I’m also getting ready to move back home within the year to San Diego, CA. I know that things are done much differently back home from here, but would you have any idea if it would be possible to get some sort of work with the education I’ve got from Spain, or would I have to start from scratch? I’ve seen back home there’s a trade school that starts everyone off working as an apprentice, while going to class two nights a week. What’s your opinion on that?
How you doing Kyle! I’m really not sure to be honest with you, but if you already have your electrical license from Spain it possible they might allow you to transfer it. What’s up Andres! Congratulations on graduating High School! You have a few options you can go to trade school for electrical if you would like or you could start with a company with know experience & learn like that. It really depends on your situation, if your parents are ok with you going to school it’s nothing wrong with that either. I went the route of just working with know experience because of my situation. I would pray on it & you’ll make the right decision. Don’t be to hard on yourself, You Got This!🙏🏽
I’m not sure where your located but in Texas We have TDLR, TEXAS DEPARTMENT LICENSE REGULATION which is the website where I ordered my license from. Look at your state & they should have something similar & apply for the electrical apprentice license, mind was 20 dollars and came back in a week. It’s just good to have so when someone hires you, you will already have it..
Go ask them to be an apprentice. They'll start you off and show you what to do. Or just watch UA-cam videos like me and start actually learning stuff and then go. But you need to learn it for real like codes and stuff too. Not just change 1 light switch and think you're done. From watching videos I was able to completely rewire my entire house, and upgraded my main panels and connected to the live service entrance lines from my power company without any help. So you can definitely do it if you try! Good luck 👍
You can go the school route or start your apprenticeship with a company.. Someone will definitely give you an opportunity with no experience just make the most of it! You Got This..👍🏽
It really depends on what your situation is, I think that it’s best to try to get with a company & learn on the Job to get the experience. But if you feel like the school route would be better right now that’s cool too. I think you’ll be fine with either decision, pray on it!🙏🏽

@@SummerCleopatra75 How you doing! Well if your thinking about HVAC or Electrical there definitely a lot of opportunities out there, I know for HVAC & Electrical you can go the school route or try to get hired at a open shop that will train you with no experience. @@kellykun5090bro you do not need the education to start as an apprentice, do what this guy recommended you to do, start calling local companies and see if they have opportunities for apprenticeship. I couldn’t imagine spending a bunch of money time and effort to get in that same position.

Hey, got a cple questions for you. I’m moving back from living in Spain for a while, I just finished up a course which enables me here to either work as a basic electrical installer and or with solar panels, and I’m about to do 300hours of an apprenticeship.
I know it works differently state to state, I would call in your local area and see what they would recommend. They might allow you to go to trade school but not sure if you would have to start all over.. Sorry I couldn’t be much help, Everything will work out. One day at a time..🙏🏽
Trying to brainwash myself into enjoying being an electrician. Everyone seems the think it’s amazing. I guess people like different things.

I’m 18 coming straight out of high school and been wanting to become an electrician. The thing is I don’t know where to start. I’ve been recommended a 6 week certification course but don’t know if it’s worthy, any tips?
What’s up Andres! Congratulations on graduating High School! You have a few options you can go to trade school for electrical if you would like or you could start with a company with know experience & learn like that. It really depends on your situation, if your parents are ok with you going to school it’s nothing wrong with that either. I went the route of just working with know experience because of my situation. I would pray on it & you’ll make the right decision. Don’t be to hard on yourself, You Got This!🙏🏽
@@TheApprenticeToJourneyman thanks for the advice! So my first step would be to contact electrical companies to see if they need apprentices?
I’m not sure where your located but in Texas We have TDLR, TEXAS DEPARTMENT LICENSE REGULATION which is the website where I ordered my license from. Look at your state & they should have something similar & apply for the electrical apprentice license, mind was 20 dollars and came back in a week. It’s just good to have so when someone hires you, you will already have it..
I got no experience right now and trying to be an electrician what would be the best option for me?
You Got This..👍🏽
What the best route you think I should Do want to get into the electric field but just don’t know to start I don’t know to do trade school
It really depends on what your situation is, I think that it’s best to try to get with a company & learn on the Job to get the experience. But if you feel like the school route would be better right now that’s cool too. I think you’ll be fine with either decision, pray on it!🙏🏽

@@TheApprenticeToJourneymanjoin the union once you are a higher level apprentice, or journeyman. If there’s lots of work in your area you won’t regret it.
