I don’t care what anybody says about this guy. I believe an objective learner with no agenda would see he’s identified the best way to swing a bat at a baseball.
@@spannoschannel599 No, I don’t think it’s new, but I still hear and see the majority of hitting coaches from Little League to College teaching to push the barrel straight to the ball.
We have watched your videos and gone to one on one training with some of your training coaches. This was the best video to help my daughter in her first U14 game. She had her first home run all because this video clicked with her compared to other training techniques. Thank you very much!
I've been giving private baseball lessons and coaching for a few years now and there are 2 things I am encouraged by. One, I have been more or less using your approach without knowing it and 2) THANK-YOU for the videos they are superb and help me with my teaching approach, immensely.
I saw your stuff via UA-cam shorts a few days ago and tonight in the cages, I tried it. The ball came off my bat like it was shot out of a cannon! Keep doing what you’re doing good sir!
This guy's vids are so interesting to me. I only played through Legion, hockey was my thing, but even in high school, my coach played in the A's organization, and he never even taught us how to swing properly. It was from Little League and up, as to where we just swung like we swung, and that was it. I would've probably been more interested, if we were learning a baseball science, such as this.
I just wanna say that this works, watching these videos and taking time to understand what he’s talking about and piecing it together. Its done wonders for me, found new power I didn’t know I had and hitting for great average.
This stuff works. Been obsessed with all the videos. Just got back from the batting cages and I have never barreled balls like I just did. Line drives over second base all day long
After seeing his technique, in past vid’s, I told my 9 yr old son about starting in an open stance to start the action, boom 💥 here it is! I am getting what he’s laying down!!
Love you your videos, just about every aspect of hitting has been covered. I was htting in the cage today and showed a lot of improvement, keep up these helpful videos👍
Teacherman... why does it seem that the Japanese seem to codify the swing principles you teach the most? You must be aware of that look but curious how traditionally they came to that model as opposed to most American hitting.
Wondering if it's cause of there exposure to kendo. Musashi believed one should hold a katana not like a sword. But like a fishing rod instead. And that your swing should be that of casting fishing rod. And your cast be like a stroke of the Calligraphy pen.
I don't see the swing path you teach in the live players that you show. But with that being said you do present some good information for thought and there's some good stuff in this video for youngsters learning to load
Hey Richard, I'm getting back into a wood bat league after playing slow-pitch for nearly a decade. I have started using your teachings and implementing them as best as I can but a majority of my contact swings are pop ups to the infield. What can I focus on to square up more?
That really is kerry carpenters swing pretty amazing how good he has been for are tigers now if he can just stay healthy for a complete season he could have an amazing season
@teacherman: One thing I’ve been curious that I haven’t seen addressed in any of your videos is if the lead elbow should stay bent as long as possible or straighten out? I feel like half of the players featured do it one way and the the other half do it the other way. Maybe it doesn’t matter but I’m curious to know
I think I’d you pivot the bat instead of push the bat it doesn’t matter. Acuna “arm bars” but boy does that bat still pivot and crush the ball consistently. Just my opinion though
Noticed that Teacherman holds his hands on the bat with a "boxed" grip, not knockers over knockers. Have you ever looked into the best batting grips? This video goes into it: ua-cam.com/video/VpuXvCA3fPc/v-deo.html
Pay attention to the way big leaguers hold the bat. You should be skeptical of anyone claiming that something is correct if the best hitters in the game do not do it.
@@ffstone77ify the man has Aaron Judge and D1 softball girls instructing them on his shorts. Need more evidence? as much as I or you may not agree with his hitting lessons, the man does have hitters to show for it
@VinceALince_SRT he claims them yes but this is not how you hit or teach hitting. Think what you want but he's the reason numbers in the MLB are declining. He's ruined guys careers. Do more research. The guy doesn't know baseball. Never played it.

Literally looks like all the best swings on TV! Who you gonna believe? You’re own eyes or UA-cam commenters!?!
😂 ok

This guy is Aaron Judge hitting coach. That says it all.

I don't play baseball - but Richard is a great person. I love his swing... he's a great guy for sure! He makes me wanna swing a bat!
Another great video
Teacherman for swinging a bat & Dr. Kwon and Athletic Motion Golf for swinging a golf club.
Love these videos. Thank you!

Just awesome!
Richard, we needed this video as we're transitioning from the one legged loaded launch position to the full swing.

How do you teach the coil/load with a no stride swing?
Best coach and best coach online.
Made some big improvements today with starting open! this was a good day. Thank you
Do you have trainer coaches in the Houston area?
Is this for one hand follow throughs only ?

Using your hands and forearm strength because it sounds like everything is working but your arm muscles.
Try have a flat swing and not listening to nonsense
Lack of coordination could be a reason
Because this guys methods work. When you are 6,4 250 but your probably not
Are you still local to the STL area? Do you teach or have employees that teach youth?

Can you breakdown Griffey swing please
