I was a fan of Baard from Randezvous Point and didn't know he had a library with GGD and this playthrough was highlighted. I hit play two weeks ago and I have not looked back. This song has been playing at least twice a day in that time as well as absolutely devouring Leprous' catalog. Baard is genuinely one of the most interesting and effective drummers I have ever heard. This song is a gift.
Ive heard a ghost note before but never a ghost nut til now
There was a ghost cymbal in there too
I wish I could Like this more than once. I've lost track of how many times I've watched this video.
Few musicians are able to become their music as much as this man
that last few seconds where he slows down the beat on the ride cymbal is the most epic for me, ideal ending for the song.
Hi-hat: exists*
Baard Kolstad: "It's free real estate."
I'm super impressed not only with his playing ability but with the teamwork at play here, from that tom bit near the beginning to the flawless stick swap at the end, who can say their band has their back like that? Absolutely incredible. I don't even care that he missed the cymbal that one time, definitely one of the most impressive drum playthroughs I've seen.
Still the Drummer that sound's like 3000 thousand Drum sets in one Drum Solo,,, Good on you 🥁Baard 🤘 Kolstad👌 your Simply the Best & Iconic,,, Drummer of 🇳🇴Norway🇳🇴...
One of the best drummers alive right now in my opinion.
imagine being so good at drums that no one makes fun of you for wearing a turtleneck........
Is it really something funny?
It's a tactleneck!
Turtlenecks are beautiful fashion pieces!
Because Scandinavia
i'm quietly confident that matt halpern has the same philosophy with his v-necks...
I'm old. After many watches, I can't help but remember Buddy Rich vehemently despised match grip, I think this performance stands vindicated. Baard plays like a composer on a podium of orchestral moment of greatness.
You can't not admire his sheer prowess behind the kit. Him, Tor and Einar just makes the band.
"To play a wrong note is insignificant; to play without passion is inexcusable."
- Ludwig van Beethoven. Looks like this guy gets it 100%.
Piece of art. Coming back again and again!
I've never seen anything like that... I watched that over and over again for the last months... and it still gives me chills.
Worst china placement since the continental drift
Did he miss once? I wasn't sure but think he did.

I think hes trying to ween himself off of it.
I'll take a guess and say that it's a sound thing, perhaps it was too loud in the mix and needed to be placed a bit further away from the mics.
Hahaha coffee came out of my 👃
He poured his soul into this one
saw them in Lawrence last night and I can confidently say that was one of the best shows I've seen.
Her igjen, og jeg fortsetter å lytte til den, er jeg fortsatt fanget i denne sangen, rett og slett spektakulær.
These leprous songs are getting stuck in my head.. so catchy and moving.. amazing band. Music never fails in my eyes and ears.. theres always something around the corner, just waiting to amaze us all. Leprous being one of them bands.. 😊
So can we start putting this guy amongst the best ever drummers in the world, past and present yet?? I was laughed at years ago when i said it! Baard is incredible!!
Of course, the whole piece is great, but nevertheless the outro is one of the heaviest and at the same time moving pieces of music I have heard in my life. Sometimes I feel sorry that the band did not attempt to build a separate song around this theme. By the way - I feel a similar regret about the closing fragment of "Phantom Bride" by Deftones.
that is exactly why it makes you relisten so much
Any fragment can easily be unzipped to create whole discography of justin bieber
I want to write drum parts like this but I’ve barely scratched the surface.
What a ridiculously legendary performance.
The most inventive drummer since the Professor. Everything he constructs is fluid and powerful.
The madlad actually did it!
Been on repeat for 2 weeks now!! Best drum playthrough ever. This song is all I love about music. You guys are sick!
This is simply out of this world....
Baard is one of, if not THE, best drummers out there right now
Phenomenal. The more I listen to this song and see him drumming... Mind blown. Such a flow, dynamic and musicianship.
