A step by step guide to going about getting the Eureka armor from Pyros into Hydatos would be nice. I know I could probably look it up myself. But I'm lazy, and would like watching a guide instead of reading it. Lol
As far as Eureka goes, unless it's going to continue on in 5.0 I can't recommended investing in int, and without a level sync function I won't spend much time in the content to hit level 60.
I have returned to ffxiv and this is exactly what I needed to help get my head around the different progression mechanics and destinations! Great work! Wonderfully done!
This was quite helpful. I’m quite new and have just been doing daily roulette’s to gain tokens and buy gear and have just gotten my average ilvl to 360. Unlocking all the dungeons and raids was the biggest challenge as it’s not always clear what you unlock with sidequests so a guide to unlocking all dungeons and raids might be helpfull to new players(currently a lot of wow players are looking for another mmo so they might end up in ffxiv same way i did a couple of months ago)
That being said gearing now is just for the glamour or if you really want to do the high-end content for whatever reason. Because launch Shadowbringers you can buy nearly as good gear from the vendor, and all level 70 gear will be pretty much obsolete on level 80 characters. All this work for 400 gear will be pretty much useless in a few weeks after SB or less. It's up to you if you want to do this for the looks or not. That's really the main reason at this point. Personally, I'm just going to work on my GC rank lol. This is still a really good guide though, don't get me wrong.
Dragonspheres I’m glad you put this in perspective. No disrespect to the guide or UA-camr but the grind for a lot in this game is long as hell, lol and there’s so much to do it can be overwhelming.
@@ninethemagician3479 Thanks, I do think it needed to be said. Some people may think the grind is needed for SB but in reality, it's not, just finish your MSQ and in SB that's when you should grind so you don't waste your time grinding on the gear in Stormblood that will become obsolete this summer. Hence, only do it for glamour. Like you said this lessen the things you 'need' to do now.
Another tip is that you can pick up another hunting set in Foundation, ranks 1 through 3 plus the weekly so another daily 200 tokens and another 100 for the weekly.
Thank you and I’d just like to say that I’m pretty new to the channel but your content has inspired me to start making my own ffxiv content I work a lot same as you do UA-cam will be a side thing maybe a collab in the future once things are up and running Keep up the good work
Welcome back Zaon! Glad you're returning and I Hope you have a blast and are able to get caught up. Shadowbringers really looks to be a very impressive expansion. :)
I’m not a hardcore gamer but doing casual runs & hunts every week - I can use the 3 coins to upgrade my gear from 390 to 400 & peerless clan marks to upgrade my accessories. So about 2 upgrades (ilvl 400) a week works for me...
The cap won't be removed completely, it will be raised to 900 for the last month or so before Shadowbringers. I'm hoping Poetics won't replace Mendacity and Genesis but that's just me. While on the topic of gear you forgot to mention that hunts in Heavensward can help with the 310 and 330/340 gear since Centurio Seals are gained there too.
It probably will replace Mendacity. Poetics was originally for lvl50 cap before HW. HW's tomes ( Scripture, Lore, Esotetrics) were all dropped following SB. I would imagine they would nuke the SB tomes in a similar fashion in order to avoid currency bloat. Old tomestone gear became rewards from MSQs and Poetics was changed to drop from 50 & 60 dungeons and raids. From a new players perspective, this is less daunting as you can earn poetics to gear up for 50, 60 and soon, 70 content.

I make sure my hud is clean and organized and minimal but your hotbar is really nice! ive been trying to move the party list someplace esee cuz i hate staring in the corner of the screen but im not sure what would look good.
I still don't understand why gearing up so hard is necessary. When the new expansion drops the gear from quests alone will be better then most of the stuff farmed at the end of stormblood.
I don't understand why people playing the game is so necessary, like why do people progress their character in an RPG when it's just gonna be replaced in 2 years when the next expac comes out like lol
@@ces4621 hmm good point, as a casual who's coming back for shadowbringers it's better for me to wait for the expansion quest instead of painfully grinding to bridge my ilvl gap. Thanks and ignore the idiots like zstan123
@@zstan123 Yeah, I'm probably considered casual even though I play a lot. I don't play any of the really hard content though. So once I have the gear necessary to hit the ilvl requirement needed for whatever dungeon/trial/raid I want, it's all about glamour. Like you said, after July, having ilvl 400+ gear is not going to be that important anymore so the only relevant gear for me will be the stuff that looks cool. And before anyone replies with "it'll make leveling easier," yes, I guess. I mean, you'll get the quest rewards so you can sell those and make gil if you're already geared or use the quest rewards for other jobs. But even then, that'll only last for the first 4-6 levels. Besides, you can get the full set day 1 of Shadowbringers with poetics (if you're capped) and still sell the quest rewards. So what's easier? Going through a 7+ week grind to get the top gear that will be soon be obsolete or just banking poetics from your roulettes and getting that same gear on day 1? Some will go with A, some B, and some will sprinkle a little of both.
To actually answer your question...You'll have to finish the MSQ to start the new content when it launches. That requires you to finish some raids and dungeons that have a relatively high ilvl requirement to enter. You'll need to be around 360 at least to finish 4.5 before 5.0 launches
