How to gear in FFXIV Shadowbringers as a fresh level 80. (Veteran or New Player)

FFXIV has such great gear progression compared to WoW... "rolls eyes"
The lack of gear progression has always killed the endgame for me in FFXIV. Nothing has changed over the past decade...You can even go the super lazy route and have a friend make the 510 Exarchic set for you for FREE. You can then spend a day farming allegory which you are already probably capped on and upgrade your 510 gear to 520. Or you can spend weeks farming Revelations tomes for the 520 tome set which can be upgraded to 530, but there's no point in having 530 item level gear. It doesn't make you stronger or better able to clear older content (This is kind of funny). It just makes it so your job will be good until the level 85 dungeon comes out...

Or you can unlock bozja since it sinks to to 430 anyway and have 495 within an hour for free doing stuff you need to do anyway.

Just do your daily roulettes (with the adventurer in need) and you'll have the gil in a week. Or ask an FC member to make the gear for you. You can get a full set for free if you know some helpful people.
