I saw 2 channels who both mentioned him in their reactions, saying he was undoubtedly screaming at that announcement. And boy did he, but I can’t say I blame him
I saw a reaction compilation of the new Zelda game and the video had a clip of max putting the twitter image of the collection over the footage of the zelda game
Except the family member was still playable on multiple other platforms if purchased so... i would think bringing them up to modern platforms would bring a sense of relief instead of intense excitement.
@@cikame So you're telling me if I haven't met a family member that I missed for so long, even though I knew they're still around, just hard to meet face to face, I shouldn't be even mildly excited if I saw them in a fortunate meet?
It sucks that max is seemingly apologizing for being happy. This is some of the most insane shit I’ve ever been apart of in the fgc. Anything is possible, no one has the right to take away your happiness max, always remember that please.
I 100% agree. We're witnessing something that proves anything is possible and the love that Max has for a game helped make this a reality. He deserves to feel this joy and never have to apologize for it. We're all excited I would hope.
The people saying he overreacted weren't either Fighting game fans, nor knew Max at all, they were just random people in forums who heard of the reaction because it happened in a Nintendo Direct.
This brings a whole series of classic fighting games into current-gen console hardware. The FGC for these games is going to see a huge number of new players, and almost certainly a massive increase in popularity for the tournament scene for these games. that alone would be enough reason to get exited, but the fact that this could potentially lead to the revival of the entire series adds a whole other level.
Lol if you’ve been around the Internet and social media and UA-cam in particular, the last several years, you know very well that liking anything nowadays is apparently a sin of the highest proportion🤷♂️
Because those complaining are black pilled nihilists who are never happy and want everyone else to be as miserable as they are. That's the reason. They are allergic to joy and genuine happiness. They wouldn't know what to do with those feelings.
@fernandonava6693 This. I got tagged by some of my fgc friends, and I thought I was gettin' trolled Because we had been jokin' about it a few days prior, while gaming. ... And then I saw the trailer, and *I* lost my collective shit.
The thing with Max is, yes, he pops off to an extreme degree over things he loves, but that's the thing... it's over things he loves. The dood is living his best life fully embracing the things he loves. Real talk: We should all aspire to be more like Max.
Imagine people envying/not understanding pure passion so they instantly get suspicious and question the person motives. Max is as real as it gets. People questioning him betray more regarding themselves than him.
I almost never react to anything with hype, even if I’m feeling it internally. My wife watched me freak out and whip my hat on the floor when I saw that Capcom logo with “take you for a ride”. Max was absolutely real in that moment, as many of us were.
I agree, no one is allowed to have fun anymore, apparently. I mean, I see people get excited for the next generic co-op military/zombie shooter and I don't get the appeal but hey, they're excited for it so let them be. No need to go in guns blazing and kill their excitement.
@@Bl4ckH4ndoh god this rings soooo true. Now it's basically is it a souls like? Or if you go into the live chats of any presentation of new games coming out It's just a flood of L and mid. Just let people be happy for the things they like
To think we live in a society where people are critical of someone simply feeling excitement and passion for something that specifically means a lot to their life personally, a very sad, unfortunate and apathetic society indeed :(
It's so weird because I remember people getting so much crap for just sitting in chairs and nodding their heads (Giant Bomb) instead of climbing on desks and screaming (GameTrailers) back when FFVII Remake and Shenmue III were revealed lol. But oh no! Now everyone's a paid actor!
Max having to explain his reaction is telling of how sad the internet has become now. Trying to tear down or criticize Max for being genuinely excited and happy for something he clearly is passionate for out of suspicion of "shilling" or "faking a reaction because he already knew this was coming" is sad. I get that reaction videos have become a super common thing where people ham it up for views, but Max loves what he loves. And as explained in this video, it's been YEARS of build up that resulted in this monumental event. It's truly special.
Still enjoyed Max's reaction to the announcement over the "Wednesday Addams" streamers that "reacted" to the Twitter version. His reaction was more relatable cause that was how I reacted to seeing my teenhood dream of finally owning the games I played on the arcade version of those in my local video rental store come true. I actually teared up seeing Marvel vs. Street Fighter cause I had more fond memories of that game than the rest of the games in that collection.
I found out about MvC Collection when the trailer appeared on my UA-cam list which was half a day after it was announced. I played all Vs. Series in the arcades back in the day and consider myself a very casual player at best of fighting games. My jaw dropped when I saw the trailer. I can only imagine how the people who live and breath fighting games were feeling. Max’s freak-out is totally understandable.
@@LatinGiudo817 Real ones went crazy immediately seeing that Ryu styled Capcom logo lmao. That was the exact moment where you just knew, we finally won
Listen as much as I love mvc, a collection is fine enough but a new game would be terrible with the MCU’s downfall and how poorly Disney is nowadays with their movies
Your reaction to the revival of MvC, was pure, real, genuine, and heartfelt. It was the best moment ever. You are allowed to celebrate, and express your feelings, on what you love "Resurrection!!!" MvC is back, and the wait was worth it.
Key word: real. Most reaction UA-camrs just scream in audibly or yell "No" a million times over in a cringe way at every little thing in a trailer. Between MVC and anything Final Fantasy 7 related, you can see and feel the genuine hype. He gets excited but keeps himself grounded enough because he knows he still has to present himself to an audience.
Yeah. I'm not into fighting games at all really, just not my thing. But I completely understood why he was so happy. The game hasn't been possible to get (legally) for YEARS. Outside of those I think ~$500 arcade things (forgot the name). Which obv doesn't compare to this collection with all the added features, online MP etc. I was super happy for him and all the other fans when I watched the direct on Max's stream.
@@sean8102Even with that arcade cabinet from a year or two ago, that was specifically NA only. I was absolutely devastated when I tried to order it from the UK and only found out the restriction on their website
As someone who has never played an MvC game and was just barely aware of their existence, and I just watched your reaction to the Direct out of boredom, I am very, very grateful for the context and very happy for you guys. :)
Same here! My only experience with MVC2 was encountering it for like 10 minutes in an arcade at the end of the 1900's... I beat my brother by mashing buttons until I managed to figure out how to spam Hulk's throw. We called it "the Hulk-swing" and considered it the most overpowered attack in all of superheroes ever. XD Some people only make passing memories with a thing. Some people are so intertwined with it that it truly forms them, and becomes a part of them... to the point where _they themselves_ become a part of _it._ Whenever I see a thing from the past get resurrected, especially "obscure" video games I simply never knew about, it always brings a happy feeling to my heart to imagine that somewhere out there, someone is screaming and leaping for joy.
I couldn’t watch Max live on Twitch but I could watch the Direct live on UA-cam. I imagined him spinning around on his chair screaming then running around his room screaming
I applaud your reaction! I was like your screaming in my inner self. I thought the franchise was dead! I played MvC2 A LOT on a local arcade store back in the day. We were a small community of hardcore fans spending the time having fun at the arcades. The rush and thrill of playing against a more skilled player was an awesome feeling! Thank you for the FreeMvC2 movement. I BET it help to see this collection now. Greetings from Mexico! 🇲🇽 See you on MvC!
12:16 oh it exploded all right. I'm sitting at home back in 2021 seeing that hashtag of all places on a poster in the front row of an aew Dynamite taping. I was like, wow
I was in Max’s chat during the direct. Most of us were just chilling watching the Phantom Brave trailer, and when the announcement came, every single emotion went through multiple peeps, especially Max. No one saw it coming, and after this, I thought back to my childhood, when I would play MvC2 in high school during lunch, which is when I learned how to play fighting games proper. To say MvC2 and MvC series as a whole has a profound impact on people would be the understatement of the year. And my excitement still remains!
I have a funny story about MvC. I’m an illustrator/ artist and I have a lot of friends in the marvel comics industry and I have friends that used to run a video game store that did repairs. One day, a guy in a suit comes in with a busted Xbox and asked if he could get his son’s system fixed by the next day, my buddy that did the repairs said “it’s impossible with the pile of repairs that are ahead of him”. I recognized the guy from somewhere and then he said, “look, I work at marvel and I can give you whatever you want if you can fix this in time for his son’s birthday.” Then it hit me, he was the president of marvel entertainment at the time. My buddy, went into the cabinet, pulled out a copy of MvC and said, make this happen! The guy from marvel said, I don’t know if I can do that, my buddy said, “then I can’t fix your Xbox!” He looked at everyone in the store and said, you guys really want MvC?! Everyone told him, “yes!” The look of shock and surprise on his face when everyone told him how much they wanted it is something I will never forget.
That’s the most baller move possible right there. Like get us Mvc possible in some form on modern consoles and maybe then we can talk. Your friend under the assignment.
@@Tweaked818 I used to go to the marvel offices back in the day and it was like a dork’s paradise! Everyone was having fun, even playing video games! It wasn’t until Disney took over when it went corporate. Back then, you didn’t have to have an appointment to go to marvel. When Disney took over, you weren’t allowed to walk around alone!!
So Max is Arlo in a way, Arlo wanted Paper Mario to comeback and TTYD was his flagship and Max wanted MvC to comeback and MvC2 was his flagship and like fate in 1 year time, Arlo got Mario RPG Remake, TTYD Remake and Mario & Luigi new game and Max finally got not only MvC2 but the entire collection. And is impresive that is in a Nintendo Direct where both of them saw their wishes come truth.
difference is Max didn't act like it was constantly the end of the world anytime a MvC game WASN'T announce whereas Arlo like a lot of other Paper Mario fans just made rage bait videos monthly talking about how pissed off they are that Thousand Year Door 2 isn't a thing yet
Yeah but Arlo was annoying about it. The more he talked about it the more I wanted him to not get "real" paper mario again. He spoke as if just because he wasn't enjoying something anymore, it was somehow the end of the world. At least paper Mario was still being sold and released. Max is chill. And it was about something that was stuck in legal hell for decades.
The MvC announcement is to Max what the Metroid Dread reveal was to Arlo. A phoenix rising from the ashes, over a decade (or two) after it was last seen. It's not hard to understand why this is such a big deal, and that's without even going into all of the effort Max poured into bringing it back.
I was a heavy Marvel reader circa 1991 to 1995, and I didn't realize at the time that the arc I was on was apparently extremely common. X-Men felt fresh from Claremont and Lee's issue 1, and eventually post the Image exodus all of the creativity seemed to have flowed out of the company besides Andy Kubert, John Romita Jr., and Ron Lim. Seeing COTA in arcades in 1994 seemed like a gift, especially since it called back to a version of the property that was already fading.
That's why Children Of The Atom is my favorite arcade game of the 1990's. I loved the Chris Claremont/Jim Lee run of X-MEN, and I stayed an active reader of the X-MEN Universe until 2003. I miss the early 1990's in Marvel Comics. That was fun times.
CoTA was a dream come true to me, especially being a hardcore claremont X-Men fan from 80’s- early 90’s, and after the Pryde of the XMen one-shot episode. When SFll came out in 91, all I could think about was “only if they made an XMen ver. of this!”
Gotta feel like the people reacting negatively toward Max were never fans of his to begin with. If they knew anything about him, he wouldn't have had to make this video explaining why this collection was so important. And it's not like he was the only one reacting that way. There have been more than a few reaction-of-reaction video compilations about this announcement with plenty of other streamers/YTers.
Tons of people on the Dexerto tweet of a clip on Max screaming at MvC collection that i saw were people that doesn't even follow Max/watches his streams etc. They're just those people that see every content creator/influencers screaming wildly are all fake reactions
Exactly this. The people who chatted shit about Max online aren't fans of his, or people who aren't aware of him which I can't fault them for. But Max had a similar reaction when FF7 Remake was announced, and his fans knows which games Max favours and will jump to the moon if a good announcement is shown.
he is shilling a lot of games, not MVS2 but other fightings games, some them are actually shit but it feels he's getting paid not to say shit not to hurt his "employers"
Facts! And I agree. The haters can go where the sun don't shine. Literally. I suspected Max was knee-deep in the history of this particular game that he loves. You don't have that sort of reaction if it’s not personal.
Welp...if only these modern kids grown up from previous generation (gen Z) also know people's love and passion for their beloved franchises/IPs, let alone respect how great these are back then, and that's a shame these kids' ignorance had
@@alyasVictorio To be somewhat fair, when most younger audiences hear about a beloved franchise, it's probably gonna be something along the lines of "It sucks now", thus driving away potential new fans That being said, Max deserves NONE of the criticism he's gotten for simply reacting to one of, if not, his favorite franchise officially coming back on modern hardware and the like
"Look at that old smelly nerd getting excited about a 30 year old video game franchise... Lol!" It really is astonishing how ignorant the young kiddos are about legacy IPs and their significance to culture, even during these trying times.
@MacUser2-il2cx That's what kept the MCU from being truly great. Several key characters like Wolverine, Deadpool, Magneto and Dr. Doom had to be omitted. We were lucky to get Spider-Man.
Exactly!? Max fought for this but not just him the whole community and all his followers and well we won we did we actually did it😭🙂↕️👏it’s time to celebrate 🎉
i loved his reaction to the other games as well, like the new zelda and metroid new zelda reaction "OH MY GOD MVC IS BACK" new metroid reaction "OH MY GOD MVC IS BACK"
Max covering the screen with the new key art for the collection the _exact second_ it was revealed you'd be playing as Zelda in the new Zelda game was the icing on the cake for me. People lost their minds at that but not Max, lol.
@lukebrady65 tbf Metrod Prime 4 already got announced like what 7 years ago. We at least knew it was being developed even with the long drought in news. This just came outta nowhere and was revealed during a highlight reel.

I yelled too. All those tournaments at Santa Monica and Venice were great memories of mine back in the day. I totally understand where Max is coming from, it really is like seeing an old friend come back to life.
I was writing it down for wishlist and such. And praying even tho I don't believe in God. That day it felt like I was dreaming still no joke. I still feel like I'm dreaming.
@@timothyli-dark_smilez6410 You better start going to church. God delivered! He literally reached his divine touch into the gaming industry and made this possible lol.
It's not really that insane. Old games get ported all the time and just because it's been a few years doesn't mean there is some conspiracy to keep it down.
It’s not that weird. Disney bought Fox, along with the rights to make theatrical films of X-Men and FF. Now they no longer have an incentive to pretend those characters don’t exist.
Anyone dogging on Max for his reaction, saying it's faked or whatever, are literally clueless. They just literally have no idea why its so important. I'm glad MvC2 is back :>
You are allowed to be happy, Max. Those who try to bring you down for seeing a long since unlisted game come back into circulation are just miserable sons of guns. Hopefully, you're ready to take some peeps for a ride when MvC 2 comes online again.
I understand how you feel, Max! I was in high school and was obsessed with these games! I remember when they would come out I would immediately go to Toys R Us and get a ticket to own a PS1 copy, particularly XvS, MvS, MvC1! Hearing all the intro and character selection music jammed chronologically in the Nintendo commercial hit me with waves of feels!
I was watching the Direct with some friends, and as soon as the MvC collection was announced I immediately thought "oh boy, I bet Max's losing hid mond right now" Your reaction is so funny that I've watched it several times by now, because it is impossible not to see how much you care about this series
Even more so when people are wagging their fingers at him about "Well duh there are still ways to play these games" while dribbling their lips and pretending to be Napoleon. Like I don't think anybody in the know or with sense is going to discount their are options to play these games, but its like different strokes for different folks and its like a whole collection of them in one spot and adding some much needed quality of life features like that hitbox display for MvC2.
@@TheShuuman I wanna smack people through the screen whenever their response to wanting an old game back is, "just emulate it". That may be enough for some people but it just feels nicer to play things remade for modern hardware and with long-needed changes. Plus being able to spend money on an official release lets people on the business side know that we want more things like this.
@@DOCTOR.DEADHEAD Lots of people only emulate it because they can't get it anymore. Many would happily pay to get old things. (F-Zero GX please Nintendo! I WANT to pay for this!)
I still have this odd feeling that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 was the signal beacon of premonition for this Marvel vs. Capcom collection to come back. I remember it was strange to see like all those licenses all coming together at once where nobody has done it for like a decade. Given that was a Nintendo published game, it kind of now makes more sense why it gets announced at the Direct.
i saw a comment on another reaction basically saying capcom (and max) were dumb because they perceived the release of the collection as taking away from nintendo releasing something else that they wanted.
Cause he reacted harder to a rerelease of 30 year old games so much harder than anything new and exciting. He's allowed to react however he wants, but I imagine thats why.
@@ZainKaneko So dumb people saying dumb stuff, huh. These people might be very young and/or new to video games. And they act like Capcom forced the release there? Like, it's all business, Nintendo approved to be there... People are crazy
I didn't even know half that context of your concerted efforts and how much it seemed like it wasn't going to happen, and I still not only thought your reaction was valid, but my first thought when I saw "This one's gonna take you for a ride" was "ohhhhh man, Max is going to lose. His. MIND." XD
The first thing i did when i heard the news was quickly searching for your reaction because i knew what this meant for you. That reaction was totally wholesome, we are very happy for the collection, but we are more happy for you
Can’t wait for this, love how nearly everyone’s reaction was “max must be losing it” shows how much impact he has had. Man I can’t wait for this collection so I can finally play MvC 1 and 2 for the first time. Still can’t believe it’s back after everything, some don’t realise how big of a deal it is… 💙❤️
Every other reaction to this Nintendo Direct I saw from anyone who had any inkling of the FGC were all saying something in the lines of "Max must be losing his fucking MIND right now"
It's fine that you freaked out! I freaked out too when I saw it announced in the Direct, I've been wanting a collection ever since after MVCI was announced.
Bro, seeing that moment live made me so happy seeing you become a 12 year old screaming girl. My first tournament was an MvC2 tournament where i got 1st place so it has a special place in my heart too. Excited its coming back.
your reaction was definitely valid. the vs series was part of my teenage years growing up and I thought I would never see these games on modern councils. I am stoked. so happy
I am actually working on MVC2 tutorials at the moment and your reaction was what inspired me to do so! It made me realize how much I missed playing MVC1 and 2, I love these games to death but somehow...I forgot about them. These past few days I'm having so much fun rediscovering them and I can't wait for this collection!
Keep working on those tutorials, people are sure gonna need them in a few months. The great thing is for a bunch of the MVC 2 characters, a lot of that stuff is gonna retroactively apply to their earlier appearances, except obviously the trio Hyper Combo stuff.
Oh no, Max you are 1000% valid for having the reaction you did. I couldn't function for the rest of the day when I saw the notification pop up on my phone that MAHVEL was back. Seeing your reaction brought just as much joy as kids opening presents on Christmas. We made it Doods, MAHVEL IS BACK.
Max, there’s no need to explain your passion for MVC. Watching your stream live when they announced was legitimately how I felt and honestly man. Your love and influence across the MVC community made me and I hope several others too immediately thought what your reaction would be in fact I actually hopped on twitch to watch your live stream as soon as the Direct was over because honestly I was nail bitting MP4B but to say the MVC collection didn’t make me go through roof is a major understatement. I was literally in the process of buy a 360 solely for one reason only mainly because I genuinely still have MVC 2 and Origins when they were available (even the MK arcade collections haha) and before the 360 shop closes up haha but the fact I was going to go out of my way to get a 360 again just for MVC alone goes to shows how MVC is not just the game for gamers, but for the whole world. Thank you Max for still being the leading spear and I honestly hope Capcom or even Marvel give you a nod for showing that MVC is still here and kicking ass!
I'm still reeling man. Every time I see your reaction, Max, it gives me goosebumps. I also needed it cause a parent of mine was in the ICU and I was in low spirits, but that announcement cratered my back to high spirits. So, I get your reaction man.
It's practically a miracle that this collection is happening at all, so with any luck Marvel leadership pulled the damn stick out and is actually being somewhat decent to work with in making _anything_ happen.
Given how the MCU has been going down the shitter, they really can't afford to hem and haw about any projects that are guaranteed to print money like this.
This video was awesome, because I always had heard bits and pieces of rumors and I understood it had something to do with availability of the game on digital/physical platforms, but now I finally know the whole story of why this is such a turning point in this fandom. This is AMAZING. For this game to come back on all platforms with rollback netcode is like an endangered/extinct species suddenly multiplying like rabbits.
I was slapping my desk and doing my best to prevent myself from screaming when MvC got revealed at the Direct. I didn't even know I could reach that strongly to an announcement, I completely understand you. Your reaction was very relatable to me.
Every single video I’ve watched about this Nintendo Direct has had at least one comment about you. I’m not a fighting game fan, but game, this moment was huge.
It's REAL TALK because Capcom was able to get the licensing rights from Disney. Which they already own Marvel. What's suprising is how the heck did Capcom make this happen?
Honestly if it wasn't for marvel vs Capcom I would have never gotten into the Fgc on a casual level and more importantly I would have never had stumbled cross the assist me videos and Maximilian without this franchise so to see it back touches my heart. Like cyclops used to say "dreams Don't die"
I don't think some people understand just from a licensing point how difficult something like this can be. I have wanted and waited for years for this. Hopefully the future looks brighter.
Licensing isn't difficult. It's a very streamlined process. And contrary to what Max says, there was never any refusal to work with each other at Marvel/Capcom.
They don't know Max. That's the only reason. They saw his reaction blew up even more than everyone reacting to Zelda or Metroid or Mario & Luigi, so a bunch of people who don't know Max saw it.
The main people who probably saw all these reactions and when "tf are you people freaking out over? It's just a *damn* retro game collection!" are either: A. Way too young to have any clue what MvC is/have any reverence for this specific section of Marvel media B. people who aren't major fighting game fans, thus have little to no interest in something like this to begin with (kind of the flipside to people like me who were bored by most of the RPG stuff sprinkled in-between the good stuff this past Direct) C. Nintendo fans who are probably only fans of Capcom's non-fg stuff, or Nintendo fans who never encountered this series on any of the company's flagship consoles in the past (this is the very first time *anything* Marvel vs Capcom is coming to a Nintendo platform) or D. Fanboys/bitter people who didn't get something they wanted in this direct.
I love your passion for the things you enjoy. I felt the same way and went and pre-orderd a physical copy.. they will never take it from me again. If people didn't understand your reaction it's because they were never fans to begin with. My hope is this leads to a MVC4.
I share the same sentiments as everyone else who saw the announcement and thought "Max is going to love this". I waited for his reaction to the Direct upload and it did not disappoint.
Yeah, MvC didn’t happen because Disney and Marvel pushed the X-Men and Fantastic Four books back into a corner; Cyclops dead, Wolverine dead, weird teams and bad storylines. Fantastic Four were broken up, with Johnny being an Avenger, Thing taking time off and Reed traveling with his family through the multiverse restoring it. With how ‘90 inspired the X-Men designs are in the MvC games, X-Men rights back with Marvel and X-Men ‘97 blowing up the way it did, this collection with several X-Men related stuff makes sense. And oh the Punisher is appearing in the new Daredevil show too. But happy I can finally play MvC 2 on a Nintendo system. Have to import a physical copy from the US though…
I'm behind hyped and excited for these games to come back. These games were my childhood, some many memories after soccer games, during parent's bowling tournaments, playing them with my brother, friends, and random people. I nearly cried when I saw the initial video about these games getting released.
Love you Max. I feel your excitement cause we’re all living this dream together. I just need that damn date for the collection already (I’m thinking EVO)
Some people will find any reason to critique and/or get upset about anything, your reaction was valid and there’s many people that had the same if not similar reactions like you did. Haters can go somewhere else in their lala lands.
I've never played any of the marvel vs capcom games except for a little bit of 3 with some friends back in my teen years. I'm actually looking forward to finally bring able to start my journey with these games.
Don't worry man, plenty of us knew that was genuine and were hype as hell to see you filled with joy. I had MvC 1 on MAME as a kid and it was the only game that I had access to for a while. I'm excited to be able to play it again and now potentially with friends!
i totally understood why you freaked out, the same way I did with Miles Edgeworth Investigations. Us fans have been begging capcom for years to bring Investigations 2 to the west but only fan translations have existed. So happy cant wait for september!
We all fought long and hard for this day to happen as a community, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the old Capcom logo, that’s how I knew it was gonna go down
I don't get how anyone can call you a shill. I am a casual fighting game fan and every time Max starts listing all the different fighting games using the acronyms it sounds like a different language. Then he starts going through the history of MVC, clearly this guy has a deep love and passion for this game.

To think we live in a society where people are critical of someone simply feeling excitement and passion for something that specifically means a lot to their life personally, a very sad, unfortunate and apathetic society indeed :(

That is the dangers of extreme cynicism and pessimism!
The guy from marvel said, I don’t know if I can do that, my buddy said, “then I can’t fix your Xbox!”
He looked at everyone in the store and said, you guys really want MvC?! Everyone told him, “yes!”
The look of shock and surprise on his face when everyone told him how much they wanted it is something I will never forget.
That’s the most baller move possible right there. Like get us Mvc possible in some form on modern consoles and maybe then we can talk. Your friend under the assignment.

And is impresive that is in a Nintendo Direct where both of them saw their wishes come truth.
Arlo also lost it at Metroid Prime 4. That was another one of his big ones.
difference is Max didn't act like it was constantly the end of the world anytime a MvC game WASN'T announce whereas Arlo like a lot of other Paper Mario fans just made rage bait videos monthly talking about how pissed off they are that Thousand Year Door 2 isn't a thing yet
@ciregoku no, he didn't, but if that's what you think then that's fine
Just proof that you need to be the change you want to see. You can't wait around for someone else to make your dreams come true.
Yup!
Or Super Mario RPG for Papa Genos.
Hell, I remember how I felt when Metroid Prime was announced after the franchise had skipped the N64.
When SFll came out in 91, all I could think about was “only if they made an XMen ver. of this!”
@@EGacias-tn8nh It was a shocker when Konami made that arcade beatemup based on Pryde as well

It's REAL TALK because Capcom was able to get the licensing rights from Disney. Which they already own Marvel. What's suprising is how the heck did Capcom make this happen?
Now that Disney owns Fox, the executives don’t think they have a financial incentive to bury half the Marvel roster.
Maybe Kevin feige is a fan
like how Nintendo did with smash, a miracle
Wouldn't doubt Disney reached out to Capcom instead since their revenue is slowly sinking.
This isn't the first time Capcom has ever interacted with Disney. Capcom used to do a lot of licensed games for them during 90s and early 2000s.
I love hearing about all this again, I started watching max when I first got into MVC3 in 2011. Been watching ever since!
I really hope max realizes how much of a role he played in making this happen. Without him we prolly wouldn’t be here
I hope so too!
"DREAMS DON'T DIE" - Scott Summers
I don't think some people understand just from a
licensing point how difficult something like this can be.
I have wanted and waited for years for this. Hopefully the future looks brighter.
Licensing isn't difficult. It's a very streamlined process. And contrary to what Max says, there was never any refusal to work with each other at Marvel/Capcom.
@@AmyZonkers it is incredibly difficult when we're talking about multi-million/billion dollar ips????
When max said that the arcade1up thing was probably all we were going to get from a revival, it really took the wind out of my sails.
I didn't even know WTF I was doing in Puzzle Fighter, but I was still putting in coins!!!
Capcom really took us for a ride with this one. Can't wait.
Is there anyone who… didn’t understand this? How is that possible?
Too young I guess?
That's what I'm wondering.
They don't know Max. That's the only reason. They saw his reaction blew up even more than everyone reacting to Zelda or Metroid or Mario & Luigi, so a bunch of people who don't know Max saw it.
The main people who probably saw all these reactions and when "tf are you people freaking out over? It's just a *damn* retro game collection!" are either:
A. Way too young to have any clue what MvC is/have any reverence for this specific section of Marvel media
B. people who aren't major fighting game fans, thus have little to no interest in something like this to begin with (kind of the flipside to people like me who were bored by most of the RPG stuff sprinkled in-between the good stuff this past Direct)
C. Nintendo fans who are probably only fans of Capcom's non-fg stuff, or Nintendo fans who never encountered this series on any of the company's flagship consoles in the past (this is the very first time *anything* Marvel vs Capcom is coming to a Nintendo platform)
or D.
Hell yeah, love Max's Reak Talks.
You willed the collection into existence!
Max when this was announced EVERYONE WANTED TO SEE YOUR REACTION. IT WAS PERFECTION. 😊
Some people will find any reason to critique and/or get upset about anything, your reaction was valid and there’s many people that had the same if not similar reactions like you did.
Haters can go somewhere else in their lala lands.
Haters can get rekt😤 he’s allowed to be happy!
Because MVC2 is BACK 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
I've never played any of the marvel vs capcom games except for a little bit of 3 with some friends back in my teen years.
WE DID IT MAX! WE GOT IT BACK!
Max is pretty much the only Twitch streamer I like and follow, so I'm honestly really glad he's happy.
Professor Max teaching the youths.
We all fought long and hard for this day to happen as a community, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the old Capcom logo, that’s how I knew it was gonna go down
OMG that assist me footage!!!! 🤯
I don't get how anyone can call you a shill. I am a casual fighting game fan and every time Max starts listing all the different fighting games using the acronyms it sounds like a different language. Then he starts going through the history of MVC, clearly this guy has a deep love and passion for this game.
Max looks so different twelve years ago. Age and experience has done him good.
lol he was young a f . of course he looks diff. now he oldge and kids and sht lol
Seeing him go crazy over the Marvel X Capcom Collection was truly awesome!
He just followed MvC instructions.
After all, what does the announcer say when you put in a coin?
@@ReikuYinwell it's either "X!", "MARVEL SUPER HEROES!", "This is X-MEN vs. STREET FIGHTER!", "WELCOME TO THE ADVENTURE!", "LET'S GO CRAZAY!!", or a gunshot in The Punisher's case
I still play it on my 360. I saw the announcement, and i said yooooooo i gotta see Max!!!!! Man.. although i still play it a lot, i fear one day I won't be able to keep rockin' it out because microsoft will eliminate things like updates and the actual 360 store. I dont know how that will affect the games that i already purchased, like mvc2, but i am so happy they are making the game and the other ones again. Im getting them physically. ( them ), haha. I love your channel, man.
It was an amazing moment to see Max's reaction was brilliant. I went through a similar experience over the last 2 years when we got those remasters of Project Zero 5 and 4
I love that you just happened to have that specific shirt on at the time!
