Each time I observe acts of justice in everyday situations, this is the melody that pops into my ear without me forcing it to do so, Metallica actually found out what justice SOUNDS like.

Blackened Intro is #1 for me. It was the first song I ever really heard from Metallica after I bought AJFA from Rasputins in 7th grade. I vividly remember sitting at my dining room table for whatever reason and putting my cd in and just getting blown away.
I really like the Too Far Gone riff/harmony because of the way it combines the harmony into one solid riff that starts with the chugs and ends with the harmony

2 Huge misses for me....Leper Messiah. After the solo, wow, that is so groovy, great harmony with Lars double-kick in the background. And then Ride the Lightning, right after Kirk's epic solo is a pretty sweet harmony section. It's pretty basic, but fast as hell and sounds awesome in the context of the song.
I feel like maybe you don't know what harmony means. The two specific spots you mentioned don't have a harmonized section. Harmony is when there is a lead guitar melody and two or more layered parts playing in major thirds or minor thirds or whatever the interval might be. The parts "harmonize" with each other. You're just talking about a couple riffs.

Metallica have truly written what to me are some of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard and have inspired me in my writing tremendously. All the pain in James's life perhaps gives birth to this in the music.

Some that I disagree(mainly just no.45 and no.41) but Lords of Summer, there's a reason why I love the garage demo a whole lot more and it's because they really extend that melody and harmony to the max, and it sounds beefier. Overall great list man.
Maybe just me and a bit of a Hot Take, I personally liked 72 Seasons and Hardwired. I didn't feel like the harmonies on specific tracks "saved" those albums, as I felt they were good albums with good quality songs on them. (The harmonies were of course good, but not "album savers," just flavor.) Also, some newer harmonies I would personally rank higher than older ones. (Specifically AJFA, as I actually don't like that record. I only like 3 whole songs, and only actively listen to 2 of them.)

The call of ktulu and for whom the bell tolls harmonies are underrated
A couple things:
1) eye of the beholder mad underrated.
2) i would have put the one outro way higher, but maybe i like that song too much
3) i think i would have had orion as my 1, man that song is so crazy good

This is gonna sound really weird. I honestly think Inamorata should be top 5. It truly is the gem of modern-day Metallica
Great video! Maybe you could try and find some Metallica like font and also place your text (not the song title) in the center (and make it a little bigger). It's a valid list imo

Can't argue with you list and your placements. Metallica thrived when they used harmonics. I wish they would continue that trend.

I will say I started this video a bit critical because I thought you were being so harsh to some amazing songs, but by the end I find I actually can't help but agree. Really well ranked.
I love the credit you give to cliff because it’s exactly what he deserves. The things I and many other people think to like about metallica‘s music, we actually like about Cliff‘s music. And that’s no shame to metallica‘s music. I hear no band more than them but cliff was just above anybody else
He really didn't write that much though its all mainly James music with cliff and Kirks flourishes on them
