"Them's Fightin' Herds" had a good character select theme, but it's tricky to listen to, because the lead instrument changes depending on which character you have currently highlighted.

Menu 2 is my personal favorite but definitely pleased to hear the Smash menu themes!
@@henrychen1835smash 64 is one of the best ones imo
Soul calibur 2 select theme stays rent free in my head after all the years playing that gem
OG Street Fighter V has some fantastic music, and the OG character select screen with the world behind (before the updates) is the best.
Max, this was by far one of the most fun videos you have made. Thank you.
Bro that Ballz theme and the dancing had me in tears 😂🤣 I still cant breath 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mortal Kombat Deception Character Select theme is just PERFECT !
The DOA 2 character select hit me with memories I forgot I had. Nice suggestion chat!
I have the MVC character select song as my ringtone. Definitely a banger 🔥🔥🔥
11:00 I also like soul edge's "Epic calling". It's just like its calling you to an epic fight.
"rate the fighting game opening" should be a thing 👌
TEKKEN 2 AND 3 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tekkem Tag 2 was epic
Dissidia, Melee and Brawl may come out on top!
Hearing D.O.A. without "PLEASE SELECT YOUR CHARACTER" is so weird
"Them's Fightin' Herds" had a good character select theme, but it's tricky to listen to, because the lead instrument changes depending on which character you have currently highlighted.
The theme itself isnt really that great, but it changing for what character is highlighted is awesome.
I love that detail!
@@neonoah3353 I discovered something I didn't know about, which is that a separate instrument track plays for player 2, meaning that there's a combination for every pair of fighters
How does that work with multiple players?
@@Fuzunga when there is no one selected yet, the character select music is just a drum beat. Once player 1 chooses a character, it plays that specific character's melody. When player 2 chooses a character, it adds that character's instrument to the background of player 1's melody.
Lots of great tracks to add to my playlist after seeing this. Was honestly a little surprised Get Into the Wave from Sonic the Fighters wasn’t brought up. Always thought it went, and all of StF’s other tracks went nuts
I've never heard Melty Blood's before, but I thought it was really good. Way better than 5 or 3.
CVS 1 is alright, but when you play the Arcade version in single player, it kicks it up to a higher notch.
Bushido Blade. Amazing. Also, TMNT Tournament Fighters on SNES was so chill but that jazzy fun your looking for on the SNES. Lastly the editing and effects on this vid was top tier. Assist Me levels.
For the past two years of highschool I've had the mvc theme as my alarm
The effects on the ratings are a visual upgrade i didn't know i both wanted and needed to see xD
The MVC themes are all so nostalgic to me, they're so good
I feel like the most underrated character select theme is “Victorious boxers 2: fighting spirit character select”
Doing character select music is a different vibe when the song starts to kick in certain parts of the music. Amazing job to the editor for putting this much into an hour video very well done.
Thank you for this, dudes. This was the best. If only Kenny was here too to share his thoughts and dance along with y'all. 😂
10/10 editing, this typa stuff was made to be edited and whoever edited it did an amazing job. I didnt finish watching yet and I already laughed and smiled that my face hurts. 15:09
Great video! This was a really great watch and the editor did a great job on a lot of parts to make certain moments extra funny, lol.
The Ballz music video was 90s MTV worthy
Insane if you think the uni character select is boring that theme is so damn good
You hear it so much that it becomes boring. Un2's is a banger though
I just never got tired of it I guess lmao
disrespecting the goat raito like that...
That's just your opinion
@@dealt indeed it is?
i’m GENUINELY upset that y’all didn’t listen to MK: Deception’s character select. absolutely criminal of you, Max
Was hoping I wasn’t the only one. The groove, the 16th note hi-hat accents, it just gets you into a flow state-like mindset, calculated and ready for anything. EASILY the best one in the series.
Idk how many times I replayed the “Ballz 3D” portion of this video but man the dancing had me and my son laughing like crazy 😂😂😂 I can’t believe that game made the list alongside Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
Its good to know a lot of people have and enjoy an occasional jam session for like 2 hours. If and when they do this again, the rivals of aether css is amazing imo and for those wondering the "other" xenoverse 2 song people where asking for is the character creation theme which is easily the best song in the game and top ten all time
Ripley's gonna watch these years later and be SO embarrassed that this is her dad.
Shout-outs to chat for Pushing Dissidia NT Select music, cause game may be weak, but the whole soundtrack goes HARD
If they aren’t playin’ the Gundam Battle Assault 2 Character Select BGM at my funeral then I ain’t dyin’.
Man I remember watching this live. This was amazing night. Totally worth rewatching.
Ahhh I got excited when they did SCII, thought they might do some more SoulCalibur stuff. SCV had an INCREDBLE character selection music.
Mk Deception goes pretty crazy
I’m surprised Dragon Ball Budokai wasn’t on the list, it’s actually good for a character select screen
It is budokai 1 character select theme is iconic
A very decent list of tracks. My only regret is that DNF Duel isn't here. Looking forward to part 2.
The beat on that character selection track is ABSURDLY hard...
DnF Duel's track is a total banger!!
Sc2 is still my favorite character select theme ever. I wish bandai would drop a soulcalibur collection at some point
