Amazing. The most entertaining :)
Thanks for sharing man. Enjoyed the video a lot.
Glad to hear it!
Enjoyed this nice one !
Thank you fir sharing.
The red is glue from when they wave solder the boards.. so the parts don't move. Not a leaking capacitor.
This is red glue, which is originally designed for the purpose of sticking SMD parts to the circuit board,so the process is also called SMT red glue process. And then the circuit board can pass through wave soldering furnace, so that the parts can be stained with tin and bonded to the welding pad on the circuit board.
The problem was 100% from the electrolytic leaking out of capacitor directly above it and that seeped through the via's under the soic chip. There is the glue there you speak of as well but thats not what the liquid is.
I'm going to start working mainly on these boards myself. Along with Solar controllers & inverters.. commercial or residential services. 👋
It is good and satisfying work.
Just decided to watch all your videos ,
And the website meeeen ,hope you stay blessed akhi
thanks for watching! wish I had more time to get more content out but more will come when I get a chance
Keep Going
what did you replace the controller chip for the mosfet that control the sparks
the meter works in cc mode measures the voltage drop and divides by that cc , try if you have the option to increase it to 1 ma it`s usually at 500uA and 2.8V some have the option and allows a more definite measure because 500ua is many times to small to measure semiconductor behaviour especially when the channels are wide like in the case of this igbts , i usually use the bench supply at 5ma configured in cc with the voltage capped at 1.2v
Thanks for contributing.
@@ecurepair i like your videos alot many things that eluded me in repair work come to surface here
Hello Sir Amazing video
Sir I am just 17 I am going to start this job so what you recommend I have no idea what I must Buy I watched video 1000 times about multimeter and ossilascope but I can not understand it yet,So you are as proseffional what are you recommend?
with Best regards
I wish i knew why those caps leaks. Happens a lot in the hyundai hb20 module and some peugeot modules too, damages traces even.
Good job and great video.
Cheers!
Thanks for sharing
Bad seals usually.
I have me 7.47 and after a short drive it starts misfiring randomly
thank you for sharing...is that is the chip for throttle body?
no, its a predriver chip for the ignition coil drivers.
@@ecurepair please make video 271ke throttle driver chip..diag and replace..always waiting for your new vid..🍻💪👍
Hello Sir;I got w639 from year 2004. Old ecu went dead, xentry info was ;ecu empty.I get immo kit from same model from car brekers.Only one didnt get is srs control unit. Now light on. What to do to fix it. Xentry info is srs unit got wrong softa?
not sure sorry . i dont do a lot with MB other then basic stuff
Hello. Could you have found the fault with the curve tracer?
You would have seen oddity with the circuits using a curve tracer yes
Hi, did the repaired ECU run the car ok ? Cheers.
Yes, the repaired one worked perfectly. The cloned one also worked without issue.
@@ecurepair great work, I'm getting stuck into the rest of your vids, cheers.
Hi, can i use multimeter to check fet instead oscilloscope to find resistance?
Im using a multimeter in video to do just that.
Multimeter is the correct tool, scope is not in this instance.
is there any way to get schematics on these ECU's or pretty much you troubleshoot following the circuit
No schematics. You have to trace it all out yourself.
Have seen just yesterday on youtube some guys doing repairs mentioned site where you can find schematic. Perhaps not all ECU but many and information is not free. Don't know is it subscription or one time payment .
It will be homemade stuff if its true at all, but to be honest you really dont need schematics. You just need external harness pinout which is easy enough to find freely off the web.
@@ecurepair Trying to catch black cat hiding in dark room is what you are doing now. Turn light on and you can just grab the cat. Value your own business time.
@snail2171 I like the saying, Thankfully its not too much like that for ecu work. Its fairly easy to trace the circuits based off the symptoms and pinout data.
Sarebbe bello anche una traduzione in italiano 👍
hi, can u share link to buy the ic chip & capacitor?
the chip you pretty much need to take your chance on aliexpress as they are not sold anywhere authentically. The capacitor you can get anywhere
Hi, how did you test it?
What do you mean? Pretty much all in the video. After repairs it was put in car and everything worked great. No more misfire issues.
Can you fix a ecu with code p062b Infiniti
Probably but usually Nissan stuff its easier to just replace it.
low volume
Please don’t use hot glue on ECUs, I recommend using the black bostik here as well.
Truthfully I never use hot glue. Thats why I make such a mess of it. In this video I happened to have a stick beside me from where I was putting some transponder keys together and decided to experiment with it. I had already cloned a replacement unit the customer would be using. Hot glue is pretty safe to use for electronics though and the melting point should be high enough to not be a problem.
I usually use a special oxime silicone that I have done numerous tests on to ensure it safe for use.
Looks like all the new stuff is being made to fail and stay failed much like battery BMS systems. Only those with the microprocessor firmwares that can program will be able to fix things. Microprocessors will lockout when sensing certain errors. Thats the way its gonna be my homies.
