    Stuff we use:
CAMERA - This is the camera we have used to film 90+% of our interviews (over 200 interviews and counting) It continues to be our workhorse - amzn.to/2u66V1J
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
    AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/2tbFlM9
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z
EDITING - We upgraded our editing suite this year and we’re glad we did! This has improved our workflow and the quality of our work. Having new software also helps when we have a problem, it’s easy to search and find a solution - goo.gl/56LnpM

The great thing about these videos is that you let him talk. You didn't try to interrupt with meaningless questions to make yourself sound smart or engaged. The best interviews are the ones where the subject gets the chance to spill everything on their time and in their way. It really makes these small clips addictive. Great job!

I’ve had that same out of body experience, as he’s describing him or something looking down at him it reminded me of seeing myself laying outside of my car against the rear tire from being pulled out of the driver’s seat by my neighbor. I was shot 6x and survived. My life was sparred and indeed everyday is a bonus. God is good and his timing is perfect. 🙌🏽

@8:10 "There are things in this universe happening far beyond my intellect" A reality that most will smirk about and or role their eyes at, until they're thrown into or humbly placed in a situation they cannot mentally handle. Most folk will rather put their trust in and believe the words of a fool than use their eyes and mind efficiently to see things for what they really are.

    • @pahzplace7853

lolololololololololololololol he won't even voice what it made him understand, but any who, that isn't important, as he experienced what he experienced for his own evolution and growth! When Life allows you to see and experience ***things that's outside of what you've created to be your norm, your supposed comfort zone nothing stays the same. Especially if you're one of those types that really believe you're in control of x,y,z compliments of your works. Most folk can't even fathom why their words and what they're saying doesn't phase those that they try to harm, intimidate or fool.......and that's because their level of life (how they're living) has no clue about what prompts them to do, think and be the person that they've subscribed to being.

Bill Duke is one of the very few Americans who make me feel normal due to my extremely dark complexion ,being born to 2 African parents who could both trace the family tree back to the 1600's to 100% African forefathers my complexion is darker than 95% of US born blacks and I caught holy hell as a child because of it ,not by the white kids who in 1952 had never met a real African ,I caught hell from the US born black kids who were ruthless & made me hate myself ,to be hurtful the black kids in my class called me " Blue Gums " and " Mr Crispy " or " Stove Pipe " and it did real damage to my self worth until I joined the Marine Corps in 1965 ,no matter how low self esteem a young man has it's 100% certian that becoming a US Marine will make any man feel invincable ,after my 1st combat tour with 1/9 I knew I was the baddest man in the neighborhood & women could sense my self confidence, especially white women ,women can smell cowardice & low self esteem on a man like the smell of hard liquor ,my wife who I've been married to for 46 years told me long ago that it was my huge inflated ego that attracted her to me and she's a Lebanese woman ,for all you ultra dark complexion kids out there feeling bad because you don't fit in with black America just know that your special ,like a red headed white person is special to the Caucasian races ,all of us super dark complexion black men are special to the negroid races and we should be proud,it took my 2 decades to learn my skin tone was a positive aspect of myself .

Forgive for they do not know what they are doing. Even though you marry a white woman your children will be mixed and you will still be black. So don't let your skin colour push you to self hatred or hatred for your people. Godless you.. I m very skinny trust me the black boys in my class made me see he'll! I tell you if it's not you skin colour it's your eyes, if it not your eyes it's the fact that your legs are not straight or you are fat. People are just dump and stupid and lack proper home training.

This is a truly remarkable and rich story. Bill"s story on his inner transformation about race and this story brings us back to what's really important about us as screenwriters. That is to say , screenwriting is something we do, not what or who we are. The Universe always let's us know that we are merely playing the role of a writer. The true essence of ourselves is simply the observer who is watching, without attachment, the journey play out.

There are children that are exposed to experiences that open certain energies in them for good reason. Whether or not they tell their parents or share it is irrelevant, but trust and know that it happens.

In ancient times to impale your enemies while alive was expected. To seize your enemies and discomfit them was the norm long before God permitted them in Israel's theocracy. We humans initiated those systems of warfare and not God. Death is what we introduced into the human sphere. So dont blame God in ancient times of using our systems to reveal Himself!!!

@@yungheat84 I'm not worried because there is nothing to fear at the end of life. Dead men tell no tales and there is no tangible of demonstrable proof of heaven, hell, or gods. I am being the best person in this life for myself and others because I want to be not HAVE to be. I dont need some book or authoritive "supernatural" figure to be nice or to help others,etc.. If that's the case for you or others, I suggest you question yourself and the god you worship. We all have to die so there is no such thing as dying too young or before your time. If you survived something with insurmountable odds then you did just that, you beat the odds....nothing more or less.

why?!? what does that even mean?! Are you saying that because he was fortunate to escape disaster he owes Jesus something?!? Do you think that you would owe your mother, father or a stranger that comes to your aide in a time of need something, if they chose to help you or even save you. what would he devote himself to Jesus to prove, as what would you say to those who were less fortunate and fell prey to whatever set up or incidence. Would you tell them that they should have devoted themselves to Jesus, and they still would be alive or nah?!

His survival had nothing to do with no fake white sky daddy. Jesus didn't save my Ancestors, hell we didn't know a damn thing about that slave religion. Our Ancient African spirituality predates any Christianity.
