exactly. the real problem with horror movies these days is they have no mystery. all these directors seem to be capable of is scaring the viewers by overexposing the demon/ghost in their movies. that's not an effective or creative way in trying to scare the audience. I feel like the reason these shitty horror movies become so popular these days is because the vast majority of viewers' IQ is lowering as well as the directors'.
+Gamer# 999 exactly, it was way scarier when bughuul was only a paranormal being appearig on the dark corners of the tapes. But since he is now a phyisical human that walks and runs its less petrifying. Lol
Tyra H yeah that was the creepiest part him watching them over and over again. i didnt see sinister till it was on cable tv recently and it still crept me out pretty bad.
Tyra H ok i really want to see this now.. they are really scary? should i watch with a friend? omg, please i have a love/hate relationship with scary movies and i haven't seen a good one in a long time.
Taylor Gordon-Levitt O'Brien i would say that besides a bit of obvious jump scares the story is solid and the horror is palpable. Though balguul is fortunately not an actual deity of sorts he's derived from several mythologies
Wow really clever idea for a sequel, u get to see the kids side of the story now, how they are recruited and chosen.. Sinister was one of the scariest movies in a long time.
I'll admit that it does make for a more interesting story and we want more info on what goes on here. But this wasn't a little bit scary. Just generic jump scares with no atmosphere whatsoever. And that Boogeyman song in the background just destroyed the intensity.
Jacob Voronkov Also I'm worried about the child actors. The children in the trailer didn't scare me like the kid going "this is mine". Their acting just seemed so flat and not at all frightening. Also I'm concerned about how many times they are showing the boogyman. One of the interests of the first movie was that the boogyman was only shown a little and in glimpses adding to the mystery. In this trailer he pops up everywhere and it seems to desensitize me to his jump scares. I completely agree with what you said about the atmosphere. The cinematography and soundtrack were brilliant in the first movie and made for a surreal and incredibly frighting atmosphere. This trailer just felt like a completely different movie altogether (likely because of the different director) only taking the plot and some characters from the previous movie, but leaving out all that made the first movie brilliant. Of course this is just a trailer but so far I'm very disappointed considering Sinister is my favorite horror movie and this just seems as you said "generic".
Now this is what I don't like. OK, I'll admit I like the idea of giving the interested cop from the first movie some shine. I liked his character. I just don't like how Bagul is in the forefront now. I liked how he was an ominous entity in the shadows. Seeing him, A LOT might I add, kind of takes the scare factor for me. That's just from the trailer though I may see it and love it.
Writer B Exactly my thoughts. I love the 1st movie tie in, but less is more on the monster. The first 45 minutes of part 1 almost had me running from the theater from the tension alone. Even then, when they revealed the villain, it was a little heavy handed, but not so bad it brought down the movie. Now the guy's in the video link. Just makes it look goofy. Like a Korn fan on his way to church. Dangerously close to jumping the shark if you ask me.
***** And that's exactly my point. The lack of mystery kills it for me. And another thing, if this is supposed to be some sort of "ancient evil" like the first movie expressed then why is he wearing as SUIT?! PLEASE TELL ME!

I agree I thought it’s plot was very different than most but it fit perfectly with the character development. The movie exuded such sinister haunting circumstances. This left me satisfied and maybe not able to sleep don’t watch at night lol
The kids could have been done better, they didn't even give so and so a name since even though he was the protagonist, and their father was just a generic douchebag that exists so we can enjoy his death.
As long as they stick to the original format (no jump scares and paranoia-laced visuals), I will *adore* this film. I think the first on is one of the best horror films of the modern age and I'll be heartbroken if this sequel shits on it.
Amity Bread If by tons you mean 4, then yea, there were tons of jumpscares. But if you are reffering to this trailer, then I have to agree, there were alot of them in this trailer. Lets hope there are all though xD
Kai Lyman Well hold on, in my opinion this trailer was poorly done, I could be wrong but if I am not then there is still hope because sinister didn`t get nearly the praise that insidious did and they came out around literally the same time. So just hold on, wait, watch, and see. Becuase I don`t think jason will let us down.
Liam Taylor No. Before, there were actual stories. Movies didn't focused so much on jump scares. It was mental, psychological frustration that scares you with little jump scares (Ex. The Shinning). Now movies are all about jump scares, loud sounds, stupid decisions and stupid stories.
What made the first film so awesome was how little we actually saw the Ba-ghoul demon, left a lot to imagination which help with the horror aspect. Know it seems like they want to shove him into every shot, it;s a shame when good movies get ruined by sequels.
TheHypeLordOGS I totally agree, They didnt show him a lot in the first film but this trailer seems as though they are showing him wayyy too much which makes him less mysterious and scary. Im going to see this film but Im afraid it wont live up to its predecessor.
Lol A movie can't be ruined be a sequel. That's stupid. The first film doesnt just become corrupt after a bad sequel. The first is still there in tact and perfectly fine just like how it was before the sequel.
your right, but you have to admit that it makes the whole idea of baghul seem less scary, I mean one of the most scariest moments in the first sinister was when we noticed him in the pool and ethan hawkes character paused the frame on his face cause in that moment we were all like "Who the HEck is That?".
The first sinister was amazing, one of the best horror movies I have seen. My friends and I watched it together not knowing anything about it and left the room we watched it in shivering all over. The concept was amazing and we lost our shit with fright in some scenes. I am hyped for this movie sooooooooo much, really hope it lives up to the name
HighWay93 Dude, the first one sucked. Well, the scares were effective but if you think about it, they were also cheesy such as the ending where the bughuul looks at the screen
andre jamena the ending was exceptional the fact that the main character and all of the family dies is something different.the whole movie was amazing for me!
This movie is literally amazing. The difference between the two ( sinister & sinsiter 2 ) is that the first movie focuses more on putting the story together and really finding out what's going on. Other than the second one which it is more focused on the kids and how the children our corrupted. I really enjoyed this movie and I definetly give it a 5 out of 5.
@@danielburdisso1483 I’ve seen this sequel more than 10x and I enjoy it a lot. But to be honest it’s not as disturbing or terrifying as the original it’s definitely more entertaining though. It’s really because we know the “formula” already so it’s noo mystery to it
I loved this movie, even more than the first one actually. It's different from all those stupid cliche horror movies. This movie's got a great story and it's actually scary (I'm guessing it's mainly because of the children, because children are friggin horrifying, especially when they murder their entire family).
Yeah most horror movies nowadays have more jumpscares than good stories. This movie doesn't have alot of jumpscares but the after feeling of watching the movie is SO scary and eerie! It haunts you for the rest of the day haha
Kirsten Hoppins bro wtf are you talking about this movie was all jumpscares and barely any suspense compared to the first one which was more suspenseful. The new director fudked this movie up
Cecilie Jensen umm this one could’ve been good but it literally sucked it was too focused on the kids and it came off as cheesy compared to the first one where the kids were quiet and baghul was the main evil. It’s like in the second one they just had him as a side piece and that was stupid plus they overexposed him. Hated that evil kid’s shitty acting
@@94XBlackXEyedXPeas Ciaran Foy should have never directed this movie fr! Honestly I’m not even sure if they should have made a sequel because the “formula” was revealed from the original so it was not as disturbing or terrifying as original
My take: 1. Did slender man grow hair or did a member of slipknot want to be in a movie 2. Jumpscares... im terrified 3. At the end is that kid scared he's holding up an old camera? For gods sake my 6 year old sister laughed at that 4. Slender slipknot demon thing wants the kids oh no.... the family survives the end 5. Ghost show their deaths because.... why? 6. The song was more interesting then the trailer 7. Brother/sister concerned for sibling cliche 8. Kid sees footage of murder cliche 9. Mother wont let anything happen to her kids cliche 10. Kid shows sibling something relating to the plot cliche 11. House in what is basically the middle of nowhere cliche 12. "Your family's in danger" cliche 13. Demon has reference in all cultures cliche 14. Demon hunts family cliche 15. Demon goes after kids cliche 16. Demon grabs kid cliche 17. Demon scares protagonist rather then just killing them cliche 18. Cinemasins is gonna have a field day with this 19. Demon/ghost wears formal wear cliche ( at least to me it looks like formal wear ) 20. Demon prefers to scare every one rather then just killing them. 21. No ones ever survived an encounter with this particular demon cliche 22. Music plays to horrible site cliche 23. So... many... cliches cliche... wait what? 24.Demon scares someone in a photo cliche because.... it can 25. Family moves to a house where evil is cliche 26. Can we finish watching the original Night of the Living Dead? I can already tell that would be better then watching this movie. 27. Movie within a movie cliche 28. Also Night of the Living Dead in a horror movie cliche, granted it isn't very common and this isn't a zombie but point stands 29. This trailer is making me become cinemasins 30. Also mom wont let her kids watch the original Night of the Living Dead? Thats probably the best movie they will see in a long time and she is depriving them of that 31. "Its not real mom, its ok if it not real" cliche 32. Also haha irony 33. Trailer reminds me of paranormal activity 34. Trailer reminds me of the purge 35. Trailer reminds me of insidious and im ok with that and im not ok with that 36. Family murdered cliche 37. Family murdered cliche again 38. Movie is released in August. What's the issue? My sisters birthday is in August. In other words trailer reminds me of something i already know about
***** They weren't spared, the demon eats their soul slowly, driving them it madness. In the end, the child goes so insane (soul being eaten/manipulated by demon) and brutally murders their whole family and films the whole thing. Afterwards, the demon takes the child, and the child joins the rest of the kids that killed their families (and are basically dead, but can't move on to the afterlife). At least that's what I got from watching the first movie. First movie was the perspective of an adult (the parent), this one appears to be in the perspective of a kid being taken over slowly. It also looks like the other dead kids are trying to help him. Does this information help at all?
Ashley Spurling my entire comment was a joke. Besides i understand driving them mad but performing countless jumpscares is just stupid. Also at the end ( which i assume is u talking about when the kid is holding the camera ) it just looks ridiculous, its like he see how the quality its turning out and he's screaming at how terrible it is.
noahmd1 I was talking to "some person" when I said all that. They were asking about the kids and since I had just watched the first movie, I knew how to answer their question correctly. Most of what I said, including the whole filming part, was about the first movie, not the trailer of the second one.
missourigreen051 Thank you. I thought so. Think it will state his real name this time? The Deputy So and So thing was funny, but I can't help wondering what his real name is.
DarkEcoMaiden Yeah right lol, but if it really is Deputy So and So shouldn't he already know some of the things that happened? Unless the sequel is a follow up and this time is focused on him and he's trying to figure out the case since Ellison got murdered? lmao don't mind me I'm just trying to figure something out, which is just turning confusing lol sorry
I liked the first Sinister a lot...more disturbing-freaky-creepy than scary and that's what gets under your skin. This Sequel looks really good too with more scares and the children! Can't wait to see it!
The first sinister is honestly probably one of the best horror movies I've seen, and I've seen a lot. Horror movies have kind of started to stop affecting me as much, but I'm sure if I watched sinister again it would scare me. The first time my friends and I saw boogie, we instantly we scared. I think it's because the plot wasn't as predictable, it was kind of one of those ones you just didn't understand until the end. Since it was one of my favourites I'm just hoping this movie doesn't ruin it for me
It’s the VERY reason why the sequel was not as effective or terrifying. The original there was this “mystery” aspect to it but by the end we knew the “formula” so to make a sequel it was a mistake to be honest because we already know what’s going to happen essentially
***** me 2 lol my mom n dad had it on VHS i still have it from when i was a kid but i don't watch it cause i don't want the tape to break i have it on DVD now and every Halloween i watch it
Sinister was honestly one of the best horror films ever made, so I'm really happy that there making part 2 and I think the trailer looks pretty amazing so lets prey that the movie is to.
I enjoyed this film, not as much as the first one but still. I liked that we got to see the kids points of view in this one and more exposed murders! the way the families were killed were so unique lol I have no idea how they thought of these different murders. We also got to enjoy another good soundtrack and they even included the classic creepy song from the first one. I'm not sure about anyone else but everytime he popped up on screen I was terrified 😰! I will definitely watch again
Apparently the studio made the director put that jump scare at the end of the first film. He (the director) originally wanted to end it with the pulling-away shot of the home movies box we got before that.
People who are saying that movies directors should have kept it a mystery are stupid because part 1 was about keeping the mystery and part 2 was about revealing it. Plus there were more jump scares in Sinister 2. Of course for me , both movies were great and reside in my heart! Also people are saying they shouldn't have shown Bughuul's face but then what would be the point. If the face of the villain is not shown then there's no point. Plus his face is scariest thing!
I liked this movie. It had a good story, seeing the abusive father die was so satisfying. 2 home videos were disturbing enough to make me squirm. The 1st, the drill in the dentist's chair. The 2 and the most brutal, because it actually worked that way.. Rat Torture.
Raeyne Jaymeson it was stupid and unsatisfying how fast they killed him tho he should’ve suffered more. the tapes were cool yes but overall this movie sucked compared to the first and I it’s because they let another director be in charge of this one and he blew it bad.
The reason Sinister 2 is not good is because Bughuul's face has been revealed too often and theres no mystery. Mystery is scary.
Tru

Amity Bread If by tons you mean 4, then yea, there were tons of jumpscares. But if you are reffering to this trailer, then I have to agree, there were alot of them in this trailer. Lets hope there are all though xD
JYJnKumi Considering who the producer is, I hope you have some duct tape lying around.
I agree. No jumpscares, I hope.
Jump scares are so predictable and shit now
They keep doing it.
The same shit over and over again with every movie that comes out.
Ya, but there still scary
You mean they weren't shit before?
ElectricEleaf scary, or startling? There is a difference.
Liam Taylor No. Before, there were actual stories. Movies didn't focused so much on jump scares. It was mental, psychological frustration that scares you with little jump scares (Ex. The Shinning). Now movies are all about jump scares, loud sounds, stupid decisions and stupid stories.
I'm waiting for that ghost to say "Hee Hee"
Btw never watch a horror movie with head phones\loud volume in the dark alone because when I do it I 👊🏻🧴😩🥜
@@mc8685 your ears gonna be broke
When did Slender Man decide to grow hair?
Bioweapon N Joke failed. Want to try again?
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron Joke? It was a question.
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron 😂😂😂
Slender doesn't have a face. This guy does
He's like a mixture of slenderman & the joker
I thought that the first Sinister was good for a horror movie. Being "good" for a horror movie means around 6-7/10
Jason R someones been watching the wrong horror movies
Noah Kiriu I'm talking mainly about recent horror movies.

TheHypeLordOGS Agreed
It's almost like their trying to make this dude Hollywoods slenderman or something
When I watch a scary trailer I minimize the screen to the bottom right on my iphone because I'm chicken. 😂😅😂😅
lol
haha.. u funny
Me. 😂 and I hold my phone like 1 metre away from my face 😂
And I still cover the screen and turn the sound down😂

RckerMom87 Well it is true. He does look like Mick.
K100 its his twin brother
I love Slipknot
K100 ...after he got stabbed in the head.
Such a well dressed boogie man. O_O
I enjoyed the first one. I can't wait to see this.
yumiko0017 but why? usualy sequels suck extremely and i can see that this one is continuing the tradition.
HighWay93 Dude, the first one sucked. Well, the scares were effective but if you think about it, they were also cheesy such as the ending where the bughuul looks at the screen
andre jamena the ending was exceptional the fact that the main character and all of the family dies is something different.the whole movie was amazing for me!
kostas pap Actually, I'm referring to the cheesy scare ending where the main antagonist suprises everyone on screen as "the final scare".
yumiko0017 Same here!
Bughuul seems scary at first, but damn that eyebrow game is strong...
Only at first, then you realize he just does his jump-scare moves without much to it. Booh! 😂
Am I the only one who is watching this in 2019?
Me too
Lil Goku nope
Just for the nostalgia
No
Nope
This movie is literally amazing. The difference between the two ( sinister & sinsiter 2 ) is that the first movie focuses more on putting the story together and really finding out what's going on. Other than the second one which it is more focused on the kids and how the children our corrupted. I really enjoyed this movie and I definetly give it a 5 out of 5.
Didn’t see the second one but I found the first one to be really good
@@danielburdisso1483 I’ve seen this sequel more than 10x and I enjoy it a lot.
Yeah, or children like that scene in The Shining when all the blood runs through the hallway. It’s not scary, but it’s thrilling
@@94XBlackXEyedXPeas Ciaran Foy should have never directed this movie fr! Honestly I’m not even sure if they should have made a sequel because the “formula” was revealed from the original so it was not as disturbing or terrifying as original
*Wish there was a sinister 3 :(*
_ ᴊᴏßɪɴ _ there might be
It will come in 5 weeks

This one was horrible but i think the movie deserves other opportunity

Is it just me, or is this the only modern horror movie series that actually scares me. Like honestly, the first one had me TERRIFIED!
this is literally Slenderman with hair
Am I the only person on this god for saken planet that liked this movie?!
Scabloonshki Yes.
My take:
1. Did slender man grow hair or did a member of slipknot want to be in a movie
2. Jumpscares... im terrified
3. At the end is that kid scared he's holding up an old camera? For gods sake my 6 year old sister laughed at that
4. Slender slipknot demon thing wants the kids oh no.... the family survives the end
5. Ghost show their deaths because.... why?
6. The song was more interesting then the trailer
7. Brother/sister concerned for sibling cliche
8. Kid sees footage of murder cliche
9. Mother wont let anything happen to her kids cliche
10. Kid shows sibling something relating to the plot cliche
11. House in what is basically the middle of nowhere cliche
12. "Your family's in danger" cliche
13. Demon has reference in all cultures cliche
14. Demon hunts family cliche
15. Demon goes after kids cliche
16. Demon grabs kid cliche
17. Demon scares protagonist rather then just killing them cliche
18. Cinemasins is gonna have a field day with this
19. Demon/ghost wears formal wear cliche ( at least to me it looks like formal wear )
20. Demon prefers to scare every one rather then just killing them.
21. No ones ever survived an encounter with this particular demon cliche
22. Music plays to horrible site cliche
23. So... many... cliches cliche... wait what?
24.Demon scares someone in a photo cliche because.... it can
25. Family moves to a house where evil is cliche
26. Can we finish watching the original Night of the Living Dead? I can already tell that would be better then watching this movie.
27. Movie within a movie cliche
28. Also Night of the Living Dead in a horror movie cliche, granted it isn't very common and this isn't a zombie but point stands
29. This trailer is making me become cinemasins
30. Also mom wont let her kids watch the original Night of the Living Dead? Thats probably the best movie they will see in a long time and she is depriving them of that
31. "Its not real mom, its ok if it not real" cliche
32. Also haha irony
33. Trailer reminds me of paranormal activity
34. Trailer reminds me of the purge
35. Trailer reminds me of insidious and im ok with that and im not ok with that
36. Family murdered cliche
37. Family murdered cliche again
38. Movie is released in August. What's the issue? My sisters birthday is in August. In other words trailer reminds me of something i already know about
noahmd1 someone writing a long list of how "bad" its gunna be ... Cliche
yarely herrera i didn't say that it would be bad its just what i saw from this trailer
Boogeyman haunting you? It's simple, call John Wick.
Sinister was prolly the scariest movie I’ve seen. Didn’t know there was a sequel 😶🤐
Have you seen the conjuring and insidious?
@@Ineke-hj9ok I have but none of them has kept me up at night not like the sinister
How the hell is it scary lol.
Don't worry kids its just mick thomson from slipknot!
That would've been cool if they would have included a slipknot song in the trailer, IMO.
We need part 3 of this movie 🍿🍿🍿🎥🎥🎥 One of the best movies at all times.
We definitely 👍 💯 👍 💯 need a part 3 of sinister
Hang on...Isn't that Deputy So and So?
DarkEcoMaiden yes
missourigreen051 Thank you.
TrapBird It's ok. I'm trying to figure it out too. I'm kinda slow.
DarkEcoMaiden haha that makes two of us

Legendary Ninja Let the man R.I.P damm.
Richna Nicolas mr boogie is back

I liked the first Sinister a lot...more disturbing-freaky-creepy than scary and that's what gets under your skin. This Sequel looks really good too with more scares and the children! Can't wait to see it!
I just pooped myself a little
OKKKKK Because it's such a shitty trailer I assumed it was yourself.
Very few horror movies have managed to make me look over my shoulder whilst watching, this is one of them.
Wow the villain is Michael slenderman Jackson I wonder how much they paid him
+Oliver Blinston true LOL
XD
I know right
😂😂😂😂
I thought the exact same thing!
One of the best horror movies, definitely! I've seen the first part and now I can't wait for the second one. :D
Me trying to open video....
Ads : wait until we complete our show
I liked the first Sinister actually.
the guy look like mick thomson from slipknot

Does anyone know the movie that the kids are watching in the beginning? Is it Night of the Living Dead?
No it's not but I'm not sure which one it actually is
Yes it is, Night of the living dead (1967 version). Your welcome.
Chris Bruning yes , better watch that movie than this =)
***** me 2 lol my mom n dad had it on VHS i still have it from when i was a kid but i don't watch it cause i don't want the tape to break i have it on DVD now and every Halloween i watch it
Chris Bruning Darude-Sandstorm
Sinister was honestly one of the best horror films ever made, so I'm really happy that there making part 2 and I think the trailer looks pretty amazing so lets prey that the movie is to.
It looks like Mic from Slipknot
The Sinister movies freaks me out af
Same!! :O
0:29 i thought to myself: SLENDERMAN!?
No it is mr.boogie
I enjoyed this film, not as much as the first one but still. I liked that we got to see the kids points of view in this one and more exposed murders! the way the families were killed were so unique lol I have no idea how they thought of these different murders. We also got to enjoy another good soundtrack and they even included the classic creepy song from the first one. I'm not sure about anyone else but everytime he popped up on screen I was terrified 😰! I will definitely watch again
If Slenderman and Jeff the Killer were having a child...
THIS is what it would look like xDD
The end THO! WHEN YOU FIND YOUR DAD TAKING A DUMP IN THE WOODS
2:26 me when I'm really starving😧.
Sinister 2: Throw a Lannister over the banister
And so on and so on and on and on and on and on until millions of kids were in the "HOME MOVIES" box
That scream at 2:26 really scared me. It scared me more than the movie itself.
I guess they all die, or think they've stopped it then die?
Are you really going to leave your dragons chained up like that?
Tennant the Tenth Why did you die on us?
Tennant the Tenth those chains won't last long.

shebbz sure.
i want something like the Avengers, Insidious and Sinister together in a movie.. would be really cool
i'll co-sign on that idea
Take my like.
How would that even work? I bet you're one of those people who thinks Transformers is cinematic gold.
ErschaGaming kind of like Specs and Tucker help a family dealing with the Sinister monster ?
Indeed!
I know I'm gonna get nightmares. So why do I do this to myself? 😂
I struggle to find horror movies that will really creep me out. This one did the job!
The shhhh keeps reminding me of Pretty Little Liars hope I'm not the only one who's thinking that lmao
I have got to see that movie do you think its going to be on 3d as well? I just want to know.
I enjoyed the Sinister films, but for the very last second of them.
That stupid "Boo!" they give ruins what could be creepy and very sinister endings.
ikr
Apparently the studio made the director put that jump scare at the end of the first film. He (the director) originally wanted to end it with the pulling-away shot of the home movies box we got before that.
i love how that boogie man song was used in Jeepers Creepers so many memories
Watching this at 1:47 at night....BIG MISTAKE‼️
I keep on watching the first one and now my family is annoyed at me anyone love it
This movie is amazing, I love it so much and I can't wait for third part to come out
Horror+Mystery+Thriller=MasterPeice.
Omg🤣🤣, I remember when me and my cuisin were 10, this trailer would show on tv and we'd hide under the blankets, lmao
2019 every one?
Who else thinks that James Ransone is really freakin attractive
I do.

I liked it too!
why you got to spoil what a dick move
Spoiler Alert.
Raeyne Jaymeson it was stupid and unsatisfying how fast they killed him tho he should’ve suffered more. the tapes were cool yes but overall this movie sucked compared to the first and I it’s because they let another director be in charge of this one and he blew it bad.
I can't sleep properly or take a shower because of this
Tried weed for the first time, sat in my dark room, watched this trailer for a thrill...... and freaking regretted it
