      Hi Emmy! Before I forget again wanted to mention a channel to you. I think its called Titan Top List. He has all kinds of very informative lists of exotic fruits and veggies etc. He gives nutritional and prep ideas as well. Really cool! I was hoping you'd find inspo for more fruity fruits and some crazy veggies as well!

      I think the balloon creates a steaming effect, for better or worse, but nonetheless, it came out looking great, and looked pretty tasty too.

    The moment I saw that bowl I thought. OMG MAKE PIZZA SALAD IN A BREAD BOWL ( arugula, spinach, watercress, romaine lettuce, red onion, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, black olive, and mix minced garlic with vinaigrette and marinara as dressing. Oh and meats are optional but i recommend pancetta and lightly seared pepperoni) honestly SO GOOD

    Idea: Mini versions, but a sweet pizza instead- e.g. chocolate and marshmallows. To serve, remove a small portion of the dome and pipe in whipped cream or soft-serve ice-cream!

      Claudia Sketches or use pastry dough or cookie dough for the doom part (outside) and use ice cream inside then drizzle chocolate on top and service to your liking

    What if you brushed on some garlic butter on top of the balloon? Would it be too delicate? I feel like it would be yummier than eating the plain inflated crust lol

      You could brush it on prior to inflation. But I have to agree with some of the others, I don't really see the point. I prefer my pizza crust brown, and don't want the toppings steamed, either. It's interesting from a novelty perspective, but I'll pass on the big crust bubble.

    In South Korea where I first saw the inflated pizza. They serve three dips to go with the top part of the bubble! Love this and look forward to trying it out.💕

    I love how happy Emmy gets, her genuine excitement is so nice to see here on UA-cam, there's so many fakes where you don't even know if what they are saying it true at least with Emmy you know she's real, Emmy never change!     If you oiled the pan, you might have been able to crisp the crust a bit. I was taught to always oil a pizza 'pan' because the oil will actually get hotter than the pan.
    I think this is a cute novelty, but it seems like a waste of pizza dough. Maybe sprinkle some cheese on the ballon after it's been cooking for about half the time?

    By my experiencxe, I get wonderful results when using conventional baking (not air fan / turbo) and on a the lowest rack. The bottom will get more direct heat from down making the crust a bit crispy.

    I dunno if I would make one of these, I mean your toppings are steamed and not broiled on top. It's kinda neat but Gimmicky right? It's kinda like making a pizza burger, because the burger is trapped inside you don't get it flame broiled or seared you just get a steamed burger. I am just trying to think of a way you could use this to make the same pizza better, I can't really think of it right now, although, it is really neat you could certainly use it for another recipe

    there used to be a local pizza place that had what they called a stuffed sausage pizza. it had two crusts, sealed together at the edge. it had italian sausage and mozzerella between the crusts, and they put the sauce on the top crust. it inflated in the oven due to steam, and was unlike any pizza i have ever had before. i haven't had one in thirty years. this makes me hungry for one.

    I think that you can make some smaller ones, so that there will be little hills for everyone! and then serve a side of sauce to dip the crowns in! this looks so good!

      Ron McKickass I didn’t mean anything bad against Emmy, I love her videos and she’s delightful. I was just expressing my opinion that pizza is tastier when the ratio of filling is higher than the ratio of pizza crust so I don’t see the point of making extra crust.

    I love how excited you get when recipes work perfectly. I was thinking the ingredients would be cheesier and stacked! Then when top removed those dining would have a pizza dip style to put in the top dough pieces. Then as you said the bottom dough cooked on a stone or cast iron. The single layer left then cut up to eat more like a NYC pizza folded 👍🏼😋

    I don't really get this honestly, like, what benefit does this have over regular pizza if you're just going to cut the top off.

      Seems like it makes the pizza worse, there's no fun "popping" of the bubble, and it's just thrown away dough. This is a good example of Instagram food. Great for eyes; bad for mouths

      yeah, i skipped through most of the video, when i saw the end result i was glad i did. this was the most pointless thing ive ever seen.... it looks like the bubble caused condensation and made for a very sloppy wet pizza... id rather the cheese brown on the pizza thana weird gloopy soggy mess.

      Maybe brushing some melted butter in the balloon top, then sprinkle some garlic powder, parmesan cheese and parsley inside, pop it in the oven for maybe 2 or 3 mins. more, and serve it as an interesting kind of garlic bread that you could then tear apart and dip into marinara sauce??? I think kids would like it. Might even be their most favorite part of the pizza!

    i was thinking of keeping some extra sauce on the side to dip the upper crust into, but mixing in different meats and cheeses to form a charcuterie board is an excellent idea. serving the upper crust as an antipasto while you let the pizza rest is brilliant. i've caught some of your videos here and there but this one got you a new sub.

    This is absolutely cool, but...the tiny piece of me that is a bit germaphobe wonders if at restaurants the chef is blowing into the dough with his breath...hm. Guess the heat would sterilize? Hm.

    Was watching Fat, Salt, Acid, Heat and Samin was in Japan for her salt episode. Before eating, the whole crew bowed their heads, brought their hands to prayer and said “Itadakimasu”! I immediately thought of you. Also, I think you’d love that show; it’s informative, beautiful, and the host is delightful!!

    While I think this is a perfect presentation piece, I also wouldn't be able to justify making a pizza with so much crust yet so few fillings ;u; I would have to stack mine pretty high, personally.

      Yes, I think the only way for this to turn out edible and justifiable would be to create a very thick layer of toppings, then cover it with the “lid” of dough, and blow in just enough air that it’s only a few centimeters of air between the toppings and the top dough layer. That way, you could slice it more like a pie, with a thick filling of cheesy topping goodness in between the dough layers! 😋

      @@BhappyD where I come from (Chicago area) that's called a stuffed pizza, we just didn't inflate the thing. Plenty of "toppings" inside and marinara & parm on top.
      I understand presentation, but I'd rather have one that was tasty as well as pretty/Impressive.

      Kenn Peters Chicago pizza is by FAR the best pizza in existence! There's no argument there! Only wish I lived closer to have it on a regular basis. The few times I have been to Chicago, pizza is one of the top priorities lol! 😂 It just can't be beat!

      Sadly, that wouldn't work. Pie crust does not puff out and stretch like pizza dough.

      you couldn’t do this with shortcrust pastry, it doesn’t have the same elasticity as pizza dough...any bread based dough you could because of the yeast

    How does everyone else like their pizza topped? I like about three times more cheese than Emmy, with either chicken and mushrooms and sweetcorn and bacon *or* parma ham and mushrooms and asparagus with an egg cooked in the middle. If the mushrooms are wild even better!

    Emmy, I know this video is "old" but i wanted to post what i do with cast iron pizza. Rather than using a peel and trying to slide it onto a smoking hot skillet, I lay the dough into a cold skillet and top it. Then I put on the stove top for 2 minutes (give or take depending on your skillet). I then cook in the oven as usual and peek at the base when it comes out to see if it needs another hit on the stove top. Just another way to do it. Thanks for your videos, i love them :)
