    When info started coming out about this game, I was shocked how far along it already was. I think the art design is amazing. The units are cute as hell, and more importantly, they're pretty distinctive for players or viewers. As a mega casual and a certified old man, this is the one upcoming RTS I could actually see myself playing.
    ETA: oh, and that trailer? God damn.

      I mean they've been working on this game for a fair few years and on top of that by some of the most talented devs in the industry. Starcraft 2, Age of Empires, Dawn of War and Deserts of Kharak naming just a few that they've worked on. Got high hopes for this one, so glad I managed to get on the beta.

    Tell me what u think about this. The game is "easy to get in" in the sense that u have way less features/information in the game to learn (base building, builds, worker management, supply management, deciding where to make bases, etc etc).
    However, this means this game is almost purely micro, so it's almost fully mechanics. So if ur not a super clicky micro oriented gamer, you'll just have the experience of hitting play and getting bopped by players with better control. So improving on this game is almost only micro training.
    This seems opposite, for example, as Vibe's philosphy on starcraft bronze to gm (I know this is an entirely different game with a different purpose). This way u have way less expressiveness, cause on other RTS we have players with worse micro, but great macro, or great decision making to compensate their other weakness. In this sense, it's more one dimensional, and this one dimension is mechanical control of super fast units.
    This is just some thoughts! Game looks cool, and I certainly want to try it!

      In either game you get bopped by players with better control, speed and mechanics.
      This game will spawn new kinds of player expression. We’ll see things being done with units that simply wouldn’t be possible in a game like SC where macro tasks demand so much APM.

      @@DjiNNxx7I think thats the point OP was making tho. Since the macro mechanics are so streamlined there isnt a real way to win by out macroing your opponent it will just be purely micro. While yes you will have more apm to focus on micro it still reduces the overall scope of play.

      @@BingusBiggums I get that. What I’m saying is that I expect that loss of expressiveness to be made up for in BA, because I expect it to unlock new levels of player expression in terms of army control.
      But yeah, it’s obviously giving up something to do so and if your preferred route to improvement is macro mechanics, then only a traditional RTS like SC2 will satisfy that
