Mason, how about the float bowl screw, should that run all the way in? If I back it out a bit, it starts to spit fuel out of the overflow. Great video!

Aaron Van Wagner yes run that screw all the way in, the purpose of it is when you store the bike if you turn off the petcock and drain the gas that’s in the carburetor. Only something you need to worry about if you’re going to store the bike for more than a month. Thanks for watching👍🏻

I thought they couldn’t throttle up when in start, only in run??

What was the trick to stop the fuel from coming out of the spark plug opening? New plug? More torques?

Got my friends old pw50, cleaned the carb but I still can't get it to idle right been working on it or about a week now

Calum Conger I would replace the Jets sometimes those tiny jets are impossible to get clean if the bikes been sitting for a long time... if the carburetor is truly clean and you have a good fuel and spark it should run no problem. Good luck

I just got one of these for my son and it’s spitting oil out the exhaust after a few rides. Any idea why? I did add oil this morning that’s all I did different. Was not spitting oil before!

    • @MasonGeorgeMotorcycles
      @MasonGeorgeMotorcycles  3 роки тому +1

The oil that spitting out the exhaust is from the two-stroke make sure not the transmission oil so you might have overfilled the transmission... I would check the packing, if the exhaust packing is old it’s probably not soaking up any of the oil and you need to re-pack it.

Sounds like a tuning issue. Also check for air leaks.

You seem like a cool dude. Also I think I have the same bike different color. But with the same 2 stroke carb.
    I need help.
So when I got the bike it sounded like shit. So I went down to the local bike shop and said, “I don’t know a thing about the make, model or year of this bike but I need a carb kit please.”
He said, “ said it was a pw50. And gave me the kit.
(What I’m about to say next may not make sense because I don’t know motorcycle parts. Haha )
I cleaned the jets of the carb and JAMMED the gas and oil cables back into the carburetor and forced the carburetor closed and screwed it back together.
My friend had to pry one of the cables back out. He told me I was supposed to line the part that slides into the carburetor, up with the single straight thread so when I pull the throttle it slid up and down lets gas into the carburetor.
Well since we put it in the right spot now. My carb isn’t getting gas the bike used to work before I tried to replace the carb kit.
Should I buy a new carb kit or do I have to buy a new carb since I may have ruined it?
    Or what do you think?
    Please help me!

WashingTone my best advice would be to take it to a shop, you’ve probably already done more damage than was originally wrong with the bike.

It's funny how you can pick up a lot of bikes that are in poor running condition and all it takes is a little bit of TLC and WD-40 to bring them back to life and make them run and look good again. Without spending a whole bunch of money on it.

Aaron Martin TV this one was actually a customers bike, even better I didn’t have to spend any money lol
