People act as if the only reason sororitas are popular is that they are a female only faction, but I don't think having female space marines would change anything about thier popularity, they would still be the kickass zealot army full of repentia and pain engines. They have a very different vibe to space marines, I think that is the main reason people are drawn to them. If the only reason anyone was drawn to them was that they were women, then surely their player numbers would've gone down when female custodes lore was released.
@@-TheMachineGod- The player count for Sisters is kinda high right now, cuz they were really good gameplay wise since not so long ago. Sororitas fans are another thing thou: we are so few, that we still need to remind people how a battle sister is morally, psychologically and physically way closer to the common human, than a space marine (making sisters way more relatable characters imo). Being a women only army isn't the only unique trait that Sororitas have, but it's one of them (along with their awesome gothic aesthetics and their faith). Warhammer is a niche hobby thou, and Sororitas is a niche faction inside that hobby: taking away any kind of unique feature from a faction will inevitably result in people (especially beginners)'s disinterest, in favour of a more popular faction. I mean: why would ANYONE want to start a Sororitas army, if a female Black Templar army is possible? You would get the gothic aesthetics, the zeal AND also all the new releases the space marines get every time. People's lack of interest means less releases and a slow fade into oblivion... Also, it's funny that you mention the femstodes, cuz especially the one in the animated series indeed completely killed off any interest people had with the (objectively better written) battle sister in Pariah Nexus. Is this the beginning of the end? Only time will tell. In the mean time, Repentia, Cherubs, Penitent Engines, and overall the entire faction are extremely toned down with each new update to the lore. Not to forget that sisters are one of the very few factions that got absolutely nothing this edition, except of the lamest looking HQ and a mini with no rules, and they even lost one of the most unique looking mini in 40k (Canoness Veridyan). I think the idea of the half human half feline regiment can be expanded on extremely, I had a hundred different ideas for models run through my head, there are so many different large breeds of feline, groups of Assassins that could Dart in behind enemy lines, think of all the different styles of characters instead of king of the jungle it could be king of the battlefield, there's cheetahs, panthers, Maine Coon, one of the commissars could be riding a ginormous muscly feline, like he's some kind of fucking He-Man, I can also think of a couple vehicles there is so much that they can be adding to the Imperium of man, they could even have a splinter group that joins chaos like a terrorist group, they could be pushing the Imperium to New Heights expanding the Borders or pushing chaos back into the warp, earning then the place in the Imperium and a planet or two of their own

Most importantly though, neither Word Bearers nor Iron Warriors wear black, so it will be a change from painting Black Templars
HOW could this guy possibly have more to say? Well im happy he does. Happy friday
Talented painter but he always loses me when discussing the expansion of the canon. Attitudes towards the narrative definitely more in line with a marvel property 😂 FSM will mark the departure of what makes 40k special imo
“Slaanesh is all about things not sucking.”
Actually, Slaanesh is about all kinds of things suddenly sucking.
Ever since World Eaters got their codex, I've wanted to play Emporer's Children, so I've slowly built up my CSM List, I've even got a box of Daemonettes and Fiends, I'd love to see a new Box of Noise Marines, like Khorne Beserkers and kit for Sonic Terminators or a Sonic Dreadnaught, perhaps some units with power whips or flails, not to mention an actual Plastic Daemon Primarch Fulgrim, can't wait to see what they do with it
"Everyone is begging for female space marines" - only the people who don't care about the lore man. Trust me when i say, adding female space marines will kill the hobby - as if you open the door to one lot then you've gotta do it for the rest.
4:16 "How do we tell him?"
What will happen after ec? Will chaos still get new armies?
I assume they'll keep going until they have stuff for all the chaos legions, there is still next to nothing for Iron Warriors, Night Lords, Word Bearers, and Alpha legion, along with all the smaller warbands like Red Corsairs and the creations of Fabius Bile.
Oh Jay, you goober. You can't spend CP to unfail a battleshock test
Yes you can? Isn't that Insane Bravery?
@moderndavinci6599 Insane Bravery is used INSTEAD of a roll, to automatically pass. As soon as you fail a BS test, you are shook, and can't use strats
@@AzkuulaKtaktu No, hold on... I could have sworn it had an exception written into it
Edit: I don't have my core rule book on me rn but according to the internet: Yeah it has an exception that you can apply it to those even undergoing battleshock. Though only it can only be done in the Command phase, so we are both wrong lol
I am shocked that Shaun picked the winning faction
My 40k death guard army needs those Nurgle's gardeners.
I don't know how or what for yet.
I'll figure that out later
My brother in Christ, I have an entire Bonesplitterz army, and I too would love for them to be brought back! I did some boarboy & big boss kitbashing because they were all sold out, but otherwise have every character & a reinforced unit of all infantry options. Gonna be fun to paint them up, they look like they'll take washes fantastically
My friend is planning on getting an emporors children for her second faction. Im so excited!
Tbh, I would love to get my hands on those Lumineth models. They look really cool! Still working hard on getting my Lumineth Spearhead done, but slowly and steady I'm getting there. :-)
I think we need a chaos traitor Astra Militarum faction, Dark Mechanicum, and also maybe traitor inquisitors.
Tau, read Ciaphas Cain his books, first three of the first Omnibus.
Genestealer problem.
Nice, right?
Worse, the rift that will split the known universe, might actually be a Chaos action to get the Emperor back in the game, as a demi-god.
All to counter the Tyranid, the Necrons their Silent King is starting to lose that fight, more & more, are getting past him.
So what is their game?
I am a thousand sons player, I am not a slanesh or grandfather nergal player at all, planning on getting some from Korn and creating a black Legion
I wish Tzeentch loves himself the Inquisitors and Assassins. Feels like if you want to do quiet shenanigans that changes the course of things involving the Imperium, that'd be where you start.
You should do a really awesome Word Bearers chaos warband with all the free hand script on their armors & purity seals
I love the idea of chaos lady marines, that'd be dope
Hey bro
Can I use black legion and world eaters in the same army?
Jay, remember your Night Lords Kill Team? 18:59
3:20
No, those are clearly two separate units! One is “barbarians with axes” and the other is “axe wielding barbarians”!!!
Get it right!!!/s
It’s like Archer and his black and ”slightly darker black” tactical turtlenecks…
I have no desire to do Chaos or loyalist space marines beyond like a kill team, buuuuut the Emperor's Children are the One that would get me to invest.
Hi Jay, I'm pretty sure your Black Templars could do with an Astraeus 🤔
I’d really love to see that too
I’m more excited about the Pale Spear being teased!
Having an Alpharius model in my army that isn’t a kitbash or 250+$ would be amazing!
Please make The ork kill rig conversion with the truck 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😀🇬🇧
Tempted yes, also u made a very good theory which would be lovely to be worked out! Greetings, have a good time!
Buying the Emperors Children Launch box. Hope they really lean into the noise marines and we get a release similar to the Death Guard. I want a bunch of unique Noise Marines. Would also love some monopose Space Marine "heroes" in Emperors Children flavour. Again those Death Guard ones are some of the best models going.
Im just glad that Games Workshop stopped crapping on Slaanesh, it always feels like they get the "Shaft" so to speak.
Oh boy, yet another "Imperium but with spikes" faction
The game was built on Space Marines, and it will be pushed forward by Space Marines to the end of its existence. This is the way
I've been a Slaanesh fan for years, I've been waiting for a proper EC release for almost 20 years now. My appetites will be finally sated, praise the Dark Prince!
I'm psyched for noise marines and biker resculpts, but less for emperorers children, and more for just Chaos in general.
40K what if series would be amazing! What if Ferris managed to not lose his cool and head.
I have no idea what EC will look like or play like but I've already committed to fielding them. Slaanesh is my weakness
I think we need a dark mechanicum faction to add to the universe
So ready for Emperor's Children
It was just a thought on the Imperial becoming stagnant
Bile already has his new men that are inbetwine transhuman space marine and regular homemade
and in the lore he is decrement to make it even harder for chaos space marines to be made for shit and giggles.
I think the idea of the half human half feline regiment can be expanded on extremely, I had a hundred different ideas for models run through my head, there are so many different large breeds of feline, groups of Assassins that could Dart in behind enemy lines, think of all the different styles of characters instead of king of the jungle it could be king of the battlefield, there's cheetahs, panthers, Maine Coon, one of the commissars could be riding a ginormous muscly feline, like he's some kind of fucking He-Man, I can also think of a couple vehicles there is so much that they can be adding to the Imperium of man, they could even have a splinter group that joins chaos like a terrorist group, they could be pushing the Imperium to New Heights expanding the Borders or pushing chaos back into the warp, earning then the place in the Imperium and a planet or two of their own
furry
@@-TheMachineGod- fur-al? I cant remember what there names are, I was on UA-cam and heard about them being used against orcs
@@osb4207 I was calling you a furry, I don't remember what the regiment is called, but I have seen an stl for head replacements to kitbash them, I think it was called catanyans
I vote for Black legion! since they are the next of my paint table
I think it's more likely he paints Iron Warriors or Word Bearers because he has already painted thousands of points of black power armor
That destruction box is a siren song for my orky heart. Will want a box of them.
I remember hearing somewhere that Perturabo will pledge alligence to the new chaos diety.
That would be incredibly disappointing to hear, his entire thing has been enslaving demons and sticking them in engines, I don't think he'd swear himself to one god and cut off his ability to access the other gods demons
I feel like Peter Turbo and Vashtorr would be very good work friends but not in an allegiance type way.
Totally expand the painting every legion to chaos too!
Can’t wait for my 4th army to come out. Emperors children to fight my iron hands
The slanesh faction does feel perfect for messing around with space marine gender like that
Those underworlds nighthaunt me and my dad split and painted on a weekend and there awesome
The Marauders are the group that have less armor, while the heavy armored ones are the Chaos Warriors. They all look cool, but I can't have AOS and Horus Heresy at the same time. It's a money thing.😊😅❤
Hey huge fan I’m a new beginner. Would love for some tips and tricks. I’m going with the blue Marines, sorry for my ignorance
I ended up buying one guitar hero space marine and then used 30k MK6 armor for the rest of my noise marines, with the finecast weapons
Unfortunately bonesplittas are gone from aos entirely, they are being removed due to old world
Noergel IST BAH
I was planning on doing female emperor's children with basically that backstory
I'm a loyalist waiting for emperor's children to become a heretic. Been waiting for Slanesh for years now
18:05 Khan and Vulkan could easily and should come back next.
I absolutely love the intro to these videos
11:20 This is obviously irony, but why even start such an argument? I haven't seen one person heavily invested in the lore would agree with fsm, the rest is split to not really caring and heavily against. Sure the chaos side might be more open to this, but ehy bring space marines themselves into zhe discussion?
Because he is a UA-camr who gets paid based on how many clicks he gets on his video. And his video gets pushed to others based on people commenting. He's just farming drama to get engagement 🤷
Video should have had a trigger warning so we could have prepared ourselves. Like,
Trigger warning: *_women_*
@@moderndavinci6599 Ah yes, the classical "all women are bad" straw man. As if women as a whole were ever the issue. It's when you brute force them into everything, no matter if you destroy established lore, ... . But sure, let's go with "women bad", because a real discussion is difficult.
@@Nazgul1393 ah yes....... the classic "but my established lore" Strawman... As if throwing a fit over a single, forgotten paragraph from a 7 year old codex blurb is the real issue, no matter how GW has retconned multitudes of other things for the sake of refining a factions identity which have gone un-butthurt over....... . .. But sure, let's go with "the lore", because a real discussion over faction identity, characterization, and thematic niches, is difficult.
@@moderndavinci6599 ... i'm not saying fsm should never be a thing. And i'm sure there are ways to implement them without breaking the lore. But looking at how gw managed the custodes with their classic line "there have always been female custodes" - a line which basically quotes 1984. That's where problems arise.
There is a difference in *how* you implement new elements in an established universe.
I would like to see demonette possessed marines, just to see the "noooo-female-beakies"-boneheads cry!😂
Ugh I keep asking myself how he has more to say!
Maybe the new Tau Chaos god arrives, then i can build another tau army.
I’m in let’s do something the emperor wakes up to go get the lost dude with no hand.
