Thats a nice black bumper you have on there glad to see you got it fixed!
Luckily it doesn't look too bad with a black bumper. Last week I picked up an 08 Aero bumper in Ice blue, but it needs some work before I fit it.
Great videos! These have been very helpful with my 2006 Aero. Thanks for posting all of them.
Thank you for watching and commenting, Benjamin 👍
Your vids are straight up gold. Just wish I could find the direnza intercooler for my tid lol
I think the pandemic has hit supply capabilities
@@CycloneCyd 100% bud. Just straight piped the saab. Intercooler next. They have a direct fit on ebay made by gravity but I'm not sure on the build quality
Great vid as always
Appreciate it!
Thanks for sharing 👏👏👏
Thank you for watching. Welcome aboard
WOW! the video quality on this one is really clear! What camera? Oh and good informational video as always lol
About my last 30 videos have been recorded on my Galaxy S7 Edge with Filmic Pro in 4k. You can see the other gear I use here bit.ly/CC_Gear. The sun was out for this one and I used an LED worklight for fill-in.
@@CycloneCyd Thanks for the info!
Nice, mind you I haven’t converted the ones the front ones yet, they are still in the box. I’ll get round to it when I’m feeling brave.
Thanks. I just need to reverse off the drive in the dark now to test them out, but they seem quite decent
Thank you for the knowledge that you give to 93 and Vectra c owners. Do you think that, with the relay scheme you made, Will it work on h7 for high beam and for rear position and brake and blinker? Thank you
Hi Cyd, thanks for this video! What reverse LEDs did you use? (Just to be clear, I’m talking about the bulbs that occupy the reverse light location on the bulb holder)
I was just thinking the same thing bud,
I'd like to do a set of custom rear lights for the same car but a September 2003 convertible
Hi Paul, would it be 1 on multi-plug for the convertible too? And do you Connect up the extra wire to spade connector from the second bulb. I successfully, finally fitted the switch back details today, as per your video. They look great. Is there a solution to the parking light, as it seems now, quite yellow in comparison? Keep up the sterling work, most appreciated xx
I see you have also changed your normal reverse lights to leds, they look good, where did you get them from ? I have done the indicator bulb change (as per video), but now (of course) the original reverse light looks yellow compared to the new reverse/indicator one. Thanks
Can you tell me how to turn off the sleep limiter function. I bought the 2008 saab 9-3 and it has 70mph limit set(some parents probably set it for their kids) so now its quite annoying that it makes noise when i go over 70mph. There is gotta be settings for it?
Wow, this is great. Been wondering about LED turn signals for a while. Can these same bulbs be applied to the front turn signals?
Yes, absolutely. See here: ua-cam.com/video/LjvxSXyzaMo/v-deo.html
@@CycloneCyd cheers mate, do you also have a link for the LED reverse lights you used? Or are they still originals?
Hi Cyd, could you please share a link for the reverse LEDs only? Thanks a lot in advance.
Great work. However, do you have a part number for the pushpin clips for the trunk/boot lining? Mine were old and brittle.
Oh, those clips really are cheap shit. Use these instead: bit.ly/Trim_Clips_8mm, they are so much better.
I think you did something to both of your rear lights .... paint the borders with black and made them like the ice-box version, did you ??
Yes and no❗ YES, I added a black border a la 'ice blocks', but No it's not paint, it's vinyl wrap.
I actually don't like the ice blocks because you can see the red and yellow bulbs through the clear lens and also I hate that horrible red reflector on the side that they put there for the US market legislation. They should have put a red marker in the bumper just for US cars IMO.
@@CycloneCyd Well, I wanna make it the way you did, but finally I didn't as I saw somebody did the same as yours by paint ( not vinyl wrap ) but I don't like it, so I just leave it as is !
Cyd I just started doing the “turkey Baster” method to change my brake fluid. Omg it’s like totally black compared to the fresh one I am putting in. I think though that I will need a lot of bottles to see a difference as with every go at it , I take out new on as well. Any idea how much it will take to see a difference ?
The total capacity of the brake system is about 1.2 litres. Sounds like it's not been bled for a long time (if ever), so bleed plenty through. When changing brake pads, folow my method of fluid bleeding so you're always topping up with fresh.
The aliexpress links can't be viewed in the USA because it says they can't be shipped to usa. Could you post a screenshot of the one you used or a link to another?
^^^^ Having the same issue
Shame about this video. I followed the one about autodim rear veiw mirror, it was fantastic. This one jumps about too quickly and has strange noises it the editing. I wanted to change my lights as in the video but will have to look else where for info. Disappointed. Your usually very good. Never mind everyone can have a bad day. Regards Norrie.
I have to say, I couldn't see the problem. You sure your internet connection was okay?
Hello Sir is ur bulb is 1156 or 1156-150'?
this one works on 2005?
Hi Cyd, where do you get the dual output LED's? Cheers Ross.
s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DdZ7dGT
Do you have resistors on the standard reverse lights to prevent flickering?
Resistors and relays: ua-cam.com/video/yAUAuaisZw0/v-deo.html
have you found red led bulbs to replace the tail and brake lights that work this easily?
Oh, gosh I wish❗ No, but I have got a scheme for setting up red LEDs for the tail & brake lights. I want to try it out and make sure it works okay before recommending it to viewers. Once I've got 'proof of concept' there'll be a video 👍
Bear with me on that link issue while I find something for you
Did you have a chance to find an led that works in the ice block lights for the running light/stop light
Do the decoders get hot when powered on?
Not when the white light is on, no. They do get warm when indicating though. It takes about 4-5 minutes for them to get quite hot to the touch, but you shouldn't ever need to be indicating for that long. I've ordered a new 'toy' - an infrared thermometer. So I'll be able to test how long it takes for them to get "too hot to handle" and I'll post results in the community section (with a link in description)
Does this work on 2008+ model years?
Yes, all model years
looks awesome but the link to where you bought them doesn't work anymore sadly
worked for me no problem: bit.ly/Switchback_DRL_t1
I'll try again from another laptop later
@@CycloneCyd that one worked tyvm
