This is going to be such a sick esport. By the way the bombers where way to expensive for what they did.
WAAAAY to 50/50, they need to find the way of bann cards or something, build up your deck in some sort of ban system, otherwise people will complain about the randomness of the picks. Also, once the meta is figured out, all players will use the same two decks.

This is not the kind of game that casuals that just watch games will care about, unlike sc2 in the beginning.
@@heinzerhardt7047 I disagree, the opposite. This game is far more friendly to casual viewers than SC2. Very little macro, just army vs army constant micro intensive action with a built in time limit to keep games from getting too drawn out. You can tell this was designed from the ground up to be a spectator sport RTS.
Too one dimensional, rather boring to watch

Dude, Battle Aces is footmen frenzy as a standalone game! I really like the idea because I loved the micro and units of SC2, but I never liked how tedious unit construction and worker management was. Will definitely keep this on my list as it opens up to more players.

I find this equally as funny as people writing off the new game immediately... Unnecessary and tedious? Interesting label for one of the fundamental aspects of the genre, that exist in all of the most popular examples..... This game looks great by all means, and it does get to the action fast. And you can enjoy that. But it doesn't make every other element of the genre tedious and unnecessary. Just different. And this is ignoring that Sim city and strategic placement and tech development are deep themselves...

i like this rts kind of game if you wanna focus more on combat and duels rather then building and rescource battles this is just plain and simple gameplay and i like it
i've never seen this game before and i don't really play these types of games but this is exciting to watch! just saw the first fight and am loooking forward for round 2! ( rooting for trigger, idk, the red ones look annoying to play against with the kiting ) wohooo amazing content! keep it up!!
Cool to see Clem putting so much stress on Trigger's resources to the point he can't tech up into an answer. I'm also glad I can choose all my units in this game, I can't deal with the stress of pulling the trigger on Gunbot stim vs Blink or faster units.
Crazy how easy it is to get into this game from the perspective of both a player and a spectator.

Ah yes, the huge skill ceiling of an RTS with half the game removed. Absolutely astronomical ceiling compared to, you know, every other full fledged RTS out there...
This is footmen frenzy as a standalone game, and I kinda dig it, all the unit comp strategy and micro requirements of SC2 without all the headache of building individual units

To be honest this is better to watch than SC2. Action all the time, all the time some sick micro, players always fighting. In SC2 first 5-6 minutes almost nothing happening and fights arent common anyways after this. There is a lot of turtling and so on. Sometimes games are shit because somebody cant defend a cheese and that's it. Here every single game is great to watch from start to end. Im pretty sure this game can be bigger than SC2 over time, probably not from the start but after some time - for sure. Stormgate is too simillar and has same problems as SC2, ZeroSpace is good but it's probably even harder to understand for average player. And here even totally newbie understand what is going on, great for e-sport.
SC2 is a great game but you know, it's 14-years old and Blizzard doesn't care and for now Battle Aces is the best title, already a lot of SC2 pros playing this. SC2 will be dead in like 5-10 years but SC2 can lost in term of popularity like in 1-2 years to Battle Aces. This is my prediction as an investor. Everything ends at some point and SC2 already was a greatest RTS of all times, maybe we can get another great title soon.
This have needs an objective mode like capture points to keep it interesting so it isn't just spamming units to the other side of the map

The game looks like its gonna be really good for like 2 weeks. Then there will be a certain deck per race or some meta everyone spams

i think this game is going to be bigger than competitive SC2, a lot more people will watch this,
especially after this you wont be sitting trough 30 minute+ sc2 games...
they need more units, more micro potential and its in the bag
This is SC2 Clem, right? Cuz if so, its really no surprise an SC2 pro is killing at this game.
Watching on mobile - can't read the engagements well at all, but even on mobile I can watch and enjoy SC2 content. I hope they iterate and improve this over time.
It feels like the workers are really frail in this game. Considering you can't move them, it'd be nice for them to have more health, or maybe even scaling health depending on your total tech progress. Watching a single king crab dispatch all those workers in game 5 feels bad.

i madea it to top ace in this game, thats it, i can't beat any of these good players haha. when i play these guys it's insane feels like im casual haha
All pro SC2 players switching to this game should change their names to reflect the dorkier dumb names. Clem >> Clam. Parting >> Farting. Trigger >> Ligger. Reynor >> Geylor. Serral >> Scare-Al

Trigger put up a great showing, but Clem is just so dominant.
Not really. Good on Trigger for trying but this was an abject slaughter and demonstration of a professional vs an enthusiast. The disparity in technical skills was significant.
This game needs draft
Kinda interesting to see that they were completely dodging taking T1 AA. I felt like those AA units at T1 are WEAK (even against the more harassment based air units), and if you know that you're going to tech, and have AA in those tech paths, then yeah, why bother with T1 AA?

The announcement to the enemy for everything you do is dumb. Imagine if in starcraft it told you everytime your enemy went darkshrine early, or whether they were building an early 3rd base... DUMB.
It eliminates some RNG since the strategic decisions are now visible to both players. Now it's closer to chess.
It's almost like it's a whole different game than SC
