Thank you to all the immigrants in London for all of your hard work and contribution to the food scene. If it weren't for you all, everyone would still be eating jellied eels.
being a Londoner my entire life I can tell you one thing, we have amazing food, none of which is ours. Because London is so multicultural, you will get the culture of London but your mouth will travel the world
Visited London last December. Loved it! Came back with few extra pounds😁 Too bad didn't know about these places, especially the jianbing one, it's probably my favorite Chinese food. I hope all these places will survive the pandemic and will bring more joy to londoners and guests.
I love FUSION CUISINE! Those 5 stories are about being proud of each of those cooks' cultures. They've elevated food from their respective Motherlands to something even more sophisticated. Amazing!
Can you imagine the world, especially the big cities, without immigration (as some of those old sods want)? How boring food would be? How wonderful that in the same city you can walk and find some oddly fantastic colombian fusion dish, a brazilian/amazonian flatbread, a chinese crepe, an indian burger, whacky greek-mexican fries and who knows what else?! Now I'm sad I don't live in one of those big cities and our food is boring.😂...and I'm hungry😅
It's also good to make the distinction between the people that don't want immigration and the people who don't want illegal immigration and unfair advantages over British born citizens. This was not a conversation I anticipated coming to this video lol.
@Fardin Ahsan Dude, my comment wasn't that deep. I was merely talking about the variety of foods and extreme anti-immigration opponents (i.e. to have none at all). Immigration is a more nuanced topic obviously and it's impossible to generalize as each country has different policies and history with it. As for the backlash you mention, that wasn't as much about teaching kids about not discriminating against gays (things that have long been mentioned in UK education for quite some time), but about the new 'No Outsiders' materials being introduced which isn't about 'don't discriminate gays' but is downright indoctrination on the anti-scientific gender ideology nonsense pushing the trans ID thing to extremes (including literally false info on the protected categories in the Equalities Act) and a lot of other very disturbing ideas about 'breaking the notions of kids as nonsexual beings and seeing them instead as sexual being to engage with teachers' (I wish I were kidding, this is the shit the guy who wrote that material is putting in there..and he was a teacher! creepster vibes to the max). I didn't understand what the fuss was about when they reported it in the news as I support gay rights 100% and am gay myself, then I took the time to revise the material and then read a very thorough analysis of it that was published a couple of weeks ago and it's insane. I would've protested too and would be picketing parliament until they removed that crap from all schools, if I could. It's not a muslim thing, that they are being conservative or whatever, it's the disturbing nature of the material itself. I can't believe no one reviewed that garbage before they pushed it into schools.
randomm User1237589 plus immigration has its cons.It can lead to a minority in the natives.Illegal drug dealers and Terrorist can sneak militants in.It can lead to clashing religions. It can lead to clashing political views. In a very rare situations it can let extremists in a country to sabatoge or kill natives.Whilst I do not believe in a complete cut off of immigration to much immigration can lead to conflict.
Such a lovely mixture of foods, cultures and accents! Loved the video, the editing and the passion that each of the cooks showed when presenting their creations!

There is so many awsome foods and international cuisine in aus. What are you talking about
Unique stuff! Go London, good job GBStory, and Kisses to the Chefs
Fix title it should say London, not New York.
The background sound is amazing.
2:13 "your choice of meat

Vegan : "am i a joke to you?"
Yes.
@@oSJmee lmao.
Wow. If that doesn't all look fantastic.
The wonders of globalization
No just No, when I go to Japan I want it to feel like I'm going to Japan and expect to see Japanese culture. But you'll more than get your "globalization" give it 20 years when different groups wonna break up your country.
I live in London and have eaten at a good few of the markets, my personal favourite is Big Bao at Leather Lane market. There are some other Bao spots in London which are better known, but this takes the cake in my opinion. Can't recommend it highly enough, and everyone I know who's tried says exactly the same.
Why is a NYC video filled with London cuisine? Is this the twilight zone or something?
I love all of them 😍Now I should pay a visit to London which I haven’t been for ages
Let me show you some "British" cuisine.
So, first we have this... American, uh.. burger... with a little bit of uh... Indian...in it?
Britain colonized most of the planet lmao. Of course they’re former colonies U.S.A and India is in there cuisine.
@@trolololololololololololol6124 makes sense
@@trolololololololololololol6124 the burger wasnt even invented in america, nor did it even exist when america was a british colony.
@@Big-Chungus21 every street in England has a fried chicken store named after a state like Tennessee, Kentucky, ecs
@@trolololololololololololol6124 since when? Have you been to england? Ive literally never seen a restuarant like that other than... kfc, which is literally the companies name. Also american cuisine isnt a part of our cuisine. British cuisine is a part of american cuisine. Apple pie for instance, was mostly invented in england. American cuisine is literally just getting german, british and italian food and claiming it as your own. Nobody calls curry ‘british food’, in the uk we refer to food like curry as ‘indian’, burgers arnt ‘german’ in the us.
ALL OF THEM PLEASE!
British people are know for their bad food and bad cooking skills but let me tell you something, I’ve lived in London and I absolutely love the street food markets, they sell the most delicious and incredible foods ever!! Next time I will definitely try out these places
Interesting 🤣, nice too meet you
*a stereotype of British people is that they have bad food...
@@formzino they don’t anymore
