Lol, it amazes me every time I watch your channel and see things so close to us we haven't done yet!! We have family coming this summer and I think a canoeing trip is on our list. Love that you showed a stop over spot! That second house is gorgous too!
I love sharing great stuff I come across. If/when we’re living in France, I have about a million places I want to see. One being Eymet and my new friends!
Love your channel Tommy 😊❤. But dont forget about us adrenaline junkies. I love skiing, mountain climbing, ice climbing steep ice and love my snowmobile . I assume the French Alps would be best fit. Im not interested in lazy rivers, wine tasting , or walking paths . Anything for us ? ❤😊 You always find best deals appreciate 🙏 you and your channel ❤😊
My hip started hurting just reading that! 😂 I personally enjoy skiing, biking, and hiking. But most of my audience is over 50. So I likely won’t show much of that stuff. Unless I happen to come across it. Then I will!
@traveltirement Just celebrated my 55th 😳birthday. I'll admit I'm an aging adrenaline junkie. My climbs are alittle shorter and my back-pack is alittle lighter lol 😁. Kinda rediscovered cross country skiing, it's mellow , less prone to injuries. My ankles are trashed from rock climbing too. Snowmobiles are fun Tommy , just sit back and enjoy and share the trails 😊❤️
I’m all about the lazy rivers, wine tasting and walking paths!! Unfortunately don’t have cash for any of these (well possibly the one under 100k). I understand getting a mortgage past age 50 in France is not gonna happen, so I appreciate the properties for under 100k. Thank for your research and great detail!
@@jodiehebert8285 Yeah, the mortgages in France (and Italy) are different. The process to reclaim a house is super protective of the borrower/home owner, so banks just focus on your age and income. And I also love the lazy rivers and wine tastings!
Taxes on property are different than in the US. Tax d’habitation is not paid if it’s your primary residence. Tax fonciere is closer to our property tax, but it’s set by the local government based on many factors. Both of these are typically €20-€30 per square meter per year.
its not the number of bedrooms that matters, it is the number of bathrooms (if you wanted to have it be an Inn). the fact that they do not disclose this is telling. Most travellers going to that area wont want to share bathrooms. Putting new piping and nw bathrooms throughout teh house would canibalize bedrooms and cost a fortune. figure $40k? per bath? x 20 bathrooms.. there is 800K right there.... Of course, idont know what is there. Tey donnt say it on the listing. But, this area is ver beautiful (Dordogne) and i appreciate seeing this. THanks. (and i can land my helicopter!) -:)
@@TraveltirementItaly sorry friend. didnt mean to be critical. Dordogne is absolutely lovely and tis could be a great project for someone. i made the comment because i own and inn.
Love all the additional information on the area!
Thanks. I love discovering new things I missed visiting!
Enjoyed the video Tommy and thank you for this presentation. The second house is a steal and very very affordable, Take care my friend
Glad you enjoyed it. Come back for more!
@@TraveltirementItaly Absolutely will be back, take care Tommy

Beautiful homes, but what are the property taxes like in these areas ? Thanks

Can you do videos about buying a houses in Italy for 1 euro . Who to contact
I don't cover €1 euro homes.
If you search "€1 euro homes sicily" or "€1 euro homes italy" you'll get a bunch of videos.
Best of luck!
