the quickness of the fiesta st cant really be described. I've driven a handful of "fast" cars and idk, the fiesta pulls from 0-60 and out of corners unlike any other car i've driven. it's just so much fun. "You get to the speed limit so fast" is 100% a great description of this car. It blows my mind how fast I can get up to speed and how much pull it still has left.
I wouldn’t say they’re underrated. I think they’re sick and well recognised cars for the money. So much potential and people hate getting beaten by them.
Refreshing to see someone go against the loud and shouty Ford scene 👍 My advice is to pop in front and rear strut braces and a quaife diff. The strut braces will give sharper steering feel and reletively cheap. Once you stamp on the power with a Quaife diff, you'll wander what you been doing. It's an experience, you can feel it sorting the power out, and it's a feeling like nothing else when you shotgun it out of a bend.
I'm not really into pops and bangs but i do like the sound of that Fiesta. Like you said I too don't like the boy racer attention. It is a good balance
Sometimes you can’t beat the enjoyment of a quick fwd weapon! Next step should definately be a diff and brakes if you’re planning to track it! It’ll make it so much more capable!
just picked up my st180 from devil developments after going from stock to full stage 3 hybrid turbo and it made 315bhp, well happy with the conversion its such a blast to drive, can't speak highly enough about DD they done a great job . next mods will have to be a brake upgrade that fits inside 16" wheels and a LSD is going to be a must have. edit too add proud member of the no pops and bangs club here lol
I live in Canada, and I used to own a Dodge Challenger. But I was tired of all the fuel prices and wanted to down size, got a Fiesta ST, which over here is actually quite rare compared to the UK. But I smile waaaaay more driving the ST than the Challenger. It just FEELS faster cause you're smaller, taking corners at twice the speed you'd do in a bigger car and it's just so understated and fun. Fun is the only way to describe driving the Fiesta ST.
nice! I was saving to buy this car too, but back then, my old man would always trying to push me to buy a GTI instead. I think that is the car he wants, but not me. Glad I am a proud owner now of my fast little white pocket rocket!

Totally get what you're saying J, the ST is a 'different' kind of quick to something RWD/AWD pushing similar power. Yeah you're gonna get smoked by a BMW in a straight line eventually, but throw those cars on a typical British country road; I guarantee the person in the ST is having the most fun AND gapping hard. I bought an ST because it's the most fun hot hatch I've driven since the EK9 Civic, and regret nothing after 2 years ownership. There is something magic about the ST that is rare these days, and I think when you do a price breakdown people will be surprised how cheap they are to mod too. Looking forward to seeing what's next on the journey for the ST and RS5 builds, cheers bro 👍
@Jay Leno And....... If your flooring it from 0 yes but from a rolling start (i.e. real life situations), there will be enough traction to beat the golf r by quite a bit, 0 to 60 is pointless, 30 - 90 etc is way more important.
I had a fiesta rs turbo stage 1 scorpion exhaust k and n air filter it made 170 to 180 bhp depending on air temp awsome car some of the best days in my life kept up with most cars in the day its different now so many powerful cars out there big respect......👍👍👍

I’ve owned an E46 M3, Audi S3, Golf R and many more, since having kids I now own a 2015 Fiesta which isn’t even 100BHP but I personally think it’s a great car. Not fast at all but ignoring speed it’s a brilliant all rounder. Not drove an ST but would love to have a go in your car to see what it’s like. Been a passenger in my mates ST which runs over 300BHP but he wouldn’t let me drive it due to insurance.

I have a 340bhp st and it’s still is so fun to throw into island I understand what you mean about the rear end slip and it will take 140i and s3’s not to far off a rs3 it will keep a jb4 modified golf R
Wow I'm loving it!! That Turbo and dump just sounds MADDDD!! I miss driving my ST, its just been sitting on the roadside due to a little issue (squeaking sound, sounds like an upper engine mount issue) but I cannot get it checked because most of my local garages have closed...

My friend has a stage3 Fiesta ST making just over 300hp. He also has a Lamborghini Huracan Evo. He chooses to drive the Fiesta over the Huracan most days when he wants to go carve up some B roads. He says it’s a much funner car to drive than the Lambo.
Had a race against a focus ST yesterday we where neck on neck, no idea on the mod level on the ST but im running 330 bhp in my GTI ed35. Really nice suprise as i thought i'll eat him hehe
I wish I was over in the UK, over here in the states I have all the same mods as you minus the turbo and I’m hitting maybe 225 bhp, and that’s strictly because most tunes for us are thru the Cobb accessport, which is cool but defiantly know my car can get a little more power on stock turbo 😭 you don’t even have meth injection and your making good power, can’t wait for my fiesta to be 300bhp or even better 300wheelhp, gotta fine the right tuner and everything first 😒

Dunno if anyone has said this but just clicking the ESC button "sport mode" doesn't do a great deal. If you hold it down past the sport pop up on screen it will disable more of the ESC over the standard "sport mode".

The Fiesta ST is great fun to drive, tested a GTI, Focus ST and went with the Fiesta ST all day long.

I have a 2013 ST Fiesta. Stage 2. Its mega smokes a lot of other MUCH more expensive cars on track. Yet does over 40mpg on a decent trip.

I had the focus st170 , and totally did not see a speed hump at 30mph , my wife almost hit her head on the roof lining bouncing out her seat .Im still reminded of this 5 years later when ever i mention a ford st Hhaahaha

Now thats a nice car i had a white Ford Fiesta Sport with a Rotrex Supercharger i know the feeling, its a super car, still like this Ford, its fast :)). Just no lags, instant power lolll.
