There's soft singing, screaming, growling, high notes and some lalalas... I mean what more can you want? Einar is on top of his game. And the fact that they started song with bass.. I'm listening it on repeat for a while now.
@@Aenigmakil they absolutely weren't, Pitfalls and Aphelion are their best albums so far, so much more subtle and refined than their metal albums. And I say this while being a fan of all of their albums.
@@fynii9478fair, you like softer, more simplistic stuff. So this is a debate neither will ever submit to. I like every Leprous album but their metal is more unique, rounded, roomy and special to me.

I love just knowing that there are great bands out there I've never heard of... and then even better - finding them. Your comment pulled me in. What a song.
Saw this live last night in HOT Mesa Arizona! They were simply perfect live!!! I was so happy they did this song…it’s become a fast favorite off this new album…but make no mistake,ALL their songs are genius and they play them live to perfection!!!! The real deal! Please comeback in the winter…perfect here in Az. We need to fill Celebrity Theatre next time! AZ fans….start spreading the word about this amazing band!🤘
I spent the first minute wondering how the pyrotechnics in the thumbnail would go with Baard's minimalist kit, and the second minute grateful my fever is now cured. And then everything exploded, Mr Kolstad got his usual complement of things to whack, and I'll be singing LALALA for weeks. Nice work, guys...
Thanks so much for the recommendation!! It is a great song; the music is amazing, vocals gave me goosebumps...lol!!! Love it...I am totally hooked!!!@roberttadina2264
Sends shivers down the spine. The attention to detail in all their songs is amazing. Pure gold from start to finish and I mean their discography, not only this song.
I literally just came from a periphery vid where they were doing the same. Next time I see an abandoned warehouse I better check it for unattended metal bands.
I think this is what makes me appreciate them more than any other band out there. They don't like to stick to one particular genre or be labeled as one. What they write is for the benefit of their art and what they like.
Besides having an otherwordly voice, Einar also has such a presence/intensity in his performances. That's why he is one of my all time favourite vocalists.
Jammed this straight 7 times, paused to comment. Holy fuck balls this is incredible…. Just fucking incredible. The lalalala over the breakdown is something only these boys can do. EXCEPTIONAL 😮
I just jagged a ticket for the Solo show at Max Watts in Melbourne in November. I recently saw Tesseract and they blew my mind, so looking to see how Leprous stack up. Max Watts will be a cracking venue for the band.
this is the most "different from the rest of their discography" song ever. even beating out waste of air and I lose hope... I need a few hours to digest what I have just witnessed
This Drummer though....laid back as F>>K. This may well be the first incarnation of Trip Metal. Groove Orientation is strong with these guys. The death star is lining up to destroy a planet, the windows are down and the suspension is bouncing. Serious Aladdin Lawrence of Arabia here.,
Not a key change, just a different chord progression, but yes, it does sound pretty damn good! 😁 I believe they're going to the bVI chord, which is why it sounds more "major"
This is fucking fantastic. Growls, high notes, that heavy section. This shit is so awesome to see return, as much as I dont mind Malina-Aphelion Leprous, I love seeing things get kicked into such high gear again!
So basically, old Leprous is back, old Opeth is back, and Portnoy is back to DT. What a freaking year for prog metal
and we're getting a new Hevy Devy album this fall as well
Sounds like the making of an excellent festival lineup
old Leprous? 🤣 Did you start listening at Pitfalls?
@@alwaysabiggafish3305 and what about it ? Would that be wrong ?
Exactly my thoughts. And you just know the new DT album will be the best in a while too. This is an IMMENSE moment in prog!
There's soft singing, screaming, growling, high notes and some lalalas... I mean what more can you want? Einar is on top of his game. And the fact that they started song with bass.. I'm listening it on repeat for a while now.
Mother of all that is heavy and mellow
Last time i heard somenthing like that it was "Disruptor" by Devin Townsend Project! Another banger track too
We went from “AAAAAaaaAAaaAAAAaAaAA” to “Lalalalala” and I’m so here for it. 🤘🏽
hahahah you are so right :D
This song will be epic performed live. Can you imagine the entire audience singing along with the La la la parts?
😂😂😂 indeed.
Hell yeah😂❤
La la la like it Sorry had to
That note Einar hit near the end was insane! Songs like this is why Leprous is one of my all time favourite bands.
Einar has one of the biggest vocal ranges known to man.
Who else repeated that scream like a gazillion times ? That was epic!!! My favorite song so far. Love it.
ABSOLUTELY FILTHY GOODNESS.
THE BEST
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Me! This song, the way it's constructed, the sneaky unexpected build-up, it's like it speaks to me.
Without the LALALALA shit would be perfect
YESSSSSSSSSS Leprous is back on the menu boys.
As if they had ever left
@@fynii9478they didn't leave but they were undercooked in their metal absent years.

Making the lalalalala metal as f***.
Baard's is growing into one of the most tasteful drummers in the whole of prog. What a time to be alive!
Dream Theater with Mike Portnoy, Opeth and Leprous with growls. What a year it is for progmetal fans.
Vola return.
I love how we're all excited for the same three things! Also, Ihsahn just released his best album. Ever.
@@AenigmakilAnd Myrath dropped their album too 😊
@@methylithium3dude I never heard of Myrath until today, thank you 🙏
Only missing the new single from Devin townsend
"Lalalalalala"-ing over a freaking breakdown! Only Leprous can pull off something so mellow and heavy at the same time, love it!
Haha, the "lalala" part I have to repeat without video so I don't get distracted by Einar's tongue. xD
I lol'd 😂 great comment
Having a bad time at work just randomly opened UA-cam and found this 14min old upload. Thank you, Leprous!
Same man! I just woke up from a heavy night shift and first thing I saw when I woke up was this video!
Me too. I am at work in Sweden and gotta this on UA-cam. Goddammit that's the best on nowadays. ❤ I am totally a huge fan of these Guys.
Wish you all the best, man! stay strong and committed 💪
The same here❤😅

HOLY SH*************T!!!!!!! This opus went from 0 to a million in the blink of an eye. MIND BLOWN ... YESSSSSSSS!!!!!
Easily the best single so far
Not sure about easily because I love them all but I think this might be the best fr
far from it
I Lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-love it
That’s probably the coldest ending I’ve ever seen for a music video. Just Baard calmly playing that last cowbell party, so badass.
CANNOT. WAIT. TO. SEE. THIS. LIVE. You completely NAILED IT GUYS
I heard the scream and immediately looked up the date I'm going to see them to see how long I have to wait
You guys never fail. This track is subtle and versatile, I think it's already my favourite single out of the three. Hype for the album🤘

Leprous casually dropping the best prog song of the year
Sends shivers down the spine. The attention to detail in all their songs is amazing. Pure gold from start to finish and I mean their discography, not only this song.
at first i find it strange ,then astonishing ,then i get addicted to every new record of leprous !
In the digital age we live in, when everything about music was done and dusted, this song came out.
What an unexpected and unique masterpiece.
Leprousにしか出来ない曲。
本当に最高な曲❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
It’s 5:30 am here.
I can’t wait to blast it on my proper sound system.
This makes me so happy
The finger game was strong in this video
Rockin the American Performer P-Bass! Awesome instrument!
Thx for spotting this!
The "band playing in an abandoned warehouse" music video trope will never die!
I literally just came from a periphery vid where they were doing the same. Next time I see an abandoned warehouse I better check it for unattended metal bands.
Best one so far: interesting, catching and with a good sense of progression
Wow! Some band try to keep the same thing over and over but Leprous always try something different as a suprise element
I think this harkens back to some of their earlier pre Pitfalls material.
I think this is what makes me appreciate them more than any other band out there.
They don't like to stick to one particular genre or be labeled as one. What they write is for the benefit of their art and what they like.
@@michaelcarozza292it does but it's fresh still. Like new Opeth. The only time I felt Leprous got samey was their last album next to the one prior.

Can't stop playing this. That's a good sign.
new material for vocal coaches reactions😂
that was awesome, leprous is one of the best prog bands ever, with no bad songs
The most agressive "lalalala" I have ever heared.
What an incredible MASTERPIECE 😮❤❤❤
It's Leprous and it's only Leprous doing this and it's only Leprous that can do this
This is the best Leprous song I've heard so far
Take back what I said, Starlight is the best Leprous song I've heard. This album is wild (their 2nd greatest after Coal)
Thats an awesome earworm and song. Can't wait for the full album. Well done!!
Wow Leprous Wow !! You're back with something hard. This twist on the second part is demoniac. Congrat.
This is fantastic song writing.
Leprous is the best omg, my favorite band.
It doesn't go away from my head anymore
One of their best song ever! The song is so addictive
This song is so good it makes me want to drive 60MPH through a school zone
I'm so in love with the camera panning in this music video, the smooth darting around fits the vibes so well. Great as always guys!!

This was so amazing live!!! Love you Leprous
Song of the year!!
This is going to be a absolutely massive live! Nobody but Leprous writes and performs music like this!
Goosebumbs all over! Epic!
this is shaping up to be a fantastic album!
We got our AAAaaaaAAAAaaa, lalalala and growls, this is the combo I didn't know I needed but I'm here for it! What a great sooooong!!!🎉
Please, release an extended version! 4 minutes aren't enough for this much awesomeness! 😂❤
This song was one of the best algorithm recommendations I ever had. Thank you UA-cam
Oh wow! I'm just speechless now. What a power!
We got the scream! Amazing song guys as always. Definitely on repeat
Can't wait to see them this september!
This is MUSIC with capital letters. What a wonderful time to be listening to this.
Just saw them Friday the 13th in NYC off the hook!!!❤❤❤ waited 5 years since last time!
So beautiful the power of the originality that Leprous can made with every music from this new Mellodies of Atonnement's album
I just jagged a ticket for the Solo show at Max Watts in Melbourne in November. I recently saw Tesseract and they blew my mind, so looking to see how Leprous stack up. Max Watts will be a cracking venue for the band.
Ez a Leprous igazi esszenciája. Jól foglalja össze a zenekart. Alig várom a lemezt!
I have fallen in love with your music... again
Everything in this song is beautiful! What a composition!!! 👏👏
Yessssss - and from Lalalala to an explosion. Excactly what i know from Leprous
I love how baard uses 2 different setups for the different parts!
One of the best of the album because he doesn’t go to overboard with the falsettos
Reasons to keep living:
I usually don't get goose bumps first time I listen to a song. Well .. guess what :)
Baard remembered his shirt but forgot half of his drumset :D Just kidding, love the stripped - down vibe on this one. That's a smooooth groove!
And now its heavy as heck!!!! What a great turn this song took!
this is the most "different from the rest of their discography" song ever. even beating out waste of air and I lose hope...
I need a few hours to digest what I have just witnessed
Two other phenomenal songs, though! Makes me want to make a Playlist of just Leprous' most "out there" songs
1:50 chills bro... wow
this song is an absolute banger, really loving the new stuff
That was great! I love how different Leprous is. They have their own sound and it's just chilling.
goosebumps hellz yeah!!!!!!!!
This band never disappoints…never ! This song is fire !
Absolutely no guitars for the first half of the song and it still slaps hard as hell - you bought me!

That "la la la la" is aggressive af. Dude, I'm sold.
Heaviest "lalalalala" yet.
That key change (? I'm not sure if thats the right term) at 3:28 is sooo good. This whole song is 🔥🔥🔥
No key change. In poppy tracks like this, key changes are rather rare.
Not a key change, just a different chord progression, but yes, it does sound pretty damn good! 😁
I believe they're going to the bVI chord, which is why it sounds more "major"
thank god you exist ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Oh, I’m so happy right now. Wow.
Banger!!! Glad they back to the heavy roots!

La la la la la laaaaa..... uahhh.... 👍👍👍
