I had a friend who one time at the US-Canada border as a joke, when asked "do you have anything to declare?" responded with, "Yeah, war." they tore his car apart. Dumbest joke ever made.
The1inDaShadow Thats hilarious
not the same scale but a friend of mine wasn't allowed to enter a mall because he joked "oh shit I forgot my grenade"
@@austinfull8941 conversely though, that response is perfect if you get pulled over and the cop asks if you have something like grenades, they want to see if you are nervous. I was actually pulled over one time, rolling stop through a stop sign, nothing bad, but I did just finish a beer before driving, wasn't drink in the slightest, but still. And when the cop asked that question, I responded with, "sorry I left my rocket launcher at home," he handed back my ID and I was on my way. Funniest part of that, just before the cop came back and asked that question, I told my friend with me in the car that if a cop asked something like, that was how to respond. And man did it work.
@@MichFedorchak pro tip to anyone reading the above comment, don't do this. This is a terrible idea.
Walter White: "You got me"
Those are definitely actors Nahid... they didn't film an actual border patrol station.
I'm dead 😂
this crew has some peculiar observations sometimes lmao
Could have been real officers acting mabye
Doesn't take much to convince someone they're "real officers." Just put on a real uniform and act like you know what you're doing. Be confident and decisive. People will buy it. It's called social engineering. Not telling anyone to do it, but it's been proven to fool people.
I mean, they sounded like they mostly weren't serious. A hypotetical, like 'wouldn't it be funny' if it was the case, but not ACTUALLY being the case. Just pointing out it looks really convincing (Ok Nahid a tiny bit, but definitely nobody agreed). When reacting like this it's often easy to throw stuff out for entertainment, even before thinking if it makes sense. that's not weird
That's the same dog house Jesse was at when he purchased a gun in season 1
It’s almost all CGI in the beginning scene. Really amazing how they made it look like the real Santa Teresa border crossing. The episode won like some industry award for the CGI actually.
no way? interesting af
Both of the Mcgills get up to some chicanery.
Well played if intentional :D

Normies, The opening shot of this episode is notable for being a 4 minute and 22 second seamless "one shot". The shot was inspired by the famous opening shot of Orson Welles's Touch of Evil, and used techniques including 3D digital elements and animation, matte paintings, and extensive rotoscope.
The episode was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for "Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role" for the work done.
12:38 Public Masturbation - another cool detail woven into this. In Breaking Bad, we are first introduced to Saul Goodman because Badger got picked up. When Saul goes in to talk with Badger, he at first mistakenly thinks Badger is the one who did the public masturbation, as Saul has several cases at the time.
I was so torn when I saw this episode. On one hand, I wanted Kim to keep Mesa Verde. On the other, it's always cool to see Chuck show why Howard and all of HHM worship his talent. ON THE OTHER- it was all out of his rivalry with Jimmy! BUT STILL! It was fair and square! I WANTED Jimmy to help Kim! But seeing him totally fuck over his (asshole of a) brother by gaslighting him... ugh! Didn't like it! But also liked it!
As said before, this Chuck vs Jimmy running plotline was the shit I lived for in this and the third season! But it was also so painful seeing how shitty they treat each other (granted, Chuck started it, but Jimmy had spent most of his life being a terrible person). Especially since I have brothers myself.
(also, Chuck did help Jimmy before. Y'know, like getting him out of prison.)
This is a bit spoilery for them if they read it.
It wasn't fair and square, it was just legal. He played dirty - he did a terrible thing in a legal way while Jimmy did a GOOD thing through illegal means. Not to mention, Kim's entire career hung in the balance cause of this. I still think Jimmy is more in the right here, but I'm not someone who feels the law stands in place of moral responsibility and I know there are some that do.
@@GoliathWarfare How did he play dirty? He pointed out that this was too much work for one person and guess what? He was right! Kim nearly got herself killed in a car crash by trying to handle Mesa Verde by herself and, in the end, she had to go join another firm because it was just too much for her. Nothing dirty, just the truth.
Also, you need some pretty screwed up morals to think that making a bank and a law firm lose millions and try to place the blame on your brother is a ''GOOD thing''.
@@GoliathWarfare What are you talking about? How is convincing a client to stay with your firm not _"fair and square"?_ How was Chuck _"playing dirty"?_ What law firm on the planet wouldn't want to retain a million dollar client? I don't understand why that's a _"terrible thing"_ as you said. It's just business. And how on earth is Jimmy doing a _"GOOD thing"_ by stealing and doctoring legal documents in order to gaslight his brother and convince everyone that he's not a capable lawyer? I hate to break it to you, but there's nothing moral about that at all. Not even close! Jimmy is *NOT* _"more in the right here."_ Not morally or legally. What he did is just plain wrong in every sense of the word.
@@giantWario He deliberately suppressed his own illness just to spite Jimmy. Kim was only super stressed working for Mesa Verde because she felt guilty about having gotten it because of Jimmy's meddling. He wouldn't have had to meddle if Chuck hadn't gone out of his way to fuck with Jimmy's life. Again, without Mesa Verde, Kim would have been fucked financially and by extension, Jimmy. That's all Chuck cared about.
5:20 Normies are simple people -- they hear the word "happenstance", they laugh.
They really earn their name sometimes :p
Hey, I laughed, too. I’m not gonna act like that’s a word you hear often.
Howard is not an asshole. Hes just a guy trying to run his firm.
That's the great of this. For me, he is a asshole. A bad person that pretends to be good
Kim can't get her own leads? Remember her hustle in landing Mesa Verde?
Took her days and she got lucky. Plus, when she landed Mesa Verde and gained their trust she was a representative of huge HHM. As a solo practitioner it would be much harder to do that.
@@rikard.h Lucky?! Did you see how many calls she made?! And how many of those leads went nowhere, yet still she persisted? That's hard work, dude. You keep trying and trying and trying no matter how many times you fail until you finally succeed. And she did.
@@Melancthon7332 Never meant it wasn't hard work. But sometimes you need both hard work and luck. In her case there was no guarantee that any of her contacts were in the need of help from HHM.
4:02 The number of sticks on the ground, equals how many time he got searched.
Interesting
No shit Sherlock
I don't believe you
I love how you all think Chuck's actions are simply because he hates Jimmy lol...no law firm worth its weight is gonna let a client that big just walk out the door without a fight. Jimmy didn't have jack to do with Chuck wanting to help save Mesa Verde as a client.
I also love how Chuck basically pulled a Jimmy-type sales job on Mesa Verde but it's not appreciated like Jimmy's have been.
Obviously any lawyer isn't going to want to lose a big client . . . but when Howard told Chuck Kim stole Mesa Verde, he seemed bummed out but not too upset. But the second Howard says Kim is working with Jimmy, suddenly Mesa Verde is so goddamn important he's willing to go to the office. You really think he would have braved the lights and cell phones if he didn't want to get at Jimmy?

Kim overastimated herself by working on Mesa Verde by herself. Client as big as that is not a one person job. Chuck and Howard were allowed to fight for Mesa Verde since there's no contract had been signed with Kim yet, plus Chuck still did it legally. It really depends on Mesa Verde who they're wanna work with.
If fails, she fails. She's brought them in. Chuck just a demon who hates to see he's brother win.
Lost reaction delayed?
Season two has the best montages of the show
I was on a college sports team and we drove in a van across the border into Laredo. On the way back, they made us get out and they looked at all the stuff we bought. Also, on the interstate in Texas, we were stopped and they asked the Latina women for ID.
What i found interesting is at the end when mike is making the spike hose on the tv is a couple arguing and the mans name is walter
then the woman says "you are no longer my husband you are no longer my boss"
I know they're already further on Patreon.
But it's so sweet knowing how Pat misjudged Kim. "Oh- she can't run her own business. Just from her personality, yo. I just don't think she's as good as her own boss as Jimmy is."
FUCK THAT! Kim runs her shit like a machine. And for the most part, does it by the book. Even when things start to fall apart for her, she quickly turns it around.
Lmao I just noticed that the graphic for the episode Fifi 2x6 is wrong hahaha!
"Man made submarines"? As opposed to the naturally made submarines?
Feels bad y'all still calling Jimmy Saul
Why does it matter? We know who he is and who he eventually will be and they do too.
@@dwnkaomwn3953 I feel like acknowledging him as Jimmy before he becomes Saul just makes it all the more tragic when he does take up the persona. I feel more of an emotional connection to Jimmy than I do to the 'character' of Saul.

Season 5 is so good.
I don’t understand why everybody is hating on Chuck for convincing Mesa Verde to stick with HMM. If you had a million dollar client like that, wouldn’t you do everything in your power to retain them? It’s just business. Just because they’re brothers, it doesn’t mean that Chuck should just give everything over to Jimmy and forfeit profits for his own law firm.
Because he didnt give a shit about the firm at all before that. He's at home with his space blankets not working at all. His brother gets a big case and suddenly he can get off the couch, go outside and is desperate for the firms clients? COme on bro. Be honest.
How about *TWO* a week?

Can you guys make a gaming series and play games like telltale games and life is strange??
yup. this is when I started regularly saying: Fuck Chuck. sure, what Jimmy did was technically illegal but also, Mesa Verde was technically already Kim’s and was stolen from her twice. I’ve seen this posted elsewhere but I’ll post it here because I think it really fits in this situation: Jimmy does the “wrong” things for the right reasons, while Chuck does the “right” things for the wrong reasons.
That's a really good way to describe their situation! I completely agree.
Why is the word “happenstance” so funny?
Okay, so does anybody else think the pupper looks kind of like a fox?
It's cool ya aint got ta lie errybody done coke at least once lol
