Thank you! I’m currently working on the Super Nintendo list. I love 16-bit games, and I’m aiming to finish it in time since both videos are connected and focus on Halloween-themed games. I also plan to create a list of horror games that aren’t directly tied to Halloween, so stay tuned! 🎃🎮👻
Good question lol ... I guess he's trying to grab the witch ... or wait... maybe it isn't him 🤔 spoiler 🙈 oops 🤫 hold on until you see the next video's thumbnail 👻 I'm still working on it 🎃🎃🎃
Great Video, however... As a Sega Fanboy in the late 80s, early 90s, Chakan is so bad that I would argue is contributed more to Sega's downfall than the underappreciated 32X and over-hyped Saturn. I put Chakan right there with Atari's ET as the Worst of All Time, and one that brought down an empire. Rose tinted Retro glasses have altered the reality of that game. In period, it was hated and rightfully so, and was brought up as an unarguable example of how Nintendo was better than Sega. Again, I was a Sega fanboy, but when the whole culture decided that this Piece of Crap was what Sega stood behind was the moment I knew Sega was doomed. Trust me, anyone born between 1975 and 1990 could no longer defend Sega after this was released...... the Schoolyard debate was over when anyone brought this up.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Chakan. You definitely have a strong opinion about this controversial game! Chakan is definitely not for everyone, and I’m not a fan of this game either. However, I really like its dark atmosphere and mysterious music, which makes it a perfect fit for this list. That said, the mechanics, gameplay, and overall execution could have been much better, especially given the reputation of the publisher... It feels like this game was made just to turn a quick profit, with minimal effort in its development. Additionally, the brutally high difficulty seems to be a response to concerns about rental stores or cartridge capacity limitations, likely aimed at extending playtime (a common practice among SEGA developers at the time) 🤷♂️
Great playlist. I've been compiling a list of spooky retro games to play during Halloween. 👀
