Lana is pretty much Superman’s Gwen Stacy. There is literally no Elseworld story where Clark and her end up together. At least Marvel did House of M that was short lived. Granted, I’m happy that Lana doesn’t die for the sole purpose of furthering a main character’s story, but in terms of the first romance tragedy, Lana is the DC’s Gwen Stacy. And I find it interesting that no one has pulled the trigger on the idea of making her the endgame instead of Lois. Even in this story alone, Lois doesn’t have a relationship with Clark, which makes me wonder why Lana wasn’t in this more. It would have been better to see their relationship continue all the way to the end. I want to know what happened to his relationship with Lana.
