. But I saw a guy get under Roylers skin once, .. I saw a look in Roylers eyes, and his voice changed and it scared me!...Royler is a little guy physically But his knowledge and Spirit makes him a GIANT!.. Royler is full of knowledge and he has lot's of stories.. My Favorite story is the story about his Father, his uncle Carlos Sr. and some sharks the encountered while on a cruise ship!.. ROYLER ROCKS!

    Royler is a true legend and inspiration. Great roll Jake! Really really good defense. It has been fun going through these videos and seeing your position game develop. Anyone who trains would know the style of roll that is correct etiquette when invited to an academy. You have always shown that. Thanks for doing what you do! Awesome!

      Imagine that jj evolves like everything else. Royler is around 55 years old now and probably he started his training around 50 years ago, he is totally oldschool.
      You know what is the diffrence between Royler and Eddie? Royler proved his ground before, capturing multiple world titles and ADCC titles, losing only few matches in his entire career. On the other hand Eddie Bravo won ONE big match in his entire "career" and stopped competing after he was destroyed by Leo Vieira. Zero achievements on the highest level, none. Same with his students.
      Speaking about DDS, dudes from 10th planet are regularly destroyed by them. Marcin Held, who is a good grappler, but is fully into mma for last 15 years, casualy walks into a grappling competition and taps 2 top dudes from 10thp in less than few minutes combined. Their system is so good, that they can't win any medal on ADCC, never.
      No Eddie Bravo and DDS without Gracies. Casual lol

      walid ben ahmed Man, I've been training for five years, I do understand some bjj. What I mean is that Jake has envolved, I'm not saying he's world class or that he could beat Royler, I'm just saying he was not submited several times like he did against Caio Terra, Jeff Glover, and so on. He's a black belt now, after all, but of course the top guys are completely different animals.

    • @watchbeforeyoudie
      @watchbeforeyoudie 10 років тому

      walid ben ahmed Oh, and if you misunderstood me, I said Royler might have given up on that kimura atempt when he realized it was well defended and might have gone for something else.

    budo jake you seem like a top guy real nice decent person ,i dont want to offend you but i dont think you should be wearing that black belt from what ive seen in these videos, even from your confidence level i mean i know your with rikson and royler gracie but that shouldent matter,you should be confident in your self defence and that doesent show my friend i just felt that its a bit disrespectfull you turning up to these places with a black belt.now i dont know you or know were you got your black belt i may be wrong but from wat i see you aint the real deal.again no offence meant,peace and good health to you
