Very cool! I got sick of using my Saab Nav display with a 2007 map (USA), and wanted more modern features, as well! This unit came with a backup camera. Now, I have an idea where and how to mount the camera. I'm keeping the car. It's a 2010 9-3 XWD jet black metalic, 6 speed automatic. I learned that only 51 of these made it to the US, so it is a keeper! Thanks so much!

Did the same thing on mine a few weeks ago, stupidly I bought a number plate surround version though to save drilling the body panels which has now ended up blocking the button to release the boot 🤣 thankfully a bungee cord around the boot spring gave it enough tension that when I press the boot release in the key it raises itself now 👍

Well I didn't do any drilling here, just passed the wire between the panels

@@SaabUnleashed ah thought the 1 screw going into the camera was drilled but was it just from the reg plate light im guessing? Easy upgrade either way 👍 I used the ground from the lights too for ease of access, if you need to know it's pin 2 shared ground for both the lights and caused no problems. I do get flicker from the camera led lights when unlocking the car as canbus pulses the 12v trigger line I think, a resistor will sort that though I'd have thought

@@kerryw123 mine pulses as well, I think it's pretty cool :)

@@kerryw123 good advise about pin 2 by the way, that would have been easier

I had a rear camera fitted, very similar to yours, on my 9-3 convertible. Great idea I thought but I can hardly see a thing on the unit screen during the day because of the outside light shine. Great at night obviously, but the angle of the fixed unit screen is pants should’ve gone for a ‘tilt screen’ head unit!
