No base building = almost always looking at the army = fast battle is fine Base building exists = sometimes looking away from the army = slow battle is preferred Being fast is probably fine for this game.
Game looks good, people saying it looks "arcadey" is a huge compliment. I spent 95% of my blizzard rts time playing custom games. Hope we dont have to wait 5 years to play it
I figured people were overstating a bit how fast this is. But holy hell, it's unbelievably fast. I guess time will tell if that's good or not. This is almost like speed SC2. I'm super interested to see how people react to this. In terms of a viewing experience, there's certainly something to be said about getting out several BO3's in an hour.
Pretty cool! I hope there are a few units that make positioning important, and others that make you want to split or spread out your army for more than harassment. I would also like the unit speech audio to be turned down for these casts. 🙏
How does the resource income work? There should be some way to choose whether you want to prioritise red or blue resources (similar to whether you take 0, 1 or 2 gases in starcraft 2).
Map design needs.a bit of work, feels very flat and mostly a question of funnelling since there doesn't seem to be any high or low ground, or different types of terrain.
When I saw the sick anime trailer I was all in. Then I saw that the actual graphics are a mix of Stormgate and ZeroSpace except more washed out and less inspired, then gameplay is just Micro Wars and the interest went basically to zero. Between Battle Aces, Stormgate, and ZeroSpace, I choose the SC1+SC2 mod for most promising new RTS.
1. This looks more like an auto-battler with real time controls than an RTS. Removing base-building does not nessesarily make the game better. Call it Action Real Time Battler or something. 2. Just like with ZeroSpace and Stormgate everything looks the same and blends together. It seems like modern RTS attempts do not take into account unit recognition. Those shilouettes should pop and it should be instantly clear which unit is where, what it does and how. The lessons from SC2, BroodWar WC3, 2 and 1, hell even all the way back to the original C&C games and Dune 2 are not looking to have been learned. Destilling the essence of a unit to be intantly recognizable at a glance. That is what is missing from the new crop of RTS. That's why SCEvo is more popular than these new things.
seriously.. what is this ? we're talking about the guy that was main balance for SC2 worst era of the game, he tried to remove every macro mechanics and put dumb shit in the game like blink dts and oracles. this is absolutly what his mind looks like as an rts, and i sure wont play it lol. You guys expect to have all units available at start or you will have to purchase all of them like it is some sort of dlc.
Yeah, after seeing the unit and faction designs in Zero Space, Stormgate, and now this, I’m realizing how strong the designs were in BW and WC3, and even SC2. So much more character and silhouette variety in those Blizzard games than these newer RTS’s.
Yeah, I think it's ahead of Stormgate, but behind SC2. Not sure how possible it is to get truly distinct units though when you have no races. The theme across all 50+ units is the same - robots with guns. There is only so much variety you can have when it's literally just robots with guns.
?????????????? have I missed some introduction video ? what the heck is this ? what are you talking about ? Update: no man, I just checked out the old videos, there is no such thing as an introduction video on this channel, and how did I miss the explanation of the game on your main channel , weird, no notification as well , so yeah, dunno about posting on multiple channels, hardcore confused
Feels like an RTS fighting game. I like it.

It kind of reminds me of Direct Strike but with micro

This looks really exciting. I love the quick fighting style on it's own merit.
i love the unit design and art style
I like this battle aces. More i see more i like
Is david kim capable of comprehending a concept of gameplay that's not entirely focused on deathblobs?
Pretty cool! I hope there are a few units that make positioning important, and others that make you want to split or spread out your army for more than harassment.

Don't really think more needs to be said than this is pretty much a light casual mobile game
Game looks sick
for the next recordings, i would suggest lowering the units speech volume if possible. Otherwise, good commentary as always!
Tencent detected. Instant "ignore" for me dawg
I hope they create some other ways of playing this game, maybe add some buildings. Seems fun
Map design needs.a bit of work, feels very flat and mostly a question of funnelling since there doesn't seem to be any high or low ground, or different types of terrain.
I really love the design and style of the units and world... not totaly sold on the gameplay though. Is this only a pvp?
Looks cool
More like LoL arena than a rts
Dont you only control 1 hero in LoL and not multiple units?
@@averagetobbe depends on the hero

Is this the david kim rts?

I like the gameplay, but 100% agree on the units part
Tencent, 99% mobile port. This'll be one of those quickly come quickly go games. Not enough depth or substance.
Thanks for the commentary RT. something to keep in mind for the next video: the game audio completely overwhelmed your mic audio :(
this looks sick, no macro all micro
So a moba.

All the units look far too similar to eachother.

I think animations and weapon effects kinda look better then in stormgate tho
