To get rid of errors /flickering for LOW BEAM (most used) while changing to LED retrofits you do not need any of this. It is enough to reprogram the ECU using a Tech2 (original GM service computer): you need to tell the car that it has Xenons. Yes, Xenons even though you are puting LEDs in. This will disable the flickering and errors on the dash.
Using the Tech 2 to enable Xenons by readding the UEC works to stop the lights from flickering, but at least with my car, the dash errors still pop up for low beam light failure.
Really irritating that you need a programmer to make LEDs work on a 9-3 when on a 9-5 you don't need to do anything except install the bulbs. Was really hoping I would see something other than a MapTun box but this looks to be literally the only company on the planet that makes this work.
Totally agree with you 👍 That's why were have last months MY2007 (produced in July 2007) NG9-3CV. Convertible/cabriolet looks much better with the original front since they never upgraded the sides of NG9-3CV. @Jonas Kakarikas : how did you paint the bumper strips?
I have been wanting to go LED high, lows, and fogs on my 2011 NG 95. What LED manufacturer do you recommend for the simplest install and the highest light output? Also will I need to use the Map tuner? Thank you.
For the 2011 ng9-5 you Will not need snyting but to install the led for fogs and licensplate. MapTuner will not work on that car, only for ng9-3. And I havent tried leds for high/low beam
Shouldn't need it. I've put LED lights in my 9-5 (06/07/09 and 00) and have zero issues. Also on 9-5s, a halogen headlamp will plug-n-play into a Xenon car with zero faults. Wont work the other way though. Not sure about the NG 9-5 however, I think those have LED from factory.

One thing worth mentioning, it's not the ecu that is controlling your lighting, that is the BCM.
Very nice. Its been a thought of mine to figure out how to get some brighter lights. This is something definitely needing to be done.
1:41 Hello jonas...from northeast usa..west of nyc 200 k
sjukt bra, ända nackdelen är att det är dyrt
Skit dyrt Usch

It is the only easy way atleast 👌
Snyggt! 💪
Älskar den gamla aero fronten. 👍

@@JonasKakarikas how did you paint the bumper strips?
They where already painted
Hey Jonas, love your videos. Can you do LED enabler from Hirschmann & Koxha review, maybe compare even with Maptun's?
Dont have any car to test on at the moment 😉
Will be waiting than ;)

Tjena ! Jag har xenon på min 9-3 men dom gör inte som dina gör !
great video...thank you...from where you purchased Xenon HID and LED lights? thank you
They have been laying around in the garage for a while. Think they are from ebay... Dont have any links
Tips är led istället för xenon. Har bytt från xenon d1s till led och lyser betydligt bättre på saab 9-5 med orginal xenon.

Hi there, I have a 2006 9-5 with Halogen H7 bulbs. I would like to change the bulbs to H7 LED. Do you think the Maptuner would work?
No, Think The app only is for ng9-3
What about the rear lights ?
Hi how is the steering solution going?
Not there yet, have other stuff to take care of first
can you use tech 2 instead of maptuner x ?
With security access and know what to do it might be, but i dont know how
You can use only this app once on only 1 car? :OO And you have to pay for 100+ usd?
Yes 👌
Skit bra video!

can u not do that with the Tech2?
Nope
@@JonasKakarikas ohhh man.... fak!
I ordered the obd2 Tech2 to have, amd now I need to buy the MapTune as well 😫😫😫😫😫😫
What about t7suite?
T7suite is just for tuning
@@JonasKakarikas yeah i haven't dived deep yet to know. I like a diy solution over a pricey over the counter solution
I like this method but $500 is too steep.
You could get a loaner unit from maptun
Not worth the money that installer costs
This product work with 9-5 ng Jonas?

The ng9-5 2010 have the same issues/system as ng9-3.... Ng9-5 2011 it is removed and easy to install LED
