  • In an unassuming building in Galliano, Louisiana, Alzina Toups makes some of the best food you’ll ever eat. But while her Jambalaya, fried shrimp and other garlic-laden Cajun staples are sure to bless your tongue and break your heart, they aren’t so easy to come by. Alzina doesn’t take walk-ins, and reservations-which book up a year in advance-can only be made by reaching her by landline.

      We all serve a God. Ask where your time, energy, mind, body, and soul go to, who or what do you serve and why.
      Can what you experience and what you see be claimed as real? Do I exist? Do you only see what is real or do you question the reality you see itself.
      I see complex biological life and complex chemical compositions in a complex space, along with universal truths. To me this is proof enough, I see a watch...was the watch created? I see a rock...was the rock created? Complex reality cant be explained without a creator. Cause and effect, the answer to how but not why.
      Trust in God and devotion to his ways is a path to peace and understanding. As for what to trust and what to understand, you'll hear it if you listen, its etched into your heart. The problem is not listening, seeking, or understanding.

      Lol, what kind of people do you choose to be your friends out of the millions of people on this earth.
      Some Gods ask for you to sacrifice human life, to kill if you dont worship, to conquer lands in his name. Will you serve that God?
      Do you want me to hold your hand and choose your religion? Some religions ask that you treat others the way you like to be treated, love thy neighbor, honor your parents? Does that sound like something you should do. Religion has a set of rules and beliefs, study both and discover answers to why. The teachings of God will lead you to discover who is God. Then you serve as a creation of God.

    I'm of Acadian background (Northern Cajun's) The food is a slight different and the culture But both have wonderful things to share We have many Native Canadian twist foods and slangs Cajuns have River / Seafood and a kick of spice that dates back to the carribean and Africa ..In the east coast of Canada There is a place in Nova Scotia You can camp out at night drinking beer And eat clams fresh from the beach not 300 ft away while you lay back and look up at the thousands of stars so clear We seen satellites moving across the sky. With the ocean sounding off the shoreline.. Next morning you jump in the car And head over to the local bakery Everything hand made The coffee was pretty good But the baked goods were a top notch Swiss milk chocolate donuts was tossed cocoa powder we sat on the bench and watched smile after smile and widened eyes at first bite
    I can only wonder what the jambalaya is like at her place It's places like these that don't lose the touch by bottling and mass sales

      The cuisine of Cajuns is a mixture of influences from themselves and from other peoples that settled Louisiana. Cajuns are of Acadian ancestry, but the food and culture of Cajuns is multicultural just like the rest of Louisiana. The influence in the food is Acadian, French, Spanish, German, African, Caribbean and Native American.

    • @freakyflow
      @freakyflow 4 роки тому

      @@IslenoGutierrez As do the Acadians In Canada, Being well know Canada its self is big on multicultural homestead But you have pockets of Acadian And Metis, Native, Irish, Scotish, English,French Dutch, And deeper into the heart of Canada Ukrainian, Amish/mennonites German.. French Canadian pea soup, tourtiere, Sugar pie. To cabbage rolls And Moose/pork/beef sauages We are into thick heavy foods for winters hearty sauces and gravies for stews Not every well known for spices As to the Cajuns Or to the spanish greatness of foods

    • @IslenoGutierrez
      @IslenoGutierrez 4 роки тому +1

      @@freakyflow Yes, but the Acadians that arrived in Louisiana came in the 1700’s before there was all of that vast multiculturalism in that part of Canada you speak of and they brought influences to Louisiana that was primarily of Acadian French based origin. It was this that mixed with the other influences in Louisiana to create modern day south Louisiana cuisine (which is mistakingly called Cajun, because it’s not only Cajuns that cook it, eat it and created it).
