- Nath and Dan give a more detailed review on their trusty tinny that they tow all over the top end of Australia, The Stessco Tripper. This boat has been featured in many episodes to date with a lot of information included but today the boys dedicate an hour or so to answering a few of your questions.

Safety Gear. Saw the L jackets flares and epirb - where are the paddles, would be worthwhile putting in a small bilge pumps since you cant get to the bilge with a bucket, and you have a battery. Tinnies can crack unexpectedly and leak.
I cant tell you, just how perfect this was! Im about to be made redundant from day job, due to COVID. Ive decided i want to spend a Year, just traveling Australia, with a 4WD, and a Boat. Ive live most states, and at 15, i was CATCHING CROCS in the NT, however, i dont know alot about fishing boats. My Father is a Mechanics, so, car wise, im confident, BUT, Boat wise....i would have gone overboard. (My mate runs a Fishing Tour in the NT, and lent me his Boat (personal boat not tour boat) and 4wd. (Corroboree Creek we did few days, and well.) However, my next/this year, ill be on my own. I thought i needed a like 50hp motor+ 4mtr type setup. Yet, you guys, wow. YOU really helped me.
Glad we were able to help mate. Sorry about your job... but it could be a blessing to allow you to travel Australia and explore. 👌🏼. We can’t recommend exploring in crocodile country in a small boat like ours obviously for safety reasons but we love it! Goodluck mate, have a great trip.

Nice setup boys, never seen the bow done like that B4, good job.
Thanks mate, it works a treat
What charging system did you use to charge your auxiliary battery, besides the solar.
seriously guys that is the best set up on a tinny hands down
Thanks mate, that's so cool to hear. We put alot of effort into planning out our boats to suit our adventures perfectly.
Nice episode guys. I spent a few days in the Murray river in NSW/VIC on a 10m trailerable river boat. It had a displacement hull with a draft of 20cm. Not quite as low as the tinny obviously but perhaps something in between would suit you guys. Perhaps on a slightly larger boat you could attach a winch. That way you could pull yourselves through the difficult sections but still cruise around safely most of the time. Just a thought, look forward to seeing whatever you get in the future.
Thats an idea Floyd. A winch would get the job done a lot easier and with less whinging! sounds like a cool boat you have there. I just saw the pics you sent on Instagram.
Top stuff again fellas. Mint drone footage 👌🏻
Thanks Muitube, Dan goes alright on the drone hey!
Looking at a 3.2 proline for me and my dog. Can’t wait!
Good on you Randy, you'll have a ball in it
@@WildReaches thanks mate. Love the channel and the travel vlogs. I’m down in the sunny coast and have to venture up one day!
Just a quick question, after using a hole to cut those pvc rod holes, what did you use to cut the foam right through?
A lot of the time those foam blocks stop short of the gunnels. Enough to slip a pipe through. I can’t remember running into any issues there. I’m about to do new tinny build over Christmas tho so make sure you check that out.
@@WildReaches yeah ok, thought a reciprocating saw might have been used but will definitely check out the new build
Nice video mate, I like fishing but I’ve never use boat before just wondering is it easy to Setup by myself or I need someone to help?
You Might add a Paddle they are useful fore paddling and pushing off. A little useful when your engine is acting up. Look up some dry bags fore cloths, sleeping bags, electronics and food. With food it helps to keep the animals from your food. They can't smell it as much. Keep up the good work. :)
Thanks mate. We're a big fan of paddles, we always have a couple in the stern compartment. The dry bags are a good idea for food, we use them for clothes and camera equipment but not for food. Thanks for the idea mate and for watching.
@@WildReaches Cool. :)
In Canada we also use food safe barrels with metal bands that seal that are water proof.
@@zzlee14 Sounds good!
Had a idea for storage at the back, u could make a draw system using xtm draws from bcf or titan draws from 4wd supacetre
Awesome!!! How do you guys go about max weight onboard? All boats limit carry on weight for safety, how many kilos u think u have added in the fitout?
Thanks mate, that's a good point that iv added to the latest tinny review coming soon because young fellas fitting out their tinnies need to be aware of this. We've added approximately 20kg and the Stessco Tripper is allowed to carry 300kg or 4 people. We carry 3 people max now just to be safe but the majority of the time its just Dan and I
Most underrated Chanel ??
Thanks Archie! we are trying to get the channel out there. We have some great sponsors on board now which should help and we really appreciate all the sharing from our viewers here and on instagram.
Hi mate are you able to give a budget for your trips
Hey guys!! Just wondering what the anchor weight you use is called? We are looking at getting one for our tinny! :) Cheers, love your content
Or did you just make the "Plonk"?
It must have the edge tracker bottom very stable
Yeah so stable mate. Love it
Love the boat
Thanks mate, so do we. Such a good, trusty little boat. And its caught us soooo many fish and allowed us soooo many experiences. Cant recommend a good little tinny highly enough.
Hey mate. I’m looking to buy a 3.7-4.2 boat second hand.. would you recommend a 3.7 like yours? What type of fishing do you do in it and how far do you take it?
We push this little 3.7 harder than what they probably should be so I don’t recommend doing what we do. They epic little hills for the creeks and a bit of coastal stuff but you wouldn’t want to get caught out wide in one. Even in a 4.2m you could get caught out. It all depends what Fishing you want to do and how many people you want on board. Unfortunately you have to compromise somewhere. The bigger boats you can’t drag over rock bars and logs up the creek but you can go out wide and then vice versa... hope that helps Jarrad
Cheers for the reply mate. Just got a 4.2m quintrex dory wide body. Can’t wait to take it out

Was the battery a deep cycle?
Yeah mate, 45ah age Deep cycle
Hi bro! New friend here! Nice mods! Impressive little boat! Good to see the stability!
GDay mate, thanks heaps. Such a solid little boat
@@WildReaches I like to have that little guy!
hey mate how big is ur tinny and what hp motor is on the back awesome vid
Hey Ben, Its a 3.7m Stessco Tripper with a 15 HP two stroke Mercury donk. Thanks mate
same outbard 11.5 fóot tug boat cabin çrusrr
Nice boat
Thanks
Hi,would the boat be more stable with the fit out or with out it?
I am no expert and would be interested in the results of a stability test but in my opinion it is more stable now with the extra weight down low and evenly spread over the boat. It is a very stable boat as you can see in our videos with Dan and I jumping around. Im sure it has lost some of its other qualities like speed getting to plane with the extra weight but its perfect for just Dan and I.
How big is your boat mate?
edited: Haha just started the vid silly me
You need a good Bimini mate
Not a big fan of biminis, they just get in the way. Love the shade though... 🧐
Do u have a little fish bin in the boat?
Yeah Archie, we use a big bucket in the starboard stern compartment.
class setup
Thanks mate.Its so practical.
Where is the boat? We only saw you faces.
top vid boys!
THANKS MATE!
