We love Buc-ee's!! I see in your video that I didn't see the New Year's Buc-ee's shirt. I didn't see it in Sevierville either. We found it in Crossville, TN on our way to Memphis. That three meat sandwich has been around since the opening of the store in Sevierville. That was when I first noticed it. To bad you couldn't find your size in the sweater. I think getting those pajamas would be a great idea. You would look really cool in those next year at Christmas time. It's easy to drop some money when you make a stop at one of these stores. We ended up getting way to much stuff last week on our trip at the Crossville store. The store in Crossville is laid out the same as the store in this video. If they did have tables for people to sit at that would be nice but at the same time they would never leave. lol Thanks for taking us along to this Buc-ee's. Another one that we will have to visit one day. Enjoy your trip in Florida and hope the weather will improve for you.
Today was in the low 70's, but it has remained overcast, except for a brief period where the sun peeked through. We did go out and sit on the beach earlier. Yes, I always spend more inside of these stores than I planned to. I don't know how I missed that 3 meat sandwich before, but I'm glad I found it. I love the brisket sandwich, but I think this one takes first place for me. I was very disappointed to find that they only had size Small in that sweater. I was going to model it, and send you a picture of it. Because we noticed you had tried it on, and put it on your thumbnail. I basically just had to hold it up in front of me, and try to look like I was wearing it, but my arms sticking out gives it away. No way I could get into it. I didn't see the New Year's Eve shirt. No way those pajamas are happening. The Peanuts pajamas is as far as I'm going with that.
Derrick, TNX for buying the Borden Chocolate and Strawberry milks! Now you know my drinking habit. Given that I've seen them at other Buc-ee's and with the uniformity of Buc-ee's, on my next trip to Pigeon Forge, I'll stop at Buc-ee's in Sevierville and stock-up for my hotel room before I hit Food City for my snacks! Many thanks for the Christmas video! God Bless!
That was my very first Buc-ee's that I was ever in. How fun! Love all your videos. I look forward to seeing your adventures from St. Augustine. It sure is beautiful there. I bet at Christmas it is really nice.
I love the Buc-ee's fudge. It is so good. The Beaver Nuggets are also good. I plan to get a Buc-ee's Tennessee shirt when i am in the Seiverville Buc-ee's next month.
We enjoyed y'all's tour of this Buc-ee's. Brent is with Derrick and enjoys using paper maps. The club sandwiches are incredible....the spicy mayo is hit or miss and sometimes it's VERY spicy, but it's up there with the brisket and is a great sandwich. Happy New Year to y'all!
@@NCMemoryMakers Florida in September with my daughter and her fiancé. Disney for 14 days. Done three or four road trips in Florida really enjoyed them, especially like St Augustine.
Awww. My Birthplace!! St.Augustine😊 love Buccee's.. Love to see the theme of the gift areas in different locations . Luling, Texas Buccee's is one of my favorite Buccee's. Buccee's apple butter is delicious and Darnell Farms apple butter is great if your an apple butter fan, just sayin'😊. Love the nuggets!! Safe Travels .
You were born there? That's wonderful! It's a beautiful place. I love apple butter. I just picked up a pint of it at the Apple Barn the other night. Theirs is absolutely the best I've ever had.
I see that you are in a historic city. Y'all need to check out the state of Kentucky. They have some of best food in my travels. Check out the Belle of Louisville, a historic treasure for a riverboat. While in Louisvlle, you can visit some of the amazing museums. Kentucky is so underrated as a travel destination and no futher of a drive than going to Atlanta from NC.
It sure is a destination, in and of itself. I would love to live 14 miles from one. Glad you enjoyed your visit! You live near the St. Augustine location?
@@NCMemoryMakers I live 14 miles from the Royse City, Texas location.....and the Terrell, Texas location is only 17 miles away. I'm up to my ears in Buc-ee's brisket!!!!
Oh, I always love a shopping trip to Bucee's. They have an awesome snack that I love. IT's called White Fudge Beaver Twists.......Bugle snacks covered with white chocolate. That salty sweet taste is awesome!! Somebody needs to just make a trip to Bucee's and buy those pajama's and send them to ya'll....... 😉🤣
We love stopping at Buc-ee's when we are close to one. We have been know to drive from central Ohio to the Buc-ee's in Richmond KY. I have assumed that if they offered a place to sit to eat that it might be considered a restaurant with different rules.
Perhaps. It just seems like a couple of picnic tables outside, wouldn't hurt anything. Every time we've eaten at a Buc-ee's, we have to either put our food on top of the trash can outside, or the ice machine. We actually stopped off at the one in Richmond, KY, on our way to Minnesota last summer, and on our way back.
As you know, NC has Sheetz, which does have tables and chairs to sit and eat. Some of the Sheetz have the pineapple whip soft service ice cream. It's a big container for that is self-served for only $2. Much cheaper than Disney for sure.
What part of NC has this pineapple whip? We are in Virginia and I haven't seen it here. Will have to take a closer look next time. I love those pineapple whips!
@@tippytoes2358 thanks. Will have to check the ones close by us. I just haven't seen any around us so I was shocked when you said they carried it. Thanks!! Have a Happy New Year!!
Great video! Our thoughts on why they don’t have tables: they don’t want people lingering that much longer, more to clean up after (since some people are always rude and leave trash) and possibly that they wouldn’t “have enough” tables for everyone that would want to use them, causing issues. Those are some of the reasons we have thought of🤷🏻♀️ I would like some because I hate eating in my vehicle lol
You are probably correct about them not wanting people to linger around. But people are lingering around there. The place is jam-packed, and I've actually seen people pull their car up to the gas pump, pump their gas, and then leave the car there while they go inside. And even if they only put a few tables out there, that's better than what they have now. We literally put our food on top of the trash can or on top of the ice machine. I'm not a big fan of eating in my vehicle, either. And even in that scenario, we are technically still lingering around, because we're eating our sandwich there. I just wish they would put some tables for us to eat them at. But that probably is their thinking on the matter.
I agree totally! Our favorite one is in Terrell TX, and luckily it has a huge parking lot. We pull out to the edges and have a picnic. Lol usually when we are going through there we have a trailer going to a truck show though. And I despise when people park at the pumps. We always fuel up then move to a parking spot.
We love bucees. Best place to stop for basically everything. Would love some picnic tables as well but definitely would not be eating anywhere near trash cans. That is just nasty! We just take the food back to the car eat and just take our time in the parking lot. We do love watching yall travels.
Well, we don't put our food directly on the trash can. Plus, it rained all day, so it was washed off. But the foil is protecting the food from the actual can itself. I also don't like to eat in vehicles, especially since I'm in a rental vehicle. Not really wanting to spill BBQ sauce in there and have to clean it out.
We've never been to a BUC-EE'S before. Only convenience store I know of that can be its own vacation destination! What are the Beaver Nuggets made of? Would like to try them . Glad Derrick decided to keep this years Christmas pajamas instead of getting those there. Great video as always!
Not sure exactly what they're made of. I know the regular ones taste a lot like Corn Pops cereal. But they have different flavors. Is there a particular flavor you'd like to try? We'll be stopping on our way back out on Saturday, and I can look at the ingredients on the back of the bag, and I can also tell you what flavors they have.
Hey y’all,, we are watching y’all,, ❤️Buccee’s,, those sandwiches are gonna make us drive to Florence tomorrow to get one😂,, stay safe & enjoy yer trip🙏!! Hope y’all had a wonderful Christmas 🎄
January 8th the Mebane NC town council will met to determine if Buc-ee’s can start building. Mebane would be stupid to not allow Buc-ee’s to build. Income for the town and county not to mention job creation for the county.
Infrastructure is a big concern, as where I live now, it’s become a huge thorn with massive growth..not to mention the crime spilling over from Charlotte NC. We have too much traffic now than our roads can handle. I’ve nicknamed Belmont (Charlotte the sequel)
