His uniqueness is what captivates me. He speaks from the flow of his own soul. His is self-aware, and his words carry a high flavor of compassion & understanding of human beings. I love him. ❤
Yes he is totally relatable to all and comes from a place of humility in which he gives you the constructive criticism whilst sharing his personal experience both positive and negative or one that he has learned about relevant enabling us to put the advice in to context and how can benefit us in real life, he’s also a very great storyteller and I noticed how he shows gratitude and appreciation for the life he is able to create through his work
48, still don’t know what I’m supposed to pursue or what I want to “do”. I’ve come to realize not everyone fits into expectations. Some of us are ok to be here and live out life as a well-qualified human being. So much of the paradigm is crafted by capitalism. I guess that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but not everyone fits in the box and somehow life is still worthwhile. Maybe because I’m a woman, but in all honesty much of the discourse belongs to a masculine perspective and experience. Each person is important for their own path and worth as a unique life. You don’t need to produce anything or be anything to be valued and worthwhile.
I found this conversation with Robert Greene so captivating. As we talked, I found myself getting more and more absorbed in his words, his ideas, and his personality. Talk about the Art of Seduction! Yet, I don't think seduction is the full picture. It also felt like Robert is genuine, kind, incredibly bright, and funny. I'll remember this conversation for a long time. If you have yet to become a Robert fan or to read his books, you have a fascinating journey ahead.
This conversation was brillant, I really appreciated your short "hmm" when Robert shared something thought-provoking, many host are quick to chime in an add-on similarity or experience and you let his brilliance shine. Had to watch it again it was so great.
Captivating indeed! Great discussion questions. I could listen to him all day every day. @54:00 - 55:08 👈🏽 that’s exactly what makes him incredibly unique.
Robert Greene is the ultimate contemporary Renaissance man. With his unique, masterful blend of language(s), philosophy, history, and psychology, he has no equal.
Omg I can't believe he said he was enthralled with language and words, and refers to it as music. I've always said this!!! A good writer strings symphonies together with words! My favorite thing in the world as a kid was to be surrounded by books and read all day
My oldest son too since he was four years old. When he joined the Navy and was stationed in Italy, he took 150 books he had collected. He didn’t take anything else with him. On his tenth birthday, we gave him a party and couldn’t find him. I found him in his bedroom reading a book which he had been expecting and arrived that day. I had to tell him to put his book away and come back to the party.
I don't care if I sound dramatic, I played this while I was sorting out tons of laundry, and I had to stop for a few moments because I got chills at how profound the message was to me, how inspiring, I have heard a lot of Robert Greene interviews and Tyler your questions really brought something out of Robert that just resonated so well. Thank you, this was amazing.
By my late 20’s I realized I can’t work for others. Did some independent contractor work for a while until I started my own businesses. I do not do well with micro-management. I am open to feedback but I’m super responsible so having a Manager or Boss is unnecessary for me and annoying. But I do hire coaches all the time so I can improve and get honest feedback. I share your dislike for workplace dynamics
i like what you said, I do not do well with Bosses too cause sometimes I feel like it’s unnecessary for me. Probably bec. I know I could function well myself as the BOSS. Then I knew I what I have to be, a boss of my own and not an employee. Now, I’m running an LLC. It’s still a work of progress but atleast I’m starting somewhere right, we will all get there eventually. Persistence and hard-work.❤
I have heard of integrating the Shadow-Self into the psyche from another Philosopher on UA-cam. But what makes things complicated involves Dark influence from outside forces. Naturally, I was indeed selfish person on an unspeakable level. During my childhood, there was a certain character on Foster Home for Imaginary Friends I hated too much, I never knew why I hated him until I realize I was looking in a reflection of a side I was denying. Today, I am still a selfish person, I'd strongly advocated to push away from this survival mindset to a thriving mindset because I knew this post-scarcity era. Knowing all of Humanity's Technological progression and widespread prosperity would without a doubt benefit myself. The moment I thought I had this Shadow self fully integrated, I was faced with influence by outside forces. Thanks to many psychopaths online not only displaying their lack of remorse but taking pleasure in the suffering of others, I developed a strong desire for Vengeance, am aware it can be integrated in a form of competition. Unfortunately, the situation I currently face does not make that easy at all. It's even worse, since my Influenced Vindictive Dark Side is conflicting with my Naturally Selfish Dark Side.
Yeah, this material world is quite a challenge. I'm 69, and I've been working on controlling my dark side, second self most of my life. It's quite an adventure when you're checking yourself. The journey and rewards are well worth it. Thanks for sharing your journey! ❤
Interesting! You should write more about this. You’re not alone in this. There are other people out here who are experiencing a similar reality. It’s great that you are aware of it. You have a unique voice and I think that you can write a very interesting book.
Fantastic interview! Robert Greene is a brilliant contributor to society. Our moment in time is fortunate to have him. Fantastic interviewer too. Excellent questions and facilitation of the discussion! Well done and thank you!

When Robert mentions Fabrica in Italy I nearly fell off my chair! I worked there for a couple of years in the late 90s. It was very disfunctional and unpleasant, but also a place where a new life started for me, too. And for many many other people! I feel that it was a shitty place for new personal and professional connections and new exciting directions. I wonder what Robert thinks about this and if he feels that some places in certain times somehow do the job of connecting people, like airports or train stations where people meet, arrive at, depart from, return to and where new directions are possible. When I first discovered Robert Greene I was looking for a good author of good audiobooks to listen to while drawing. He felt so weirdly familiar from the beginning, I found myself alone in the room kind of commenting aloud on what he says in interviews and audiobooks as if I knew him. Then I heard about his experience at Fabrica and thought about the building, the people, the lawn and the fountain in front of the building, the food from the canteen, the dirt road leading there and so much more that I now know we share an experience of. I wonder if it's just me or if sensitive people can sense common links and experiences in people before they even hear about them?
I felt a bit judgemental when I heard the 48 laws of power but I saw the Jordan Peterson interview and I've bought Robert's book and now I like him 😊 a lot of these rules are things I've also thought and I love his take on empathy. 100% true.

I’ve watched many interviews with Robert Greene across the web and this one is by far the best! I’m sharing this with my 22 yr. old grandson. I wish I’d known or been taught these laws when I was in my 20’s, but it’s perfect timing for him. It’s perfect timing for me as well, as the title suggests, the wisdom is timeless, and applies to all ages.
Terrific interview. I’ve been watching a lot of Robert Greene content. This is one of my favorite interviews. You bring out some special ideas from an already brilliant gentleman. 💚 I also believe the music distracts from the conversation. It lends a disingenuous sentimental push, and the auditory choice competes with the words. 💘 Thank you for your work. I’ve subscribed!

I am very grateful to be able to listen to this interview in particular but I love all his work. It is a privilege to have him in this world with so much love to humanity. Sharing his knowledge and effort to continue to give us the best of him. Thank you very much. God bless you and your family.
One of the best discoveries of my life is Robert Green, I wish I had found him fifty years ago. It has taken me way too long to understand what I now understand and Robert has defined it in his books. His books should be a class in school. I am so thankful that I found him. I discovered him reading Ryan Holiday who is also very good read! THANK YOU ROBERT
You give us permission to be ourselves unabashed to celebrate yourself Mr. Greene. You say it's ok to play & to be silly & to be different. To allow ourselves to come out and be seen. To be accepted, by accepting ourselves first.
Thank you for helping me accept more flaws about myself that I haven’t admitted to myself, but discovery of some too. I am embracing all of that of myself. It’s helped me mold who I am today. Shadow is necessary work. But now I have to stop being afraid of my light. Thanks again.
Thank you for this interview! I have only read excerpts of Robert’s books, but after listening to this interview, I want to read them very closely - maybe I can glean some guidance to apply to my own life as I am beginning anew at 49, lol. Thank you for reminding us it’s never too late. Such great energy in this exchange - with an excellent interviewer! - & their presence together is a beautiful combination of open, genuine communication, humble gratitude, down-to-earth relatable perspective, authentic intelligence, & compassionate wisdom.
If i was ever able to choose a famous person to meet in my life, it would be RG - all this information brings me closer to the shore of knowing what i need to do with my life, im almost 60 i raised five humans im super proud of, mostly on my own in Zimbabwe, and I am lost in the sand about what to do now that they've all left home and Africa-
For Robert, I've just heard you say you were rebellious and stubborn and didn't follow what anyone said. I think you were what you were supposed to be. I also was stubborn and rebellious when I was little and I still am. I believe its part of your character that you are meant to be. Whoever doesn't agree with you about your stubborness or rebelliousness has a problem with their sense of tolerance. We need the tolerance to accept who someone is and to accept our own darkness within us like this video is about. And you have your own ideas about accepting our own darkness or to show the shadow side of ourselves. You know how to do that and I believe that you can accept yourself as you actually are since you've done much of that already. So please not be down on yourself when you just may tell someone to be themselves already yourself. You do so well in explaining yourself and don't change who you really are. I do know how you may be tempted to "clear things up" or "clarify" yourself to others but just keep trying not to do that. You've been doing so well with that already. Being yourself looks best on you, Robert.
If you enjoy subjects about masculinity and mastery, I invite you to explore the videos I share on the Mastery Order Channel. Challenge yourself with some concepts about manhood, explore your masculine potential to the maximum and become the kind of man you would respect and look up to. We can only better ourselves together, as men among men, so I invite you to use what I share and, of course, share your own opinions so that others can benefit from them as well. All the best to you!

Interesting when he says about the things that inspired you as a kid before all the bullshit that dulls your life.I wish I’d watched this 50 years ago.
Thank you very much for the interview. I especially like his comment on being bold. It takes another level of courage and clarity to follow through one's vision in the face of controversy.
You need to make that book about the vulture and early peoples into a children’s book. It sounds like a fascinating tale! I can see it all in my head, lol. Do it!!

Seriously you are captivating in the best ways

If you enjoy subjects about masculinity and mastery, I invite you to explore the videos I share on the Mastery Order Channel.
Challenge yourself with some concepts about manhood, explore your masculine potential to the maximum and become the kind of man you would respect and look up to.
We can only better ourselves together, as men among men, so I invite you to use what I share and, of course, share your own opinions so that others can benefit from them as well.
All the best to you!

Interesting when he says about the things that inspired you as a kid before all the bullshit that dulls your life.I wish I’d watched this 50 years ago.
It’s never too late to be who you were destined to be. It seeks you too x
The best..
I do not know what a Irish Mass is....
Bless you Papa
Lol
Thank you very much for the interview. I especially like his comment on being bold. It takes another level of courage and clarity to follow through one's vision in the face of controversy.
You need to make that book about the vulture and early peoples into a children’s book. It sounds like a fascinating tale! I can see it all in my head, lol. Do it!!
Looking forward to your new book, Robert 🌟
