I'm glad I bought every version of the capcom Marvel fighting games when they were cheap. I had no idea they all worth that much now. I have all the Saturn, PS1, DC, PS2 and OG Xbox games. ( Plus Punisher on Genesis and Mutant Apocalypse on SNES ). I'm sure everything will be worth less after the collection comes out though
Even if release on XB, i would strongly recommend get this on PS4 or PC. This games will not have cross-play that mean it will totally depend on your console player base... That's PC an then PS4 (PS4 player can play with PS5 players, that's a huge marketshare) those are the 2 big fighting game communities right now.
And don't forget the Switch I know you're probably thinking that the switch sucks but actually a game like this collection will be perfect everyone even the fgc will get it for the switch and you can play it on the go. It's a win/win

The streetfighter five situation is a little bit different. Sony paid for PlayStation exclusivity for that title for consoles. This has to do with MT framework that Capcom uses, which is why Xbox skipped a whole bunch of other collections too.

Hey bro good video. I wish I would have gotten a series x day one myself because I got a Xbox one s back in 2020 and love Forza and gears 5. Got a PS5 last November and to me my frustration is the controller battery is bad, especially when I really start to get into the game the battery dies. When I was playing with Xbox controller I got a rechargeable batteries and it lasted a week. While PS5 last only 1 hour 😫. With all that said I will be getting a series x next month because Xbox show case was awesome 💯.
Yeah the battery life is not great on the Dualsense. I actually ended up buying a second controller when they went on sale for $39.99 just for that purpose.
I had to find YT videos for this. Go to PlayStation settings, accessories and controller. I made my Vibration Intensity weak. I tested it playing Callisto Protocol it didn't feel much different from max rumble. Actually better. Trigger effect Medium. Light brightness to Dim. 1 more thing. You have to keep the mute mic button on always. Unless your using it because it is always on. Hope that helps

I have all the available physical disc copies of MvC2 (plus the PS3 digital version). The IG Xbox version only plays well on the OG Xbox. It can run on a backwards compatible 360 but it is unplayable. It's full of screen tearing and flickering, slow down and sound glitching
6:14 No they won't. I play Capcom Fighting Collection on the Switch with the d-pad and I have been able to play them fine. There are other options ways to play it aside from joycons when it comes to the Switch and I think they're fun to play on the Switch. And I plan on getting the Switch version just to play it on the go AND have a physical copy just in case the collection gets delisted down years from now like with past Marvel games. Plus I rather buy the collection for full price and have it on either console than spending over 200 bucks for one game.

Many of us pay over $200 on a game with season pass and other stuff. You’re right, this game could easily been sold for a lot more and people would still buy it. Some paid $500 on the 1up arcade and will only be able to play the games that came in the arcade. I think if you can invest up to $200 for a console and the game is something doable.
Yeah no I'm good on having multiple consoles anymore, just because that particular console has one or two exclusive games on it i wanted to play. I did it for the first Last of Us, Metal Gear Solid 4 guns of the Patriots, Resident Evil remake and Resident Evil Zero, Metal Gear Solid twin Snakes. As well as the Star Wars Rogue Squadron Rogue leader games. But I'm a bit older now (40). So I've gotten tired of the clutter, inconvenience &or annoyance of needing multiple consoles to play different games. I'd rather just stick to one now. Helldivers 2 didn't get me to buy another console and I really wanted that game. So this new Marvel and Capcom collection doesnt stand a chance. And I've spent thousands of quarters playing the crap out of those games while i was in grade school (1995-2000). in the arcades sk8 key in the Bronx, bowling alleys and movie theaters.
I've been on team xbox since the 360... shame I had to buy a ps5 for this. Sony goes the extra mile even for exclusive MINIMAL features in games, TEKKEN 7 exclusively having legacy Costumes & the jukebox for example. The FGC player base in general is larger.
Xbox needs to get their damn backwards compatibility. A lot of these old Xbox and Xbox 360 games worked out. I have so many damn good fighting games on the 360 that won't work on the Series X. Fighting game enthusiasts should have a PS4 anyway, it's not expensive amd the selection is good. I went and bought the damn arcade board to play Xmen vs SF, which is worth it to me and the price of a PS4 and the game are half of what I paid 😂.
This is why I own multiple consoles because I know how bias some of these companies are to Western Consoles. Capcom did this with Mega Man Battle Network.
Still have my Dreamcast and MVC1 and MVC2 discs. MVC2 is also still installed on my old Xbox 360 and I have MVC3 on my PS3 (disc version because of the intro which was cut in the re-issue) as well as MVC3 installed on 360 so I'm good! I have a better solution for Xbox owners than buying a whole other console for one collection of games. For 20 bucks they can unlock developer mode on their Xbox Series consoles ( and the One as well) and download MAME and play all of these games for FREE. There are many great tutorials on UA-cam on how to set it up. Capcom has told xbox owners that their money is not good enough. So xbox owners shoud respond in kind with their wallets and not reward Capcom for spitting in their faces. I mean come on, Marvel vs Capcom 2 was on the 360 ( I still own it) they could have thrown xbox owners a bone and simply allowed it to be backwards compatible but they didn't. Because then they don't get money for it. So no, Xbox only owners who want to play this game but don't want to shell out hundreds of bucks for another console for one game collection. Emulation is your friend! Not only can you get all of these games that Capcom told us that our money isn't good enough for, but you can also get other games that Capcom hasn't released on console like Alien vs Predator and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, two great Capcom beat em ups. Pro controllers are good on the switch..and they have cheap controllers as well which are good. You can play the ps4 game on ps5 but hopefully the framerate dont drop.

What would I do if I have to buy a console and the game? I would put the console in a mini refrigerator box with a small TV on top and that would be my homemade MVC arcade cabinet. People should stop comparing the OG version. The collection version will be superior with online play, roll back net code, lobbies, high score charts and come bundled with 6 other games. Xbox sales were not great for the last Capcom collection, that’s why it is not releasing on Xbox.

The PS3 and XB360 both ran online with GGPO which is rollback netcode. But like you said it'll be superior to at least PS2 and OG XBox as DC was the best compared to the other two. Not releasing on XBox is more of technical issue but is sales is part of it because if they invest in MT Frameworks which is likely engineered for this collection to update to be compatible to Xbox Series and PS5 it may not be a good investment. Still have my copies for DC and PS2 (which for a crappy version can't believe the resale value).

Solution: Send tons of emails to Microsoft. They must buy Capcom; that is the only way to get the Xbox releases. Capcom is not going to support Xbox 100%. This will happen again in the future. They will release poor versions for Series S.

It's not Microsoft's fault; Square has closed and poorly sold studios, and Sony does it too. I think you are confusing cases. There are instances where companies buy out the competition to shut them down and prevent them from competing later, like Transformers vs. Gobots and Facebook buying similar companies. Microsoft, on the other hand, doesn't aim to close studios to have only one studio; it benefits from having many studios if they have projects and generate revenue.

I have an even better solution. EMULATORS. Every one of those games can be emulated on PC and Xbox right now with no issues. So much So, even the Phones can play every last one of those games.... FOR FREE. We are in the AI tech age where just about anything can be emulated in one form or another. This is not a big deal. So , Emulate and enjoy your games.
@VOAN - You can play online with the Emulators (depends on the Emulator itself). Look it up. Been there and have done it.. (online Play). Technology has advanced way beyond just playing offline only.

All of those games you mentioned other than MVC3 are live service games so publishers get most of their money from microtransactions not simply sales of the game. MVC3 is a XBOX 360 game which was a time when you could count on more sales from the XBOX user base.
@@Shinjiduo Elden Ring is not Live service. SF6 is not Live Service. COD has a live service game mode (Warzone), in it which is an ENTIRELY separate game that you can download and play for free. Tekken 8 is not a live service, and nether is 2K, or Madden.
I'm glad I picked up the games in this collection early too. Remember getting the MVC2 Original Xbox version when it was $40. Should've ordered 2. MVC2 for PS2 for about $50. Import prices were a lot better. The MVC2 on the Dreamcast for US and Japan were good pickups. It's all crazy now but I think I have the original lineup covered. Spending $80+ for a PS4 is definitely worth it.
The Steam version will run on a PC with 4GB of Memory and a 20 dollar video card. A PC or a PS4 will probably be worth it for someone who plays fighting games anyway.
Remember the Street Fighter 30th anniversary and Capcom fighting collection with Dark Stalkers game on Xbox and ps5. they were almost unplayable online, Some of the worst net code ever released. Street Fighter Alpha 1 and 2 weren't even playable online. What's the bet they do the same shit again. Make most of the games we want to play offline, with only 2 or 3 games actually online. I bought both of those games loving them and used to live at the arcade playing them and at home. within a few weeks, I stopped trying to play them online. because the netcode was disgusting. ruined my hype. I bet we will get the same shit again. Amazing games with god-awful net code and only a handful of them are actually online
Yes. People spend $600-$700 for an arcade one up(not me!), so yes. Me.....I have them all physically since day one, including the digital MVC orgin, MVC2 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. But to get em for a $100 is not bad at all. I thank God that I kept all my fighting games because inflation is terrible.
Also, because these are old ganes i wiuld not be surprised if they'd run perfectly on a basic laptop that you may have for other reasons like school or work, and you can just plug your xbox controller into that and play.
Along with a Series X i also have a PS5, Switch and a Steam Deck so at the end of the day Microsoft losses out because i can buy it everywhere console. I was planning to buy for my Series X, i'm mostly an Xbox gamer. Microsoft, sort it out. Xbox is the only place you can't play the collection, Microsoft... this looks bad.
PS4 is still going stong in us asian countries. Sure new units not selling well, but not alot of 2nd hand units in the market either. PS4 is the last true offline capable console there is. Same thing will happen to PS5 I hope. Long live physical media.

I think its a way to punish microsoft to let emulation be available on the series s and x that Capcom don't want to put it on the platform. Capcom is not a money hungry company and would value principles before making some.
the original Xbox port has a lot of issues with missing animations and sprites, it would be nice to have that version of the game playable on xbone and series x digitally at least but i think there's almost no shot at it happening
@@VirtualFootballer i know the game runs fine, the problems are the port itself missing animations and running slower than the arcade and Sega Dreamcast versions. it's better than not having anything at all but it still would not be as good as the new collection version which will be 100% arcade accurate
I'll be picking this up for PC myself. I can understand if that's not an option for some, but the consoles have a real bad track record when it comes to preservation across generations. As as bonus I'll be able to play it on the go with steam deck without having to shell out for a 2nd copy.
The issue is Windows NT technology was used in the making of MVC of the past the issue is MVC has Windows NT frameworks for Capcom registration purposes but Microsoft nolonger supports this framework since windows 98NT it's because of that Xbox had to opt out it's the reason why alot of games go delisted and never come back it's due to changes in networks and technology and devs ain't Keen to invest in remaking there classic IPS unless there's somuch want for it it has to be like the Xbox 2024 showcase before any developer decides to lift they dress to bring back a classic but maybe Capcom may be able to bring MVC to Capcom arcade stadium collection because that might not be Windows NT made and it's RE engine run so maybe Xbox could still get MVC but we'll get them on capcom arcade stadium launcher instead it could be vigourating for Capcom to update the Capcom arcade stadiums collections
Despite what everyone may think but the switch is the best console for this collection. Because you can play it on the go and the switch is basically an arcade port as in a lot of arcade games play perfectly on the switch. Not everybody plays on joy-cons although some may can but most of us have pro controllers and they are perfect for playing fighting games. Also the fgc are getting it for switch as well people like maximillion dood and Justin wong has said as much.
My wife wants a switch for the kids and now i got a reason to get it for myself too

There is no exclusivity in fact Marvel VS Capcom is on every platform otherwise It would be available PS5.

I've been on team xbox since the 360... shame I had to buy a ps5 for this. Sony goes the extra mile even for exclusive MINIMAL features in games, TEKKEN 7 exclusively having legacy Costumes & the jukebox for example. The FGC player base in general is larger.

Xbox needs to get their damn backwards compatibility. A lot of these old Xbox and Xbox 360 games worked out. I have so many damn good fighting games on the 360 that won't work on the Series X.

I went and bought the damn arcade board to play Xmen vs SF, which is worth it to me and the price of a PS4 and the game are half of what I paid 😂.
This is why I own multiple consoles because I know how bias some of these companies are to Western Consoles. Capcom did this with Mega Man Battle Network.

I have a better solution for Xbox owners than buying a whole other console for one collection of games. For 20 bucks they can unlock developer mode on their Xbox Series consoles ( and the One as well) and download MAME and play all of these games for FREE. There are many great tutorials on UA-cam on how to set it up. Capcom has told xbox owners that their money is not good enough. So xbox owners shoud respond in kind with their wallets and not reward Capcom for spitting in their faces.
I mean come on, Marvel vs Capcom 2 was on the 360 ( I still own it) they could have thrown xbox owners a bone and simply allowed it to be backwards compatible but they didn't. Because then they don't get money for it. So no, Xbox only owners who want to play this game but don't want to shell out hundreds of bucks for another console for one game collection. Emulation is your friend! Not only can you get all of these games that Capcom told us that our money isn't good enough for, but you can also get other games that Capcom hasn't released on console like Alien vs Predator and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, two great Capcom beat em ups. Because if these game are re released they won't be on xbox. Just sayin...

People should stop comparing the OG version. The collection version will be superior with online play, roll back net code, lobbies, high score charts and come bundled with 6 other games. Xbox sales were not great for the last Capcom collection, that’s why it is not releasing on Xbox.

The PS3 and XB360 both ran online with GGPO which is rollback netcode. But like you said it'll be superior to at least PS2 and OG XBox as DC was the best compared to the other two. Not releasing on XBox is more of technical issue but is sales is part of it because if they invest in MT Frameworks which is likely engineered for this collection to update to be compatible to Xbox Series and PS5 it may not be a good investment. Still have my copies for DC and PS2 (which for a crappy version can't believe the resale value).

It's not Microsoft's fault; Square has closed and poorly sold studios, and Sony does it too. I think you are confusing cases. There are instances where companies buy out the competition to shut them down and prevent them from competing later, like Transformers vs. Gobots and Facebook buying similar companies. Microsoft, on the other hand, doesn't aim to close studios to have only one studio; it benefits from having many studios if they have projects and generate revenue.

Look at your collection that you held up. I could be wrong, but it looks like 100% percent of those games are Xbox One games. Now obviously you are a collector of consoles, I am a collector myself...so I understand the pull on your heart to collect moreso than actually play. My point is: if someone was just trying to buy a console based off of Marvel vs Capcom Collection and they did not have disposable income...you would suggest a PS4 versus a PS5? Xbox games are coming to PS5 by the truckloads...why would the AVERAGE consumer (look at the sales between Xbox Series S/X and PS5) opt for a Series X over a PS5? Not just for this game, but for the long term future?

I don't think the xbox version of MVC2 online be free if it was released that way. But that is a great solution, make the 360 version Backwards Compatible with today's Xbox Consoles.

I have an even better solution. EMULATORS. Every one of those games can be emulated on PC and Xbox right now with no issues. So much So, even the Phones can play every last one of those games.... FOR FREE. We are in the AI tech age where just about anything can be emulated in one form or another. This is not a big deal. So , Emulate and enjoy your games.

All of those games you mentioned other than MVC3 are live service games so publishers get most of their money from microtransactions not simply sales of the game. MVC3 is a XBOX 360 game which was a time when you could count on more sales from the XBOX user base.

I'm glad I picked up the games in this collection early too. Remember getting the MVC2 Original Xbox version when it was $40. Should've ordered 2. MVC2 for PS2 for about $50. Import prices were a lot better. The MVC2 on the Dreamcast for US and Japan were good pickups. It's all crazy now but I think I have the original lineup covered. Spending $80+ for a PS4 is definitely worth it.

The Steam version will run on a PC with 4GB of Memory and a 20 dollar video card. A PC or a PS4 will probably be worth it for someone who plays fighting games anyway.

Remember the Street Fighter 30th anniversary and Capcom fighting collection with Dark Stalkers game on Xbox and ps5. they were almost unplayable online, Some of the worst net code ever released. Street Fighter Alpha 1 and 2 weren't even playable online.
What's the bet they do the same shit again. Make most of the games we want to play offline, with only 2 or 3 games actually online.
I bought both of those games loving them and used to live at the arcade playing them and at home. within a few weeks, I stopped trying to play them online. because the netcode was disgusting. ruined my hype.

Along with a Series X i also have a PS5, Switch and a Steam Deck so at the end of the day Microsoft losses out because i can buy it everywhere console. I was planning to buy for my Series X, i'm mostly an Xbox gamer. Microsoft, sort it out. Xbox is the only place you can't play the collection, Microsoft... this looks bad.
PS4 is still going stong in us asian countries. Sure new units not selling well, but not alot of 2nd hand units in the market either. PS4 is the last true offline capable console there is. Same thing will happen to PS5 I hope. Long live physical media.

the original Xbox port has a lot of issues with missing animations and sprites, it would be nice to have that version of the game playable on xbone and series x digitally at least but i think there's almost no shot at it happening
It runs fine on an original Xbox. Its Horrible on if played on an Xbox 360.

I'll be picking this up for PC myself. I can understand if that's not an option for some, but the consoles have a real bad track record when it comes to preservation across generations. As as bonus I'll be able to play it on the go with steam deck without having to shell out for a 2nd copy.

The issue is Windows NT technology was used in the making of MVC of the past the issue is MVC has Windows NT frameworks for Capcom registration purposes but Microsoft nolonger supports this framework since windows 98NT it's because of that Xbox had to opt out it's the reason why alot of games go delisted and never come back it's due to changes in networks and technology and devs ain't Keen to invest in remaking there classic IPS unless there's somuch want for it it has to be like the Xbox 2024 showcase before any developer decides to lift they dress to bring back a classic but maybe Capcom may be able to bring MVC to Capcom arcade stadium collection because that might not be Windows NT made and it's RE engine run so maybe Xbox could still get MVC but we'll get them on capcom arcade stadium launcher instead it could be vigourating for Capcom to update the Capcom arcade stadiums collections

Despite what everyone may think but the switch is the best console for this collection. Because you can play it on the go and the switch is basically an arcade port as in a lot of arcade games play perfectly on the switch. Not everybody plays on joy-cons although some may can but most of us have pro controllers and they are perfect for playing fighting games. Also the fgc are getting it for switch as well people like maximillion dood and Justin wong has said as much.
