  • This very exciting video shows a simple way to connect direct to the ECU by soldering on to the BDM pads. Once you've read the ECU file you can send it over to remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk
    More info available at www.hdi-tuning.co.uk

Get a new software for bdm like 1055, or use kess ktag

@@StevenLewis-HDI-Tuning You mean 1255? And when updated still use 555pro?

Steve the sid803 is bdm only but the 803a is obd. Cheap fgtech v54 for example will easily do it.

Adrian the car guy I've never tried it. If it goes wrong then you can't repair it without the full bdm read if you don't have a backup. Plus the immobiliser can't be removed from these (yet) so you could end up in spot of bother if it does crash.
So far I've found the edc16 to be super unreliable through obd with genuine tools, and these both use the same processor type.
Personally I quite like using bdm and making a full backup, it doesn't take me more than 10 minutes to get the ecu out and open it and get a read, so I don't mind doing it. But thanks for the info!

Hi. I have a 307 hdi xsi RHR running a Siemens sid 803. I am having all sorts of problems with my sensors and now the car won't start. I have been told it's a possible power to the ecu issue. Are those 3 pins the only power and ground feeds I need to check or is that just the bare minimum to read the ecu?

Those are just foe powering the ecu. Probably a faulty ecu, these quite commonly get moisture damage inside.

i had a similar issue, with my rhr, it was the crank sensor.

@@vatrosisqo I can't remember exactly but I can tell you to check the crank sensor and wiring..it's right at the bottom of the engine
So it's susceptible to the elements and it can be the root of many issues with the rhr Siemens...
