    Hey!! I am from Spain and I just wanted to point out "guiri" isn't pronounced with a "j" it is more a less like "qiri"

      It's a soft g like in garden
      It generally means some tourist with money and no or little knowledge of Spanish so they tend to get higher prices and they are also an easy target for thieves

    "tomar el pelo" is literally the cleaner, Spanish version of "taking the piss", commonly used in the UK and Aus. So as an Australian this one makes perfect sense to me.

    Gringo it was coined in México in the mid 1800, we used for americans from USA specifically. Not any foreigner.

      Also in "guiri" the "g" isn't pronounced like in the word "jirafa" but like you pronounce the word "gato".

    Nice vid. A couple of things: Vale is not slang but common use. And guiri is not pronounced "hiri" but "giri" as in guitar or guild.

      Actually guiri is pronounced "giri" in catalan but in spanish is "hiri"

    No Brasil, também se usa "tio" e "tia", mas para se referir a pessoas de mais idade. É uma forma mais utilizada por jovens e menos formal, ao invés de utilizar "senhor" e "senhora".

      Também se usa tio em tom de ironia ou deboche, ao menos em São Paulo, capital. Exemplos:
      - Cê é louco, tio!
      - O tio ali tá viajando...
      - Não é assim não, tio!

    Grateful for the video ❤️. Only frustrating thing was the terms that had the vulgar words ... They were bleeped out and also not spelled out... Not that I HAVE to KNOW those haha 😆 but why have them on here when we can't hear or see the phrase anyways haha ... Besides that, mucho gusto ha

    I’m so interested in languages and learning spanish now. I know basis grammar, but i don’t use it. Sometimes i practise spanish on my own, but it’s really boring and demotived, because i just can use the vocabs i know, when people ask me st, i don’t have enough vocab to understand and response them... how do you learn a language at home? And how much time do you spend on it? Thanksssss so much!!!!

      I'm hosting a Spanish language course for beginners this summer. You should check it out in the description box! I have many videos where I explain how I learn exactly. I don't do it the conventional way by studying hours at home. I simply practice with music, movies and talking to friends.
