Metallica ‘One’ GarageBand cover

Here is my cover of ‘One’ the masterpiece by Metallica. This was a challenge to get all the classic Metallica guitar tones correct and Lars drum sound. Of course I had to do the bass and then pretty much mix it right out 😂. Enjoy! 🤘

Thanks! I love that you noticed that. Its kinda of the funny Metallica thing that AJFA has literally no bass. I was contemplating not even bothering to do the bass for this track 😂

Man this is awesome! You really get the tones of all guitars. This is fantastic work. And next time you can make Fade to Black live, especially with James's 12 strings double neck guitar, it would be super. I prefere the live versions from album version.

Your timing is impeccable I thought almost all the instruments were synth. I’d like to know, how did you produce this so well on GarageBand?

Thanks for the compliment! yeah this was all played on guitar and bass, no synths used 😉. I worked on getting the timing down cause when you are playing with programmed drum track you gotta be on point. Production was trial and error. I would listen to the album song then try to replicate it as close as possible.

It took me just over a month or so. I spent a good chunk of time just trying to get the tones and drums as close as i could.
