I honestly feel sorry to anybody that praised this pile of garbage, and wonder what terrible movies you have watched to ever consider this movie above a 2/10. The fact that every movie made for adults are red flagged so they make a child-friendly version that had zero umph! *IT* part one was good. A lot of censored stuff. Part two was made for children that it even looked like some sci fi shit. Evil dead 2013 was was scarier than this pile of shit. Critics say the 2013 version was more comedic than this one. Where?? You mean like swallowing an eyeball and choking to death? And the acting was fucking terrible! That's what you get when you get kids to play the parts. The glass eating scene was such a stupid attempt to make a gore-ish scene.
I'm a nurse and I have to say out of all the tortures that Grater going down the leg just had me shaking, this is going to be so awesome can't wait for it to come out.
The main thing I love about this is that it feels like The Evil Dead remake, it has the style and the creepiness and it's looks like it's gonna have the over the top badass gore that I loved from that remake, Fede Alvarez isn't even directing this and yet they find a way to make it feel like it's directed by him, cannot wait to see this!!
I think Evil Dead is one of the only movie franchises that can actually pull off horror and gore at the same time, so many "Horror movies" now a days are just blood and gore with little horror in them, Evil Dead seems to be one of the only few franchises to actually achieve the horror part of their movies and I love them for that! Can't wait to see this
Whoever plays the mother looks like she does a fantastic job!!! I mean all of them but that part where she’s outside the door and says “Open up now” is great…WOW
I agree. That was one of my absolute faves when I first seen it. Still such a good one with it being so many years ago . But when I tell you IM READYYYY to get to see this one and how excited I am , is totally an understatement 😂🖤❤️🖤
This is 100% a movie I'm not too sure the kids will survive... but honestly we need a movie that will shock and surprise us out of that cliché once in a bloody moon
After just seeing this movie in theaters I can confidently say this has to be by far the best horror movie I've ever come across, It genuinely made my girl feel like she was about to have a panic attack. 10/10
Only thing I didn't really understand why it had to be there was the prologue. Unless they are setting up a sequel to this one in particular it really didn't feel like it needed to be there.
I love how Evil Dead exists in two extremes, we got full blown Evil Dead 2 camp in Ash vs Evil Dead and full on horror/gore in the remake and this it seems. Looks awesome.
Thing is they all are of the same universe. Especially this one. So Ash is technically still around when this event is happening just not right at this location. Bruce brought it up before how in Army of Darkness there are three books of the dead.
@@UberStarFkr No I believe you are referring to the 3 books in the cemetery and two were traps. One that sucked him in, the other that attacked like a flying bat and than the real one where it screwed up on the word Nicto and coughed his way through it. Saw it in theaters last night and it was the first Evil Dead movie I've ever watched. It was absolutely incredible and was such a great movie-going experience. The cinematography, the dialogue, and the chilling music, were all done beautifully. Highly recommend! Looking forward to another one.
@@judgeberry6071 i am in the minority cause this movie is made for modern casual watchers, as a fan of the old evil dead trilogy, i should indeed feel in the minority watching this version
This movie has nothing to do with the remake/reboot even though the remake wasn’t that great to begin with. I think you mean this movie hopefully is a worthy successor to the original films.
Masterful in every way . Special effects and great music are the main reason why I enjoyed watching this movie . Acting is beyond expectations . As a result you cannot get bored with this film . Definitely 💯
That line got me too! My favorite part of the entire trailer. Well that and the cheese grater. I saw that coming a mile away and was like noooo, why!? Why throw something that can be made into a weapon at a crazy killer person!!
I feel like the almost comical moments and one liners like that might create a weird tone conflict in the movie. Depends how it's done I suppose, but no expectations for this one
I love the lady (not the dead one) and how her eyes are completely cold and hold no emotion whether she's playing with a child or when she's in complete " terror."
Finally had the chance to watch this with my son last night and we both loved it! I absolutely love every movie in this series. Although Halloween is my all-time favorite, Evil Dead is a close 2nd. Hope they make more! Also- Ash vs. Evil Dead is such a fun show. I've watched it through 3 times. Really wish they had been on a better network so there could have been a season 4 though.
I love how the "Deadites" in the Evil Dead lore shift to their weeping, crying self just so everybody can get their guards down and/or feel worse than they already are about hurting them. Simplest trick for psychological horror, but myGod it's brilliant.
Do am I the only one who is obsessed with this trailer and movie? - I went to the cinema 2 weeks ago and, man... This is a work of art in horror field. 10/10! LET IT RISE!
I love how the way they do their roles from bottom of their heart to make audience feel thrilled. And I love how the way, girl opens the door with all her innocence and ask why she is not looking good, and secondly I love how the ghost says that mommy is maggots now it feels really horror
Just finished watching this qnd i gotta say that these comments gave me high expectations but it wasn’t all that, most of the scenes were predictable and the actors didn’t seem genuinely “scared” .I give this movie a 5/10

yeah trailer is so good they don't show you they cast a grown ass 21 year old woman as a 13 to 15 year old teenage boy. little odd considering the movie didn't have a transgender plot or story line and they just let it ride through the whole picture without explanation. I mean it could have made sense if I was watching Peter Pan but I wasn't I was watching Evil Dead.
This is a pure definition of what a horror movie should be! Definitely one of the best horror movies in this century, every scene makes you shiver down your spine i love it
I saw the movie today and this movie is no joke. Evil Dead Rise is far and away the best horror film I’ve seen this year. This movie was awesome. It was disturbing, scary, brutal and the movie showed no mercy. The Evil Dead franchise continues to bat 1000 at the plate. Every film in the series is amazing. The original from 1981, the awesome Evil Dead 2 from 1987, Army Of Darkness was a change of pace it was a flat out comedy and yet it was still a blast. The 2013 reboot was so underrated and in my opinion one of the better reboots over the last decade. This series is perfection not one lousy movie or uninspired effort. Most horror movie franchises get lazy and don’t put their best foot forward at a certain point but that’s never happened with Evil Dead and that’s why it’s such a beloved horror franchise.
I just got home from watching it at the theaters. When I tell you, a movie hasn’t creeped me out like this one in a LONG time. It’s been several years now that I leave the theater feeling underwhelmed after watching a horror movie, NOT THIS TIME. I was actually anxious walking out of the movie. It’s a ride from start to finish. Usually movies will drag on and get mildly good or kinda “scary” until the middle-end, not this one. There was no unnecessary filler, no beating around the bush. It was a genuinely scary movie with well done gore. 10/10 in my books.
@korvosexpedition4323Horror movies are rarely any good on their own. Almost all of them require additional genre support and are mostly predictable and frankly not even scary. Evil Dead(2,3),Ash vs Evil Dead may be horror-comedy but atleast they are entertaining.
@Korvo's Expedition You must be fun at parties😐. Seems kinda weird that ur responding to a lot of comments abt ur negative opinion, let ppl be excited abt a amazing horror serie.
As a huge fan of the Originals and Bruce Campbell, I wasn't sure what to expect. I love the comedy/ silliness of 2 and Army of Darkness. I also liked the more serious nature of 1 and the remake. I gotta say this looks better than the 2013 remake. Which is exciting cause I like the remake. I'm glad they went serious because not sure if anyone could pull off the one liners like Bruce does lol.
wait...the og was suppose to be serious? i thought they ALL were suppose to be campy just they chose to make it obvious w the sequels. i meant the vine scene had me giggling
I like to think of it as a POV thing. For Ash, it started off serious, but after what happened to him he had enough of the shit and anytime deadites show up, it’s just another Tuesday lmao. Even for side characters, they have a horrible experience and then it becomes campy later on (which works very well with Kelly and Pablo) and then there’s the 2013, no junior just straight horror which was done well imo. It seems like anyone who isn’t ash or part of his group is gonna have a different kind of tone with the deadites and I’m all for it because no one can replace Bruce Campbell as Ash! But that’s how I feel about it
Evil Dead is always consistent, which is rare. I am actually terrified to watch this alone because for a franchise that’s been solid as far as horror and now a total of 5. Films and one amazing tv series, it’s not the fact it’s not taking place in the cabin nor that it’s this and the 2013 remake are not related but the first ten minutes terrified in me during daylight hours… I need to know how intense this one is!

Evil dead 2 dead by dawn is an actual masterpiece and way ahead of it’s time! Amazed how much the last two films 2013/2023 have strayed from part 2 which is actually the first film given the rights the creator had to overcome for his own film and part 3 which was a love it or hate it path of genius! Ash vs the Evil Dead was a binge watchable series that ended too soon given how fun it was! I can appreciate the need for the last two needing a more modern aggressive evil bite comparing to series like The Conjuring and Insidious if they were to attract new viewers that may be interested to see the whole cult classic film progression. I guess humour takes the ferociousness of the deadites away but I’m glad I’ve been around long enough to appreciate both ends of the spectrum!

Very interesting. I start nursing school in a few months and the grater going down the leg was what got me too

Ok I trust in this
Just got home safely 😂
I just got home from watching it at the theaters. When I tell you, a movie hasn’t creeped me out like this one in a LONG time. It’s been several years now that I leave the theater feeling underwhelmed after watching a horror movie, NOT THIS TIME. I was actually anxious walking out of the movie. It’s a ride from start to finish. Usually movies will drag on and get mildly good or kinda “scary” until the middle-end, not this one. There was no unnecessary filler, no beating around the bush. It was a genuinely scary movie with well done gore. 10/10 in my books.

@@gmikes5184 really? Wtf, the vine scene?
I like to think of it as a POV thing. For Ash, it started off serious, but after what happened to him he had enough of the shit and anytime deadites show up, it’s just another Tuesday lmao. Even for side characters, they have a horrible experience and then it becomes campy later on (which works very well with Kelly and Pablo) and then there’s the 2013, no junior just straight horror which was done well imo. The change of environment to was utilized to its fullest very claustrophobic and anxiety inducing and all the blood in the third act was gnarly I’m not sure how people don’t like this movie it’s evil dead baby!
Not so true Lies like a fuck half the movie was spent her killing random people Ehh was kinda boreing seen hella better horror movies got bored half way threw didn’t even start scary ended horrible like a 2014 scary movie just over all was kinda cheaply made half the movie had to do with them staying in one room and some Random people being killed for add on l then the only good part comes where she actually fights the family now if u seat Here and say u don’t agree ima assume your older like mid 30s or just haveing extremely boreing taste in movies
Worst movie

Master piece😮 are you paid by WB THIS IS A HORRIBLE WORST MOVIE EVER
@@Resillaiant- you’re cringe
I love when an innocent little girl gets involved in a situation like this in a bloody horror movie. I hope she becomes the sole survivor at the end of the movie.
Go to hell freak
If we’re lucky she’ll be one of the first to go.
What about the boys?
You're most likely a predator.
@@bomanidaalchemist5801 this is so not funny but funny at the same time 😂😂😂😂
An incredible horror movie hope they keep making them like this and not loose the gore essence ❤❤❤❤❤
2:06 The Shining reference 😳😱
No it's a straight up copy and paste
In the thub too
Y’all are retarded. 😂
A horror franchise that never loses, It is quite remarkable to consider how Ash effortlessly kills these creatures while still maintaining his sense of humor.
@Korvo's Expedition my mean is horror not awards
@Korvo's Expedition that's your thought, Not my
Doest matter how many evil dead movies come and go.Evil Dead of 80's & 90's with Bruce Campbell will always be the MASTERPIECE
Looking forward for watching EVIL DEAD RISE 2 !!! 🙂
It's been a long time since a trailer has given me chills like this!
You really had to edit this comment lmfao
@skull clot you really had to comment on it? Time to get a life
Me too..and made me nauseous too🫣
These movies are always the perfect amount of horror and gore 🙏
Evil Dead was the best horror movie made in 1980s...and its sequels haven't really disappointed to scare us either
I feel like evil dead is the only classic horror franchise to be completely solid and doesn’t have a bad movie.
Saw this the other night in theaters, it was a very well put together film and just down right terrifying. Easily one of the scariest if not the scariest film I've ever seen. The cast did a great job acting and there was never any moment in the film where you could relax because there was so much chaos going on! You have to see this movie!!!!!
its very rich to talk about scariest films ever when you have watched essentially nothing when it comes to horror
@@Gnsd45 are you a horror elitist? what would you say is scary? also people react to different factors of the horror such as gore or religious iconography to different extents so regardless this could be the scarriest movie for a lot of people.
@@S0MBRX Same arguement could be made for even non horror movies, this doesnt mean anything. If you want true horror movie go watch dabbe 4. This isnt a real movie.
not scary at all, just boring crap
Just watched it. There wasn't a single scare in it. And I liked the 2013 Evil Dead very much, was absolutely expecting to like this one as well, but it's straight up garbage.
Finally a real horror movie 🍿
loved this franchise ever since I was a little kid and I found my parents VHS copy of Evil Dead 2. Even though many people found it comical I was really young and it scared the shit out of me. Army of Darkness was great and I enjoyed the 2013 remake. I can't wait to see this one, the incantation being played aloud in that tone definitely set the mood, love it.
Have you seen the original (1981)? You have to check that one out too.
Did you see the series Ash was in? Ash vs Evil dead I believe it's called.
Army of Darkness seems wacky.
I love how the deadite is portrayed in this movie.
Beyond the comical, they are absolutely merciless and completely devoid of any good.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard about this movie. If the trailer hasn't taken all of the good scenes from the movie, then this for me is a must see in theaters.
"I wasn't sure what to expect " Of course you do: female lead, gay characters, feminism, wahmen empowerment, wokeness all over it. Same old, same old since Trump announced his candidacy in 2015. BTW, I cant see a single black person in this trailer. Therefore, they failed at being woke.
@@Jucelegario What are u going on about
I think even if they showed most of the good scenes here, it's still different when you watch it in full length like what they did with the 2013 remake.
@@cherryvalentine9117 there is no wokeness in this trash. Riiiiiiight.
this trailer is an anti poc trailer. Not a single Floyd and or Laquisha on sight. Just awful.
The Evil Dead use to be the most horrifying movie when I watched it during my childhood days. I am really excited to see what's going to come after so many years now
Watch terrifier 2.
If that movie had come out 30 years ago it would have been devastating.
All the evil dead and terrifier 1 and 2 are my number 1.
Ash and Art are the shit.
@@Blastsbeatstilldeath Thanks bro I shall check it out
@Gaurav Lama If you have a weak stomach get a vomit bag.
The reason I love E.D. And Terrifier is because they don't use C.G.I. it's all special effect and make up. So much m9re real lookin.
I will warn you once you watch Terrifier 2 it will ruin all horror movies for you. NOTHING COMES CLOSE to that movie. Cheers.
@@Blastsbeatstilldeath you are hyping it way too much.

I'm a horror lover and 2013 remake is my favorite horror movie. The scene when he removes the broken injection needle still terrifies me now they come up with another the broken glass gulping 1:46
Iueah totally agrees with u i kept remembering the scenes in the ending
Specially the part when miia says the hard cord line saying "suck on this MF" n cut abomination from the head all the way down vertically...
Let go!!!! Finally, a good horror movie. Can’t wait 😦
Barbarian ruled!
Been plenty over the last year, lmao.
Bro there has been tons of ORIGINAL horror films this year. I’ll watch this but it’s just piggy backing off of the name.. I mean look how shitty the necronomicon looks. Plus all female led🙄 they turned the Ash character into a female in 2013 but god damn… just completely erase men from a franchise that was started by two men and $10,000 with a male lead( one of the greatest protagonist ls ever). It’s whatever I’m sure I’ll be attacked for saying that but idgaf. Should’ve just called it something else.
