Programming 2014 Cadillac ATS Key Fob in Minutes

I dropped my key in the water and the battery would die in a week. I was about to spend the money at the dealer when I saw the manual had the programming instructions. I bought the key and did it myself!

Thanks for trying to help! Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me. After trying it about 5 times, I looked in the owners manual and the procedure was slightly different. When I followed that procedure it worked!

On my 2014 ats I had to add a step to make it work. After you turn the key 5 times, you have to press the start on the dash. All else is correct.

What if you dont have the old FOB? I only have the metal part, still will work?? with new FOB?

Unfortunately for this method, u need the old fob

Idk how you guys arent tripping the anti theft. I cant even get the car to prompt the reprogram because of it. (Keyfob dead, battery is new. Pocket can still recognize dead key fob)

Yeah, you will be able to use your old one. I now have the new one as a backup

Just tried that and it didn't work my car never wants to enter programming mode even after following one of the comments instruction that was pushing the start/off button or even acting as the sign/alarm have already appeared
