On Saturday the 7th of August, Country Stitchers is hosting a stitch day in conjunction with Stitches Unlimited.
*Bring show and tell if you would like to share some of your work with the others (it is great fun to see each others pieces!)
*There will also be a table for sharing needlework items...(patterns or needlework supplies)
*Finally, bring a favorite snack or side dish to share!
*There will be a "make and take" table with a small project (included with your registration fee)
*Also - that day Liz will present a peyote demonstration

Watching you today makes me want to drop my current projects and browse through my old magazines and books. I have a few magazines that I started getting from the premier issues and some subscriptions were even through to the last issues. My goodness! But my stitching evolved and I put the more simple stitching behind me I think. One magazine published a calendar every year and I have those. Boy, I’m dating myself. I enjoy you two ladies and your banter and I love seeing the patterns from the past with the old colors that were popular back then. I sewed a stamped cross stitch king size quilt I bought from Herschners 40 years…and I, still using it. Now that I think of it, I know I also have a WIP of 42 stamped quilt blocks. Oh my.

I love the gadgets you show each video. My boo boo stick got lost years ago. Great progress on your stitching. I don't know how you 2 do so much and still manage to travel, etc. Kaleidoscope is beautiful as is the Virginia kit. So much eye candy this time. I have been binge watching your channel for about a month . I'm only up to 75! I thought I would finally see your most recent one, I was not disappointed. I love all the designs and colours in the earlier samplers you have done. I am from Dunedin NZ and we have just recently got a new cross stitch shop stitch witches which has samplers on the walls that are like the ones you guys do! You are so inspiring. I have learnt so much. I am so interested in the stash box!

Another great video. The last time I looked through a kaleidoscope was in a thrift shop. I love the state of Virginia from the ocean to the mountains. Liz's review of magazine patterns made me smile (and I remember a few that she showed!!). I am currently stitching a rooster pattern from Just CrossStich from a decade ago. It's a 2 magazine series of the French Rooster. I started the Bantam rooster a couple of weeks ago and substituted one of the new Colors colors, Open Spaces, for the border to capture the colors of a farm (wheat and corn fields). I'm stitching it for my nephew, Samson, who lives in Hawaii. The last time visited, he asked me if I was still cross stitching because in the house, are two framed pieces to did for my mom that still hangs in the living room in memory of her.

I have a collection of 22 kaleidoscope. This stitched piece would be a lovely addition to hang near my kaleidoscope collection.The Santa jumping Jack that Liz showed from an old magazine is in my stash with plans for me to stitch for my daughter to add to her jumping Jack collection. She more than 100 jumping jacks. Yes, we have some out-of-the norm collections.
