Looks like an enormous amount of gear to me. My wife and i camp out of our 429 tinny with a tent we can stand in, 2 chairs and a table plus all the cooking gear and all of that fits up the front. Still have plenty of room to walk around when fishing. We camp off a motorcycle also so know how to keep the weight and bulk down.
Thanks Jack. I was thinking of getting a new sounder so if that happens you will see a lot of the wiring. Other wise I have a USB install video which shows a bit of the wiring.
Cheers mate that’s a great video and very helpful. Pretty sure I asked for a video like this 😂😂 it seems like a question I would ask. Makes a overnighter more realistic knowing what to take to start with. Your a legend hope your next trip out is a good one!
Hi Rob thanks for the sub. I definitely enjoy getting out in the bay. I was supposed to be on a trip right now but cyclone Seth put an end to that unfortunately. Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm out again. Cheers Shannon
Great vid mate. I think it’s always good to see what fellow tinnie people take out with them. Watching your vids always makes me keen to get out there again. Safe travels Champion 😃👍

That’s awesome mate. You will be able to have some mad adventures in that. I hope to organise a camping weekend at the Pin at some point for anyone that wants to come so keep an eye out for that. 🍻

Hey, great video and makes me think of things I need to add to my boat for camping trips. What clothing do you prefer to wear for sun protection? I'm pretty sure I noticed that you wear Columbia PFG. Looking forward to the trip video mate, cheers
Thanks mate. Generally I wear a shimano or Diawa fishing shirt. I do like those Columbia pants that have the zip off legs as they can be shorts or long pants and they have lots of pockets.
Mate once again a sensational video..... I’m planning a trip to straddie in the coming weeks fingers crossed. A few things I hadn’t thought about that u mentioned.... who done the welding for your front cast deck frame??
Thanks mate. I had the casting deck frame and the bow mount plate done by and engineering company in Hervey Bay. Sorry but can’t remember the name of the business.
@@AusAdventure yeah I did suggest this kinda vid 👍. Sounds a few people have asked similar. Good to see other’s set ups & going by the comments, the video is well received 🤙 Cheers legend 🍻🎣

Hi mate just found out I need another surgery on my ankle so will be out of action for a little while again which sucks. Glad the vid was helpful. That is the only esky I take even on a longer trip. I store my camera gear in a smaller pelican case. I probably could have shown that but most people wouldn’t carry around the camera gear like I do. 🍻

Not sure if you mean about the video or my boat set up so I’ll answer both. I did forget to talk about a couple of things that I take every time which is a folding shovel, a head torch and a Leatherman multi tool. In relation to the boat I wish I had a small console in which I had a place out of the weather where I could charge things like my phone and go pros. Also I wished it had a plumbed live bait tank. I’m pretty happy with the camping gear though. Thanks for watching and the question.
Mate in certain situations like crossing some coastal bars or in rough weather I have the bag out right next to me so it’s easy to access. But otherwise I want all my safety equipment in the one place and I am comfortable with it all under the casting deck. From my experience in a lot of emergencies like a capsize or collision there is not enough time to grab anything so people usually have to swim under the capsized vessel to retrieve the Epirb and safety gear. In a perfect world I would like it all stored in a Lifecell on a float free cradle but they take up a lot of room. Hope that explains why I do it that way. Thanks for watching.
Looks like you got it sussed mate, always enjoy watching your vids 👍. How Do you find your camping spots? Do you just play it by ear, im keen to do some camping trips myself im on Northside of Brisbane so just knowing whete to go is the tricky bit. Factoring in tides current weather.cheers 👍

Hi mate thanks for watching the vids. I do still like the position of my rod holders however since installing the bimini it has made it a little more difficult to get them in and out. But I can’t think of a better spot to put them. Hope that helps. 🍻
@@AusAdventure hey mate, great vid. What brand are your rod holders? Are they slip on or welded on? Looking for a way to store my 4 rods vertically on my tinny. Cheers
@@tomnz3620 sorry mate but not sure what brand they are. Got them 10 years ago. I just looked for ones that have rubber on them to protect the rods. I have riveted it to the side pocket.
Thanks mate. Well that depends on a lot of things like wind and sea conditions, how much weight is in the boat etc. On average it lasts a couple of days but if I use it all day it more like one day. I recently upgraded the battery to lithium and that doubled the run time and halved its weight so I would definitely recommend a lithium battery.
It would be amazing if you could create an Excel list of all of your gear! (Otherwise I have to create it by stopping and starting your video) :-) Thanks, Ian

Surely you wouldn’t leave the Epirb in the grab bag under the casting deck while in the boat, like mine in close east reach invade of an emergency!
